We had the absolute honor of working with Gillian, and she is truly the most insanely talented photographer. From the very beginning, she took such great care to listen to us, understand our vision, and make sure we felt at ease every step of the way. We wanted a hands-off, documentary/editorial approach, and she blended everything into the perfect mix of exactly what we hoped for. On our wedding day, she brought the most fun, uplifting spirit—our entire bridal party adored her! She followed our shot lists perfectly while still capturing so many candid, magical moments we didn’t even know we wanted. Her film photos are absolutely stunning, and she made our photo dreams come true.

We also did an engagement shoot with Gillian, which was just as incredible—the photos were beautiful, and it was truly a pleasure getting to know her before the wedding. On the big day, she was by my side from start to finish, and having such wonderful rapport with her made the experience all the more special. We truly couldn’t have picked a better wedding photographer than Gillian Rea. If you’re a couple who loves to laugh, keep things fun, and wants candid photos that actually feel like real life, she’s the one. She captured the day so naturally with a documentary approach, but still delivered gorgeous, editorial-style images we’ll hold onto forever. Leading up to the wedding, she was incredibly thoughtful and helped us talk through what we wanted so we felt totally aligned and comfortable going into the day.

The candid photos ended up being our favorites by far. There were so many little, unexpected moments sprinkled throughout the gallery that we didn’t even realize were happening at the time, and it made looking through our photos such an emotional (and joyful) experience. One of my all-time favorite images is of my dad and me dancing near the end of the night, a moment I didn’t know was being captured but am so grateful it was.

She also chose to stay an extra hour, which she absolutely didn’t have to do, and we’re beyond thankful for that. By the end of the night, our whole family couldn’t stop talking about how great she was. We even had guests come up during the reception to tell us how funny and kind she was with everyone. Gillian made people feel comfortable and at ease, and it really shows in every photo. We’re so grateful we had her and would recommend her to any couple looking for a wedding photographer who truly captures the feeling of the day.

It has been 9 months since our wedding and just yesterday I found myself looking through our photo gallery for the millionth time. Gillian takes photos that you'll love forever. She asked us a lot of questions about what we wanted from and editing perspective and absolutely nailed the vision we were hoping for. Delivery was quick and we received 40+ photos within 24 hours for our first look -- way more than we expected.

As wonderful as the photos themselves are, the magic Gillian brings truly shines through on the wedding day. I don't think many couples realize just how much the photographer does to move the day along. Even with an on-site coordinator, Gillian and her second shooter helped us stay on schedule while keeping things light and stress-free. But her magic didn't end with us; the way she incorporated our family and friends into her photo experience was top-notch. At one point, she was at our family table, getting my husband's great aunt up and dancing, and the family still talks about her kindness to this day.

Everyone loved her. She was the perfect balance of a go-to person if people had questions or needed support, while still being able to sneakily capture those candid shots that tell a story. We can't recommend her enough!

Gillian made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She has such a creative eye and was happy to go speed walk down a dirt trail with us to catch the perfect lighting and location. The way she captured the light, all the details, and warm colors in the photos truly went above and beyond our expectations. My wife and I had an incredible experience with Gillian. She captured both our engagement session as well as our wedding. If I can give a future bride some advice, it's trust your gut!! It was 100% worth spending the extra bit to get the custom work. Our entire experience working with Gillian was so impressive, start to finish. She worked with us to figure out our timeline, and made sure every point revolved around things that were important to us. Feeling "beautiful" and timeless was a huge deal to me, and she put in so much time and work to making sure those things hit!! She went over and beyond at every opportunity- and when photos were a week late (totally no issue, still such a short turnaround!!) she offered to send us a coffee table book with our favorite photos, for free. Absolutely not necessary but says a lot about how much she cares for her couples. We will be calling her for every event from now on.

Gillian was by far the greatest photographer we have worked with period. From the moment the process began, she was well aware of our needs. Walked us through the entire process, asked what we wanted and how we feel and if we were not sure of something there was not push back or trying to convince us. If you look at her previous shoots, every one of her shots is catered to the couples, the location, and style. We fell in love with every photo she produced.
