Hewing Hotel is an elegant wedding venue located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Situated in the historic North Loop neighborhood, this century-old brick and timber warehouse has been transformed into a uniquely luxurious hotel. With its exceptional service, delicious regionally inspired dining, and well-appointed rooms, the Hewing Hotel is the ideal place to host the wedding celebration of your dreams in the heart of the “Twin Cities.”
Facilities and Capacity
The Hewing Hotel can accommodate up to 176 for a seated dinner or 225 cocktail reception in our largest event space, Andrews Ballroom. Once a farm implement warehouse, the newly refined hotel features exposed timber and brick, tall ceilings, and original industrial elements combined with high-end interiors. There are several locations within the hotel where couples can host their wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The Andrews Ballroom is the perfect location for grand gatherings, featuring large windows along an original brick wall and modern amenities.
The Private Dining Room is ideal for both intimate and large celebrations, like micro weddings, rehearsal dinners or family-style receptions for under 48 guests.
Services Offered
The Hewing Hotel is a full-service wedding venue that is available for hosting engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies and receptions, and farewell brunches. The hotel offers a myriad of services to couples planning their nuptials in the Minneapolis area. Those services include hotel accommodations, event planning, in-house catering and bartending, and Wi-Fi. On your wedding day, the Hewing Hotel event team will be on hand to assist you with setup and cleanup before, during, and after your celebration. The hotel can provide audio and lighting equipment, chairs, tables, a dance floor for all events, barware, flatware, glassware, linens, and china. The Hewing Hotel is a wheelchair-accessible venue that offers valet services to couples and their guests on their special day.
Group Room Blocks
Group discount rates are based upon availability with a minimum room block of 10 contracted rooms per night. Room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes in effect at the time of check-out. Availability is not guaranteed.
Function Space Rental
Rental fees have been established based on the function space, time, and season of the event. Rental pricing is subject to change applicable fees may apply.
Food & Beverage Minimums
A food & beverage minimum is a requirement that must be met for an event to take place on a certain date at a specific time. These minimum requirements may be different by day of the week and seasonality. Minimums are based on a minimum dollar amount that must be spent on food and beverage services.
Wedding Menus
Our curated packages can be selected as-is or customized through our Special Enhancements to better serve your event. Packages are chosen at the time of contracting otherwise all pricing is subject to change.
Menu Tastings
Complimentary menu tastings are available for up to two guests. Dates will be provided approximately three months before the event date. Additional fees may apply.
Wedding Coordinator
Our on-site wedding specialist will assist you through the planning of the set-up, timeline, menu selections, and vendor coordination. While it is not required it is encouraged that all couples engage with a Wedding Planner/Day-Of Coordinator for a stress-free wedding day.
Deposit Schedule & Payment Information
Deposits are based on your contracted food and beverage minimum, rental, and room block if applicable. Upon signing your contract, a non-refundable deposit equal to 30% of your total minimum event revenue is due. The final payment will then be due up to ten (10) business days prior to your wedding. Any and all deposits received in line with a payment schedule are nonrefundable.
Outside Vendors
Please see our vendor referrals for many wonderful and talented wedding specialists and regarded vendors that will complement your event. All vendors contracted by our clients must follow the hotel’s procedures at all times. Access to access the event space occurs no earlier than four (4) hours prior to your event start time or unless otherwise specified. All vendors may be required to provide proof of adequate insurance thirty days prior to the event. The hotel is not responsible for any items brought into the hotel by outside contracted vendors.
Alcohol Policy
The Hotel Staff is the licensed authority to sell and serve liquor for consumption on the premises. State law requires persons to be a minimum of 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages. The Hotel reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to anyone. Should the age of a guest come into question, proper identification will be required.
Decorations
Decorations must be approved by hotel staff. No items may be attached to any wall, floor, ceiling, or windows with nails, staples, tape, or any other substance to prevent damage to the fixtures or furnishings. Confetti and Sparklers are not permitted. All flower petals used as aisle runners must be cleaned up by the wedding planner.

Hi There! I am a Twin Cities native born and raised in Roseville Minnesota. I graduated with a degree in Event Planning and Hospitalilty from Minneapolis Business College. I started my event planning career as soon as I graduated and pushed to learn all there was about events.
I got into the event planning business mainly for weddings, as I always says “I love the idea of love and I love to see how couples celebrate their love for one another!”.
