Choosing Michael and Kailyn was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! They are everything you could possibly want in wedding photographers - kind, easy-going, and fun. We initially chose Michael for his outdoor scenic shots and unfortunately our wedding day was super rainy. We were outside for about 15 minutes all day to get pictures, and to be honest I thought the chances of us getting shots as good as we'd hoped were slim to none. Luckily, the weather the following day was beautiful and we ended up getting everything we wanted and then some in an extra shoot! But if I'm being honest, what really blew us away were the shots throughout the wedding day. I was fooled into thinking they would be 'normal' wedding pictures of family, decor, etc. because they shot so effortlessly and quick. I have to admit, I was so wrong! Their creativity is amazing, and their use of different angles and colours really make every picture come alive.

On top of the fact that we received hundreds of amazing pictures, Michael and Kailyn truly added something special to our wedding day. Besides each other, they are probably the two people we were with the most throughout the day and I have to say it was heartwarming to have them with us. The level of love, respect and admiration they have for each other and their respective talents was something beautiful to see, and exactly the kind of feels you want to be surrounded with on your wedding day.

My husband and I both agree the Steingards were an excellent choice and worth every penny! An investment you will never regret!!!

We loved having Michael & his wife Kailyn shoot our epic elopement in Banff! We first met Michael for our engagement shoot and knew we had to have his easy going and contagious energy present on our day. From making us feel comfortable and natural with poses, to making us laugh out loud, they captured the genuine love between us in their pictures. It was an absolute blast to work with them and we loved seeing our pictures in their photography style - from candid to documentary, their pictures tell a story!
Michael & Kailyn are fearless in doing what they have to to get that money shot (ie. balancing on wet rocks & lending a coat so we wouldn't sit on mud) & show nothing but joy for their work as they do it. They are so in tune with details from using Google Earth to find epic shooting spots in a foreign province, to their gear choices, photography knowledge, & amazing image manipulation skills.
We really appreciated their patience with all of our questions and wedding day changes, their speedy correspondence, and how quickly our sneak peek photos came in. We cannot wait to see the rest & our video!
Thank you both for making our day so breathtakingly memorable! & for being so wiling to put on all the different hats during our ceremony! You guys by far exceeded our expectations for hiring a wedding photographer!

I can't even begin to describe how much of a pleasure it was to have Michael shoot our wedding. What sets Michael apart from any other photographer is his artistic vision and extraordinary technical skills. Michael's ability to coach us into poses bringing out the best of the moment and the environment truly made every shot creative, artistic, and special. I have received countless comments of how our wedding photos look like they are straight out of a magazine and Michael was able to produce those photos will little touchups or effects. And best of all, Michael is so personable that it felt like he was just one of our friends, which was a great bonus since we directly spent from 10:30 am - 4:30pm with him shooting pictures.

We had the privilege of having Michael and Kailyn shoot both our engagment and wedding photos! They were at the top of our list to photograph our wedding. We have friends who had them shoot their wedding and we both fell Inlove with their style of capturing a wedding and the creativity in every picture they took was refreshing and just flipping amazing! They are both the most chilled and down to earth people we know, we both felt so comfortable and ourselves being with them and during photo taking - throughout our wedding day we felt so relaxed and at ease that they would capture our day perfectly, and they did above and beyond! You will feel like an ultimate celebrity as they snap away the moments of your day...the laughter never stops with these two, especially when they capture the natural and genuine moments with your spouse to be. Communication with them was phenomenal and so reassuring and prompt, we planned our wedding in a short 6 months and they were always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. I love how they captured our wedding in a way that matched our personalities and the style of our wedding - every picture they took was unique to us and our day. Everything down from being socialable with our family and making children laugh whilst taking pictures of them, and just being their talented amazing selves - you will not be disappointed with their work! Highly highly highly recommend them for any wedding/engagment/family event, they love what they do and have ridiculous skill and talent in photography!!!

We recently hired Michael and Kailyn to photograph our wedding and it was the best decision that we made. Our experience with them began with a very well thought out, kind and informative email about their packages and why they love what they do. We then met with them in person and it was like hanging out with our best friends, we immediately felt relaxed and comfortable with both of them. They were very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had. On our wedding day they were very prompt and prepared for everything; they knew what types of photos we were looking for and they had many of their own great ideas. Our wedding party and family all loved working with Michael and Kailyn. They worked so well with the children in our family and had all of them smiling and laughing. They provided us with a same day slide show of some of our photos for our guests to see which was a huge hit. I still have guest and family talking about how kind Michael and Kailyn are and how impressed they were with them on our wedding day. The quality of the photos are stunning and so natural. You won't regret hiring this wonderful couple!

The pictures we received from Michael are more amazing than we expected. He was able to capture all of what my husband and I were hoping for. Michael accomplished the destination “beach feel” when we were on a beach in Hamilton. He took candid guest photos that captured the many laughs and smiles that my husband and I were too busy to see on the day of. Most importantly, Michael was able to create a repertoire of photos with a touch of romance while capturing our playful side! He is very creative, somehow using the very simplest of backgrounds (my hotel room) and turning it into a glamorous photo by using the marble floor!! Michael is also very flexible. He kept his cool and was very supportive when things weren’t quite going according to plan and when we were running late. I am so thankful for that! My husband and I are so pleased with our pictures. Michael truly is talented. Thank you for providing us with precious memories that we will now have for a lifetime!

There are simply no words to describe the quality of the pictures and the service Michael and his wife Kailyn offer. Booking Michael to shoot our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. He was kind, courteous and professional. His pacing was also fantastic. I found out about Micheal Steingard from a friend who also used him for his wedding. I immediately feel in love with Michael's art and knew when I got married I had to have him. A few years later my opportunity came and I booked Micheal. From our first phone conversation I knew Michael has a passion for what he does, and I couldn't wait to have those same amazing pictures my friend had for his wedding. Micheal and Kailyn were always professional, and responded to all my questions quickly. On the wedding day they were both awesome! Down-to-earth and in love with their jobs. They both have an eye for wonderful shots, and I can guarantee you won't be disappointed. I've showed my pictures to numerous people, and they all were blown away by their talent; in addition I have already been asked to forward their contact info to friends of friends. I really don't know where to start. Michael was nothing short of amazing!!! If there was a word better than amazing, that is what I would be using. Michael was hands down the best decision my husband and I made for our destination wedding in Punta Cana. Right from the first phone call, he was pleasant, easy to talk to and get along with, compassionate, professional and informative. Looking at his work before we spoke, I knew this was the guy that needed to capture the moments from our special day. Michael is truly an artist in his work and he has fun doing it!! He never missed a beat or a shot at a breath taking photographic opportunity. He even throws in a Trash the Dress session and he does NOT skimp on that at all!!! We spent a good chunk of the day before our wedding day with him for this session and have some absolutely amazing photos that we love sharing with family and friends. Looking at our photos, there is no question that Michael is in a class of his own as a photographer. If you're just starting your wedding planning, this is the easiest decision you will make and you won't regret it. Thank you Michael!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael is Amazing look no further you found your guy! This was the best purchase we ever made and we would hire him again for anything photography related in a min. I like most brides searched the web for photographers not wanting to get to our destination wedding and have pooly done memories of our day. I found Michaels name quickly and lo and behold he's a gold mine! Michaels quality is more than worth the price which I might add is extremely reasonably compared to quotes we have heard other brides say they paid!!! He helped with every aspect of our day not just the photos he has a very easy going funny personality easy to connect with which is good for your pictures and he has an out of the box creativity that has really made our pictures absolutely outstanding. Now I'm am writing this review with only having received 100 photos So far the others are coming lol but if those 100 are all I ever had ....well we would be set for life! Everyone who sees the pictures says they have never seen more beatuiful wedding pictures! He's good at finding your personality and letting it pop through in the photos I could write about this guy all day!!! Hire Michael Steingard with no doubts you will get everything your looking for and more!!!!!!!!

My husband and I planned a destination wedding in Punta Cana, in about 3 months. I was scrambling to make sure that we had everything covered. I should have called Michael Steingard MUCH sooner. From the moment I spoke with him, I knew that he was the photographer for us. Not only was he professional, capable, and calm, he became an integral part (and wealth of knowledge and info) in planning our day! He made a timeline for us, and to say that everything worked out perfectly would be an understatement. His work is absolutely breathtaking. As if that weren't enough, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I cannot tell you how many people (still!) stop us to talk about our photographer and how amazing he was. Truly, choosing Michael Steingard was the best decision we made about the wedding, beside actually getting married! Hiring Michael as our wedding photographer was hands down the best decision we made for our destination wedding in Jamaica in April of 2016!

We honestly did not know what to expect for a destination wedding photographer, as we had been looking around at various photographers, but once we came across his work, we knew that he was the right choice. We had several phone calls in advance to talk about us as a couple, what we liked, what we didn't like, what we envisioned for our day etc. After those calls we felt very confident we had made the right decision.

Once he arrived at our resort, he was very friendly with us and all of our guests and was a huge help in planning for how the day and scheduling was going to work. You could tell that he had been through this many times, and knew how things were going to go down. Without his guidance I’m not sure how things would have panned out to be honest!

You can truly tell he has a gift, as he sees things that to the common eye, you would never notice, until he captures it on camera. He was always looking around for various lighting or features that he thought would look good, and then they come out incredible, and that’s before any of the editing.

Michael puts no limit to his artistic ability. He stayed with us until he was satisfied with the shots he had. It meant a lot to us that he didn't put a time limit on us in order to ensure that he had the best pictures. Being in front of the camera is not easy for everyone, but it was smooth sailing with Micheal. He took time to know us as a couple and all of our guests - he wasn't just our photographer, we felt he was another one of our people!

Having Michael photograph my wedding was by far the best and easiest decision i made! Every time i see my photos i know that even in years to come i will feel like its my wedding day all over again, he captured such genuine and pure moments.He was on top of everything and never missed a moment even being by himself! We would like to say a big thank you to Michael for making our day memorable. You did more than we expected!!! By looking at the pictures, we can totally feel like we are enjoying that moment again and this is an amazing feeling! You are such a good photographer! Organized, Professional but friendly at the same time, helped us getting the most amazing pictures, creative and made sure every single details were in the pictures!

With a lot of research and asking friends we found Michael! It's really challenging to find a good photographer on the internet. At first, the only things you can base yourself on are the reviews and the pictures on their website... But we can tell you that it was a "hit" with Micheal. He also took care of arranging a taxi for us to go to the cave for our trash the dress session which turned out an unforgettable moment. Because he always take the same taxi driver for many years, we felt really safe leaving the resort! When you work with Micheal, you don't only work with a photographer, you work with a friend, with a buddy!!!

We are so proud and happy that we found a photographer like you! We would totally start that experience all over again. You will not regret hiring Michael Steingard! Such an amazing guy!

Choosing Michael Steingard Photography was one of the best decisions I made during my wedding planning. I stumbled across his work while doing research on my wedding resort in Punta Cana. His photographs captivated me and I knew immediately I wanted to hire him for my wedding.

From start to finish, Michael was incredible. Completely flawless. He is clearly an artist passionate about his work and it shows, not only in his photography, but also in his winning personality. On the day of the wedding he took time to get to know everyone in my bridal party and they all loved him (one of my bridesmaids asked about hiring him for her wedding, but unfortunately she is getting married in the US). All of my guests kept coming up to me throughout the day to comment how awesome my photographer was. Michael is so creative and diligent; he guided us through the day and helped create memories that I would have never even considered. It was the best investment I made. It’s true, when you return from your magical wedding vacation and everything returns to business as usual the memories of the day can slowly start to fade. Thanks to Michael, that won’t happen to me because he captured every special moment with extraordinary perfection. I literally look at my photos every day and it takes me right back.

At first I didn’t think I could afford an outside photographer, but Michael worked with me to put a package in place that fit within the confines of my budget. Knowing what I know now – the value of beautiful wedding photographs – I would have invested more and hired Michael for a longer period of time.

I would recommend Michael Steingard Photography to any Bride and Groom planning a destination wedding in Punta Cana. After all, you are choosing the best location so why not choose the BEST photographer!

We had the absolute privilege of having Kailyn and Michael photograph our wedding reception. My family as well as guests commented repeatedly how impressed they were with their professionalism and how great they were with working the crowd and interacting our guests and family.
An additional highlight was getting the Moving Picture. Every time I watch the video, it brings the whole day to life once again and I feel like I'm reliving the moments they captured. Both Kailyn and Michael are phenomenal photographers and I haven't heard of one person ever being disappointed in their pictures (I've actually only ever heard raving from pleased clients who are my friends).
I am so thrilled with all of the still pictures that we will use to decorate our home, but I will treasure the Moving Picture above all because it captures the emotion and essence of the day.
I would highly recommend Michael Steingard Photography and can genuinely say, you will not be disappointed in any way!!
I'm looking forward to the future life events I may be able to have Kailyn and Michael capture through their lens!

Michael was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was the photographer for our wedding in Punta Cana, DR, this past December (2015). He was simply fantastic as a photographer. As a bride, I was extra nervous for the pictures to come out well, since I generally hate the way I come out in photos. He managed to present us with about 100 pictures that he shot of us getting ready, our first look, and the ceremony, during the reception after-party. During the dinner, he was busy editing. His photos are beautiful; they somehow captured every emotion the guests and we had, and the fragility and sheer happiness that is a wedding. Michael pays remarkable attention to detail, knows creative and flattering poses (ladies, this is SUPER important!), and is a magician when it comes to using any available light and setting to his (and our) advantage. He is also a pleasure to work with. Over 3 days, Michael became not just our photographer, but our friend, and we genuinely miss him til this day. My husband (himself a photographer) and I could not be happier with our choice of Michael. We genuinely hope to work with him again!

My husband and I hired Michael and Kailyn to do the photography for our destination wedding in Cuba as well as a trash the dress session, we could not be happier with that decision. The level of professionalism and the quality of their work is amazing. They got every shot I could think of and more, the pictures we have from those days will be what we look back on years from now and we wouldn't change a thing. Michael and Kailyn Steingard are the epitome of photography perfection. They created the most beautiful story of our wedding day with many memories that we had forgotten (the day goes by so quickly!) and moments we didn't see. I am so grateful that they were there to celebrate with us.

I started following Michael's work a few years ago and was constantly struck by the stunning images he created. As soon as we were engaged we knew exactly who our photographer would be. His wife Kailyn was a wonderful addition to Michael's business. She has a style all of her own that compliments Michael's, and together, they create something so special!

They both were a delight to work with! They were very responsive and got our pictures back to us in a reasonable amount of time. They captured every picture I asked them to and many more. It's hard to compete with these destination weddings that Michael and Kailyn are famous for, but they managed to make our estate wedding in Ayr, Ontario look like a spread in a magazine!

I first met Michael when he photographed my brothers wedding in the Dominican. I was very impressed with his professionalism, and breathtaking photos. Michael really takes his time to get to know his subjects and very much becomes a part of the wedding.

When it came time to plan our wedding, there was no doubt who the photographer had to be!! We hired Michael and his lovely wife Kailyn to come to Alberta and shoot their first mountain wedding!

Michael and Kailyn whir around, almost unnoticed, in the background, obtaining candid shots that really capture the spirit of the celebration. Nothing feels staged or forced.

The results are breathtaking!! People rave about our photos, and I truly think they are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen!!

I had Kailyn and Michael photograph my engagement shoot and then my wedding at Fox Harb'r. I simply cannot rave enough about them - their quality is beyond anything I've seen and I am over the moon about my wedding photos. If I was getting married again and again, I would choose them every single time. From the expressions they captured to key moments, I simply have the most fantastic photos - and better than I could have ever dreamed of.
