Elyse is without a doubt the best photographer in the game. My Husband and I had the pleasure of working with her for our engagement photos, mini covid wedding and large reception this past weekend. Elyse is always extremely responsive, personable and makes you feel extremely comfortable (even when your SO and you are incapable of following instructions!). If you're looking for a photographer to take amazing photos but also strive to bring all of your dreams to life, Elyse is your gal. -

As a bride I wanted two things in a photographer:
1. I wanted someone whose work was so kick butt that I could trust them completely.
2. I wanted someone who was willing to take charge to make sure I got the photos I wanted on the day of.
Elyse fits the bill on both accounts. She is incredibly talented and takes the most magical photos I’ve ever seen. She will also whip your wedding party, friends, and family into shape all while keeping a beaming smile on her face.
Elyse loves and protects the couples she photographs fiercely. She made sure that we got every shot we wanted. She did a great job of coaching us on how to pose. She also did a great job moving us along to ensure we got everything done, while also not making us feel rushed.
Elyse is a firecracker with a heart of gold. I couldn’t imagine a better person to capture our day.

I'm writing this review before I've even seen our wedding photos because I am *that* certain that the final product will be perfect and exceed all of my expectations. I often find myself scrolling past one of Elyse's photos on my feed and thinking how beautiful they are, and then I have to remind myself that SHE shot our wedding and that our photos will look like that, too! I then let out a big sigh of relief which is followed quickly by checking my calendar to see how much longer I have until I get to see the final product. I'm just that excited.
From the first phone call my husband and I had with Elyse before we even hired her, it was obvious that she has a passion for photography and cares deeply about creating the perfect product for her couples. And it wasn't just us asking the questions - she was armed with a plethora of detailed questions to make sure that she was the right fit for us, too.
Elyse's never-ending energy and enthusiasm made taking photos the day of the wedding a joy. You spend a lot of time with your photographer throughout the process, so it's important that you are comfortable with them. Elyse was never short on tips and adjustments for us, but they were always presented in a way that made us laugh and relax and settle in. Elyse can also move through those tedious big group family photos with the efficiency of a Marine Drill Sargent, but she does so in a way that still leaves everyone commenting on how funny and nice she is. Magic, I tell ya.
Overall, if you're looking for a photographer who will care about and shoot your wedding as if it's her own, all while smiling and having a good time, look no further than Elyse Hall. You won't regret it! -

I cannot say enough good things about Elyse and her team. I have to admit, I was on the fence and very unsure about choosing a photographer. It was one of my toughest wedding decisions. I found myself overwhelmed with the choice and dragged my feet on making the decision. Elyse was the higher end of my budget and I was very nervous about spending in general at that time (this came around the high point of wedding sticker shock for me I would say). That said, I had followed Elyse on Instagram for years and loved her work. Elyse is truly an artist. She is 100% worth her price point. Not only are her photographs stunning but she is so incredibly likable! I knew from the first time we met I loved her personality, and so did my husband! He was pretty neutral about posing for photos as I think many guys can be. He was not what I would call "excited" for our engagement photos. However, once he met Elyse I could tell he was at ease, and we had so much fun! When he got in the car after our engagement photos he was completely blown away by her and how much he enjoyed that time and working with Elyse. Our engagement photos are a desert dream and I have gotten so many compliments on them. They are just stunning! After those he was very excited for our wedding photos and to work with Elyse again.
Now, for our wedding day! We were running behind with hair and make-up so arrived at our venue a bit behind schedule. Right when we got there I was to get in my dress and start those photos to make up for some lost time. Long story short, the zipper on my dress was broken. I had gotten it cleaned and pressed (I had to transport it on an airplane for our wedding) and they had broken the zipper. This was not noticed until the moment I was supposed to get in the dress. Instead of waiting on the sidelines and letting my planner and our venue coordinator handle it, Elyse and her second shooter, Rachel, were right in there helping. The whole ordeal ended up taking about 45 minutes - and the problem was solved by RACHEL SEWING ME INTO THE DRESS WHILE ELYSE HELD IT IN PLACE. Yes, you read that correctly, My photographer and second shooter got me into my broken dress on my wedding day. Elyse and Rachel saved my dress and my sanity on my day! This snafu obviously put us behind on our already crunched timeline, but Elyse wasted no time getting right into photos. She was organized and assertive and everything I needed at the time to keep the day flowing. I cannot wait to see my photos from that day, but I know I did not need to wait for them to review Elyse because her work is stunning. The way she captures emotion, the desert, and natural light is a dream. But on top of her skills, it is her personality and character that sets her apart. If you want a photographer who takes gorgeous shots, has an incredibly fun and sweet yet assertive personality, and who honestly cares a lot about you and your day and making things happen, then look no further! Our day would not have been the same without Elyse, and I can't believe I ever found this to be such a hard decision! I would 10/10 recommend her. If she is available on your wedding date consider yourself a lucky duck and book her! -

The wedding went by in a flash - but it was captured perfectly and beautifully by Elyse. She is so warm and calming - it was as if an old friend was there to hang out - not a stranger -which helped us feel more natural and at ease. The photos we got back were beyond expectation and I love them all. It is as if we get to relive the day through photos which is what you want. She captured our feelings, and our joy, and even moments we may have otherwise missed - not just the standard wedding poses (which she can do too I'm sure and make them spectacular) . We LOVE her and her talent! -

Not only does Elyse have a mastery of her craft and impeccable eye, but she truly is a joy to work with. She was a true member of our creative wedding team from day one and offered her input every step along the way to bring our vision to life. We feel so lucky to have worked with her and proud that her photos of us were featured twice in the New York Times. Every time I see them, I pinch myself. Editorial yet authentic, she is the real deal and a friend for life. -

I stumbled on Elyse’s photos when reviewing photographers in the most obvious place to find gorgeous photos - Instagram! If you aren’t into long reviews then I’ll cut right to it… Elyse is the absolute best photographer you could ask for and if you’re lucky enough that she is free on your wedding date do not even hesitate locking her down!
Elyse is very honest, caring, friendly, and passionate about the photography she produces. Her style and the mood her photos exuded were exactly what I was looking for in both my engagement photos and wedding photos; her photos were bright, but still captured warmth and romance in a way that makes you feel the love in the people she photographs. I knew before I had any ideas about anything else for my wedding that I wanted Elyse to be our photographer.
Every interaction with Elyse was professional yet personable. She truly spends time getting to know who you are as a couple to the point that at the end of our engagement shoot I felt I had known her for years! She knows how to make the most camera shy person feel comfortable so that every pose and shot feel genuine.
You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day so they need to do more than just take great photos, they become part of your memories and are there for your laughs, your tears and your special moments - that is why you want Elyse. I, without any hesitation, highly recommend Elyse Hall Photography. We will truly treasure our wedding photos for the rest of our lives and we cannot thank her enough.

From the day I met Elyse, I knew she was going to be incredible. Elyse is incredibly warm, funny, supportive and a badass at what she does. I was nervous about the engagement shoot, being the center of attention and posing in front of someone we had only just met. That disappeared within 5 minutes. We immediately felt at ease with her, and she's amazing at directing/guiding you into poses. And we haven't even talked about her finished product yet! Oh boy... her photography is breathtaking. We received so many compliments and I don't even know how I'm going to choose which ones to frame, post, etc. I have already started racking my brain on what we can do next just to work with her again. It truly felt like having your friend by your side on your wedding day!! -

The Best in the Biz!
My wife & I were lucky enough to have Elyse do our engagement photos as well as our wedding and we couldn't have been more pleased. She made us feel so comfortable and we had so much fun. Not only is she an awesome person, but her photography skills are off the charts! She really is the perfect package and would totally recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. As my title states, Elyse really is the best in the biz! -

You may think this might be aggressive but I can't say enough about Elyse Hall and her team. Before I was even proposed to, I would scroll through Elyse Hall's Instagram, ogling at her perfect editorial photos and gawking at them. Hoping one day that I would be able to have a photo like that. Her photos are ART, perfectly crafted bending the light and wind to capture that exact angle to express on film. Not only are her photos of excellence, she was so kind, professional and absolutely focused. She got every shot I asked for and more! She went above and beyond. The photographer is fundamental to a memorable wedding, so choosing Elyse was the best decision I made. Looking at these precious photos forever is absolutely priceless. On my wedding the weather was not favorable but getting the photos back melted all the stress and anxiety that I had on the wedding day about the weather. So when you are looking for your photographer and you want the best, you should call Elyse. -

The moment I saw Elyse Hall Photography’s work, I became mesmerized at how effortless and natural every single one of the photographs were. Elyse checked every single box and I knew I had to have her as my wedding photographer. I was OBSESSED with just how dreamy her work was. She made the entire experience SO special and memorable. We honestly had so much fun with her! I wanted so many things and she was able to give me everything I imagined and so much more. Her attention to detail is just incredible, it takes my breath away. She captures the most whimsical and gorgeous photographs and moments through film AND digital, which is why her work is so exceptional. I wish I could do more than this review to recommend her. There is not anyone out there that comes close to comparing to the work Elyse and her team produces. JUST LOOK AT THESE PICTURES!! Elyse is the absolute best! She's an insanely talented photographer and on top of that she's so sweet, funny and a blast to be around. You will absolutely want to be her friend in real life in the end! Elyse made us feel so comfortable during our engagement and wedding photos. One word- OBSESSED! I love Eylse, not only for her amazing personality but LOVE her attention to detail. Coming from an OCD person photography was SO important to me. She uses both digital and film so that she can make the pictures PERFECT- and they are beyond perfection. Our wedding pictures are so dreamy, lighting is unreal, crisp, clean, and beyond what we imagined.
Her assistant that day was amazing too and made my husband feel so comfortable- he's not so thrilled being in front of a camera.

Amazing photographer, in love with our photos
Elyse was amazing to work with. My husband and I are not used to be in front of the camera, but Elyse made it very easy and natural and we came out with amazing photos. We started with engagement photos which helped us figure out which scenes and poses we liked the best and helped the wedding day photos all turn out perfect. Elyse was also great at managing all the family photos the day of the wedding, which can get overwhelming quickly. Can’t wait to work with Elyse again! -
