The best part about Main Event is that they're a package deal which made planning so much easier. In the same appointment, I was able to meet with both Bob and Michelle to discuss music, photography, videography, and anything else I had in mind for the big day. Bob was our DJ and right from the start, I knew he was a godsend. My mom has very old fashioned taste in music and went in there with a very specific idea of what she wanted while my fiance and I were on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Bob was able to find a happy medium where we both felt like we were getting what we wanted without compromising. Additionally, his style of DJing is great because he'll mix one song into another so before you get bored of something he's on to the next! People didn't leave the dance floor all night and said it was the funnest wedding they had been to. Michelle (and her assistant photog) were equally amazing to work with. She immediately picked up on what kind of personalities we had and threw out ideas for shoot locations, poses, etc. On the day of, Michelle stuck with the girls for the "getting ready" stuff while her assistant went with the boys and let me tell you - she is not for the faint of heart. If you're a bold risk-taker looking to get fun, interesting shots then Michelle is the woman for you! Of course, we did a lot of the classic stuff that parents would like but when we were alone she was a treasure trove of unique ideas. At one point when I wanted to sit on the reception desk at our hotel, she got on all fours and let me STEP ON HER BACK to hop up on the desk so I wouldn't snag my dress on anything. Seriously - who does that?! Afterwards my bridesmaids said that every other wedding they'd been in had felt like work whereas this felt FUN; she honestly made us feel like we were shooting the cover of Vogue. I'm not very photogenic but Michelle gave great direction and somehow made me look like the best version of myself. Bob and Michelle are the total package and I couldn't recommend them enough! -
Ken Sent on 08/19/2018Due to unforeseen circumstances we found ourself with out a DJ, just one week before the ceremony.
Bobby preformed the DJ services at our wedding on 8/18/2018, on an unbelievable one weeks notice!
Not only did he get back to us immediately when we reached out to him, but he was also wonderful at claming our fears, and letting us know everything was going to ok!
To top it off, he blew the doors of the dance floor come the night of the wedding!
Every guest we talked to said he was was the best DJ they had ever seen at a wedding. we couldn't agree more!!!
He did an outstanding job getting everyone on the dance floor, and making it fun for everyone.
It was truly a night to remember, and was so, primarily due to his talent, and professionalism!
If your looking for an incredible wedding experience, for both you and your guests, stop what your doing right now and call this man!!!! Like right now!
He will work with you to create what ever it is that you would like your wedding day to be!
We truly cannot thank him enough for not only saving our wedding day, but also making it what many of our guests called, "one of the best and most fun weddings they had ever been too"!
We will be booking him for any special events we have for a long time to come!

Bob is the best DJ! You can tell he really passionate about his job.
Initially we spoke on the phone then met in-person. Bob really took his time with us in our in-person consultation. His office space is really cool. He listened to us, gave us suggestions & played videos for us.
Main Event uses a very organized online system where all your forms, payments & requests are written.
We had so much fun at the wedding! The music & uplighting in the Aldrich Mansion was amazing.
Everyone complimented on how great Bob, the DJ was!
He even helped us right before our first dance in the bridal suite as my husband was terrified of stepping on my dress!
I highly recommend Bob to DJ at your wedding or any big party function! -
User2406431 Sent on 11/02/2015Bob was absolutely perfect! We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. He truly made our night exactly what we wanted. From the beginning, Bob was super easy to work with. We were planning our wedding from another state, and he was so flexible about doing as much as possible with us over the phone. He answered all of our questions and made some great recommendations. We told him that we wanted the reception to have a fun vibe and for everyone to be out on the dance floor the entire time. He promised that he would make that happen, and he more than delivered. The dance floor was packed the entire night, he played the perfect selection of music that appealed to our friends as well as to our older family. As an emcee, he was great too! He made sure he knew how to pronounce everyone's name and kept the flow of our night running perfectly. Our friends and family are still talking about how much fun they had and how great the music was! I would highly recommend Bob and the Main Event! -

My husband, Chris and I were married on May 2nd, 2015 at the Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln and I have to say it was everything I had envisioned my wedding day to be. When we first met Bob at his studio in Smithfield, I could tell he was extremely knowledgeable and very experienced around all aspects of music, lightening, and the wedding scene itself. It really helped to put my mind at ease because it was clear he knew what he was doing and his overall energy and excitement made me even more excited for the day to come. He took the time to talk with us and get an understanding of what we liked so I knew from our first visit that we were going with Bob. On the day of the wedding it was just amazing when we first walked into the room. The room was absolutely breathtaking. The lightening was phenomenal and it looked like something out of a fairy tale. My husband Chris who is never speechless was amazed and blown away. The reception was amazing from the dancing and music to the lightening all blending into a wonderful evening that we will never forget. People and guests continued to call us and my parents weeks after to say what a wonderful and beautiful wedding it was. I couldn’t be happier and can’t thank Bob and Main Event Weddings enough for making our wedding so special and absolutely beautiful.Main Event Weddings's reply:

User1886101 Sent on 10/26/2014We used Main Events for DJ, photography, and Videography for our October wedding. All of the services were outstanding! The DJ (Bob) kept everyone up on the dance floor the whole night... our guests are still talking about how much fun they had. The Photo Booth was a hit with the wedding guests and we have a copy of all of the photos and video messages. The photographers (Michelle and Adam) were amazing... Same Day Photography was a wonderful way to end the night, seeing a slideshow of our wedding day photos at the end of the reception. Michelle went above and beyond her role as a photographer, helping me with my hair and dress to make sure we had the perfect pictures for our day. I would recommend Main Events to anyone who is looking in the RI/CT area (they traveled to CT for my wedding). We could not have asked for a better experience!

User1472092 Sent on 12/13/2013We used main event weddings for photography, dj, lighting, videography, and photo booth. We had such a wonderful experience with them we can't say enough great things! From day one bob and Michelle treated us like family, they came all the way to NJ for our engagement shoot, sat through countless retakes of our video love story, and went above and beyond the day of our wedding. They have amazingly creative ideas and a wonderful staff of people that they work with. Our day went off without a hitch and we couldn't be happier with the end result, our guests danced all night, the photo booth was a huge hit, the up lighting looked great, and so far what we've seen of the video and photos is phenomenal, we can't wait to see them all! They're a very talented group and we are so thankful we chose them for our big day. Thank you guys so much! Xoxo

Renee was quick with getting people's photos taken and moving right along so we could get to our reception even with quite a large bridal party. When we got the pictures back I was pleasantly surprised at how great they were edited and what a large selection received! She is very friendly too and down to earth so it wasn't strictly professional, but she knew how to have fun as well! Thanks Renee, Michelle and Bobby!

Colleen Sent on 01/02/2012We used Michelle as our photographer and Bobby as our DJ - and could not be ANY happier with that decision!! Talk about a Dream Team! As soon as we had our initial meeting with them, we knew they needed to be involved in our special day - they were so fun and passionate about their work and we knew they would bring that energy to our wedding. Main Event made it easy for us to tailor the music and images to our taste, through their website as well as a follow-up meeting - we went into that day at complete ease, knowing that our music and photos would turn out amazing. We were never more right! Michelle was a blast to hang out with through the day and even turned into an emergency hair stylist for me when the wind pulled my veil out! We were blown away when we saw all of the images she captured - she brought every memory we had to life and now we get to relive them always. All of our guests are STILL raving at how amazing our DJ was, the floor was packed all night. DJ Bobby also played the music for our ceremony and went above and beyond by adding some staging and lighting to the space to give it a more romantic feel - we had never even thought to do that and I was blown away when I walked through the door to say I Do. The uplighting throughout our entire ceremony was amazing too - looking back through the photos now it just looks like a kaleidoscope of colors across the images! I can not stress enough how much I would recommend Main Event to any bride and groom!! You will not be disappointed!!
