  Amazing amazing amazing

  Wowww ! Where do I even begin ?! Julie is absolutely amazing. Her work is unbelievable and you can see how much she truly loves what she does. My husband and I used Julie for our engagement photos and she seriously went above and beyond. I was extremely self conscious about certain angles and she made sure that every picture was perfect. Julie not only takes amazing photos but she is such a wonderful person as well. She is so kind, funny and truly just makes these “awkward” wedding poses so comfortable. She had Justin and I cracking up the whole time. We also hired Julie for our wedding photos. Our original plan was to get married June 7th,2020 at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills, however unfortunately with the current Covid situation we had to postpone the big day. We kept going back and forth on what we should do and ultimately decided to keep our original date. June is a special month to us and we figured if we can still share our love and tie the knot ( even on a much smaller scale ) that was the most important thing to us. We had a small intimate wedding in my dads backyard with immediate family. I contacted Julie a few weeks before the wedding and asked if she would still be available for June 7th to capture our day. Without hesitation she was there and was so excited to help make our day that more special. I feel like over the past few months that I have communicated with Julie, it’s like we’ve known each other for years. She just goes over and beyond with her work it’s so unbelievable. Not to mention she also deals with me being a pain in the butt nagging her haha! Julie also takes into account what’s important to each individual couple. I told her how much our baby Siberian Husky means to us and that I really wanted a nice picture of the 3 of us. She literally got a picture picture on the first shot ( which if anyone knows our Luna, she does not sit still) so this was just amazing to Justin and I. Aside from her great talent and outgoing personality, Julie is a fantastic communicator and responds almost immediately. She was there to answer any and all questions! We feel so lucky to have had Julie as our photographer and we can not wait for her to capture our “big day” in December when we celebrate our love with all our family and friends who could not be with us on June, 7th. We will 100% being using her for any and all future events/photo shoots. We highly recommend Jewel photo to everyone! You will not be disappointed, I promise !!

  The most stunning wedding photos I have ever seen!

  Julie was amazing!!! Not only did she take pictures that were more amazing then I could have ever imagined but she also kept us on schedule for the day. she made it so I had no stress about things needing to be done at certain times. I got my photos so quickly and her sneak peak was so great! It rained on my day and our pictures were so creative and unique!

  Amazing photographer and so fun to work with!

  We loved Julie from the first time we met with her! Through the process of our engagement photos to our wedding day, Julie was so awesome and fun to work with. She is so talented, and captured the most amazing and intimate moments. We cannot thank her enough for documenting the most special day of our lives and for the beautiful pictures that we will enjoy forever! Julie is so professional, but makes you feel at ease and knows exactly how to capture your personalities. Looking through our pictures, there are moments that we weren't present for that were captured, and we also love that there are so many pictures of our guests and tables showing everyone enjoying our special night. If you are looking to book a photographer, she was one of our favorite vendors from our entire wedding and you will not be disappointed!

  Julie was absolutely wonderful to work with & is so talented! She did our photography for both our engagement pictures and our wedding day. The photographs she took are absolutely beautiful and artistic, with a rustic touch. We love them so much! Julie is such an easy person to work with and was so accommodating to our wedding day timeline. She didn't miss a single part of it and kept me laughing through all the crazy parts!! :) She posted 20 pictures the DAY AFTER our wedding. Which to me was so amazing for her to do that. The rest of the pictures came quickly later on and the slideshow she created was such a thoughtful touch. I am so glad our paths crossed at the Hartford Bridal Expo. I highly recommend her! You will not be disappointed!!

  We loved our experience with Jewel Photography! Julie’s vintage style artistry was the perfect match for my vision. She is confident with her work product and has a great personality that blended with everyone in my bridal party! We received almost 1,200 pictures from our wedding along with a DVD slide show set to music! Everything came out better than I expected and I cannot wait to use Jewel Photography again as my family grows!

  If you are reading this review to help you decide whether or not to pick Julie as your photographer-let me be honest with you, PICK HER NOW! You will not find a more talented, down to earth, motivated, caring photographer. You will find out that her talent is way above the price that she charges. Your photos will be beautiful and she will make your wedding day an incredible experience. I have been recommended to use her as my photographer by two friends and have also had her as a photographer in a wedding as a bridesmaid before choosing her as my wedding photographer. If my review doesn't speak volumes itself, the amount of people that would recommend her that I know besides myself should. I found out on my wedding day that it's true what they say, your photographer is with you the majority of your wedding, so make it a good pick. She was the perfect fit. She was a resource for us throughout planning our wedding, which let's be honest can be tough sometimes. She helped relax us and make us laugh on our wedding day, a priceless gift. The photos I have seen so far are beautiful, so talented, the right angle to make you look flattering, and the right angle that only a talented photographer could see to make the photo look so beautiful and artistic. I am so excited and sure the rest of the photos will turn out wonderful. She comes with my highest recommendation or I wouldn't be posting this or telling all of my newly engaged friends to use her.

  Julie was absolutely WONDERFUL! She traveled out of state to Rhode Island to my wedding this summer in Narragansett. She is extremely easy to work with and does a great job managing large wedding parties. She kept everything moving very smoothly and kept us on schedule. I gave her minimal guidance for what I wanted and let her pick which locations would be good for photos - and she just did just that! Julie was able to immediately identify where she could get the best pictures. The pictures came out beautifully and I could only say great things about her!

  I am SO HAPPY that I chose Jewel Photo to photograph my engagement session and my wedding. She traveled to Brazil to shoot my wedding, and she did a PHENOMENAL job. The pictures are GORGEOUS.

  I loved working with Julie! She has such a sweet demeanor and from the very beginning was very professional and responsive to all of my questions and requests. The day of the wedding she arrived on time with a smile on her face and just made me feel comfortable and at ease which is exactly what a bride needs on her wedding day! I don't have the words to express how talented she is. The pictures she took on my wedding day far surpassed my expectations and she really captured my day perfectly. I am so glad I hired Julie and would highly recommend her to anyone!

I searched websites after websites trying to look for a photographer that caught my eye. When I found Jewel Photo I thought Julie's photos were the perfect mix of vintage elegance that fits my style perfectly. From the start Julie blew me away with her professionalism and knowledge. She always had the best suggestions and was more than willing to put up with my crazy ideas :) Working with Julie was one of the easiest parts of my whole wedding process. She was always so easy to reach and got back to me right away every time I bugged her with a question, idea, or a change I needed to make. She took the time to get to know my style and really listened to what was important to me. My photos came out incredible for both my save the dates and the wedding. I would highly recommend Julie for your wedding/special event photographer!!

  We had the privilage of working with Julie for our wedding. She has been amazing throughout the entire process. Her bright and shining personality really does carry through her work.
  For our engagement photo shoot we really were lucky to have Julie take pictures in two locations. It really allowed us to have a variety of pictures. We loved the pictures so much that we made a guest signature book with them, as well as putting her pictures throughout our wedding venue and my shower.
  For our wedding she went above and beyond. She was flexible with us and was able to be with us for a long day! She took her time and made sure that we had plenty of shots to choose from. She also had a "photo" booth for our guests during cocktail hour. It add a sense of fun and helped the party get started right! I am so greatful for all her hard work. She was a true pleasure to work with. Anyone would be extremely happy with Jewel Photo.

  We had the privilage of working with Julie for our wedding. She has been amazing throughout the entire process. Her bright and shining personality really does carry through her work.
  For our engagement photo shoot we really were lucky to have Julie take pictures in two locations. It really allowed us to have a variety of pictures.   I had a really hard time finding a photographer that was afordable and that I felt comfortable for my wedding this past June. A friend of my mother's told us about Julie and Jewel Photography, and after reviewing her work on her web site, we went down and met with her. I didn't have to look any further after meeting her. She was very down to earth and outgoing, and of course her work was beautiful. Her prices were probably the best that I had seen, and I had seen many before meeting with her. One thing that was important to us was that she does not copyright your photos, and you are free to do what you wish with the CDs of them that she gives you.
  The day of the wedding Julie was at my parents' house even before I was, getting shots of my dress and the delivered flowers. It ended up raining, which we did not have a back up plan for because even as it was raining the weather report said clear skys that day. Right away she came up with a place to go, and the photos came out great. She got right down in the puddles to get the shot she was looking for. We have gotten a ton of compliments on our pictures, and are very glad we went with Julie and Jewel Photography. I have passed her info along to a few friends of mine, and even to a couple complete strangers! Will definetly be using her again when some babies arrive!!

  Julie has done an amazing job photographing every milestone for my husband and I for the last few years.   Julie of Jewel Photography was incredible to work with. She was a very calming presence for the day of, and helped us relax quickly. The pictures she took are AMAZING and something we will treasure forever. A great mix of formal portraits, unique set ups of my husband and I (hard to make these look interesting after a while but she used great angles, poses, and scenery to make these works of art), and documentary like style of photographing our guests. She made us an awesome slideshow of some of the best shots to our first dance song, and also gave us a thumb drive with over 1000 images. I would recommend Julie to anyone looking for a great wedding photographer. You will not be disappointed.
