I am so glad to have found this hidden gem in Walker! The new manager, Steve, was so accommodating and flexible in helping us to plan the perfect wedding! The lodging is so beautiful and we know our guests felt very pampered staying here, as did we. The spacious banquet hall more than accommodated our needs, and we all just loved the amazing view of Leech Lake during our ceremony. I highly recommend BlueWater Lodge for any event!Sent on 06/03/2014

Our wedding at BlueWater Lodge was absolutely beautiful from start to finish. The Twin Home on the grounds is a hidden gem right on the shore of Leech Lake that provided perfect accommodations for us and some of the bridal party. The rest of our wedding party, immediate family, and some close friends were able to fill their 9 cabins. These cabins were perfect for a long weekend which sleep up to 8 and have a full kitchen. Everyone LOVED them!Sent on 08/17/2014
The spacious grounds out back of the Twin Home provided a beautiful setting for our intimate ceremony (130 guests) with a wonderful view of the lake. I was so pleased with their new white outdoor garden chairs and the custom built white birch arbor built by my dad. The groomsmen arrived by pontoon before the ceremony and were able to park both pontoons right at the Twin Home's beach. After the ceremony, the wedding party boarded the pontoons for a champagne toast and ride over to BlueWater's marina for the reception at their event center.
We rented half the event center for our reception (with the other half as a "backup" ceremony site in case of rain). There is an entire wall full of huge windows that has a beautiful view and their lighted birch trees were a great backdrop for the head table. Their dance floor was 15'x15' so I was a little concerned that wouldn't be big enough knowing how many of our guests enjoy dancing, however, it worked out just fine and our reception was a blast. Following the reception, guests that wanted to continue celebrating joined us back at the Twin Home for a bonfire on the beach.
BlueWater had everything we needed to make our day special and their staff was very accommodating with our needs. Amy was an absolute joy to work with during the entire process and Steve was so helpful coordinating details on the day. We had so many great compliments from guests on how beautiful our day was so my husband and I will definitely stay at BlueWater again for anniversaries or a weekend getaway!

Great place to have a wedding! Big or small! We had 370 and it was pretty packed...says it holds 400. The dance floor was really small for the amount of people we had and we ended up adding to the one there from a company out of Bemidji. The only thing they have for you to use is basically tables and chairs. Be prepared to bring in ALL other things you need for a wedding!Sent on 09/02/2016

Initially the company changed hands multiple times without alerting us to any contact or owner changes. This lead to many unanswered emails right away. They have a new manager, Katherine who was finally able to help us line everything up. I think if she had been there the whole time the wedding would have had far fewer hiccups. Venue is BEAUTIFUL and cared for, perfect for our lake wedding. I appreciate how everything came together and wouldn't mind renting a cabin onsite in the futureSent on 07/30/2017
