Above and beyond!

Amy was an absolute joy to work with. Not only did she produce the most STUNNING images that felt completely authentic to us, she has this amazing calming presence that was just invaluable to us on our wedding day. She made everyone feel comfortable and like they could be themselves, which is above and beyond what I expected from a photographer. We can't recommend her highly enough!

Amy Deputy is my hero! She made me feel wonderful as a bride & constantly made me laugh! My whole family and the entire bridal party absolutely loved her. Her assistant was also awesome! I love her!

For me, choosing a photographer was difficult! Most Baltimore-area photographers have portfolios/websites showcasing the same thing - a conventionally attractive bride and groom, in front of the water (and Domino's sign), a spiral staircase, or a barn. I couldn't tell the difference between any of them!

I was drawn to Amy's website because her photos captured real people with real emotion. In her photos, people of any age, size, or color radiate beauty in their own unique way. And she has a way of making her camera see people as they are - very genuine and with emotion.

On the day of, Amy was calm and peaceful and made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. I remember being very annoyed and tired of taking pictures, and wanting to get to my reception! But somehow Amy was able to get me to laugh and smile and enjoy being with my new husband in the moment, and this all translated to beautiful pictures. With kids, especially, she was able to make them feel comfortable so we got real pictures of them, not fake cheesy smiles.

When we got our photos, I was so distracted by them that 3 hours passed without me even realizing. They were all vibrant and captured the emotions of the day so well. Thank you Amy!

Amy Deputy is wonderful! We were thrilled with every aspect of her work. She captured our daughter's wedding exactly as we hoped she would - the quiet and candid moments as well as the formal and posed shots. She is masterful at eliciting the spirit of the day and of all the participants - with just being present and not intrusive or directing. Every time we look at her photos, they bring the day back to life with all of the day's emotions - smiles, tears, thankfulness and hearty laughter! I can't imagine a more wonderful photographer for such an intimate and important occasion! Amy has our highest endorsement and heartiest recommendation.

Amy was so great to work with and we're so happy she was our wedding photographer. The planning process was straightforward but complete, she was a pleasure to have there on the big day and the results are SO great. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough about Amy Deputy. She offered an engagement session along with the wedding session, and we used the engagement session to have pictures taken with our kids - she hiked through the woods with us to find the perfect site, and then came back to our house for more pictures. She spent an incredible amount of time with us at our wedding and was sweet and full of love and energy. And the pictures are really out of this world. Hire her!!!

Amy Deputy and her assistant were wonderful to work with for our daughter's wedding! Bride, groom, parents, grandparents--all loved her beautiful pictures, good attitude, and exceptional skills. Amy did a great job, too, at taking our group pictures--this was no easy job, as we had some large groups in limited space. Amy re-arranged the furniture, adjusted the lighting, and took pictures which we cherish. Amy also had great suggestions for our album design. We met Amy when she photographed our son's wedding a few years earlier, and it was a pleasure to work with her again this time!

Amy was really, really wonderful. I booked her one week after our engagement because I really fell in love with her "journalistic" style, her photos just seemed less forced. When I met her I really loved her energy, and she was a very calming presence on our wedding day. Amy truly has an eye for gorgeous and flattering photography, and she is able to catch moments on film that you don't even notice as they are happening. She is truly the best of the best.

From the minute I met Amy, I knew she would be able to capture the moments at our wedding that are most important: happiness, tears, love and all. She is a fantastic photographer and a wonderful person, and we felt very at ease with her. She interacted well with everyone in our families and wedding party, and was very kind, polite, and unobtrusive during the 'moments'. We loved Amy's photojournalistic style and the many wonderful candid photos she captured, but in addition to that she was able to give us encouraging direction during our portraits, which meant we never felt silly or awkward. Amy also went to great lengths to get excellent photos - even balancing on a banister during our ceremony to get the best angle!

We absolutely love the photos we received from Amy and feel incredibly lucky to have all the wonderful emotions in print(/on a disc!) to remember our wedding day. My husband and I cannot recommend Amy Deputy enough, and are very happy with our choice to have Amy photograph our wedding.

I cannot put into words how talented Amy and her team are; they captured the overall feel of our wedding and the emotions felt by all. Smiles, tears, laughter, excitement, surprise, close bonds, old friends, true happiness, and of course, love... are all there, in our pictures, for us to have forever and ever. Words cannot express how much I love my wedding photographs! Amy makes you believe in love. She is a wonderful, creative person that brings out your smile whenever you look at her. The moment I saw Amy's pictures I knew that she would be able to capture our love a unique, complete and beautiful way. I wanted Amy as our photographer so badly that she was my valentine's day present from my husband! After the wedding, I realized that Amy kept me on-time, kept me laughing, and kept everyone in line. She fit right in with our family. She was never imposing! I just felt so much warmth from her that I couldn't imagine my wedding without her. I see her now as a friend. Thanks Amy for everything! Amy was amazing. From the first time I opened her website, I knew I had to have her as my photographer on our special day. Her feel and ways when taking pictures are very inspiring. You can truely tell her love for her job. She was there every step of the way helping and go far beyond her duties. She captured moments I couldnt even have predicted and truely told our story. I would recommend her to anyone and would not of changed a thing. She made my wedding the best day ever and I will always have memories because of her and her assistant who was amazing as well.

I could not imagine a better or more talented individual to document our wedding.
Amy has a special way about her that makes everyone around her feel completely at ease.
She was so in tune with the unique moments and emotions that were a part of our day - not just with my husband and me, but with our parents, extended family and friends.
Everyone commented on how ours were some of the best wedding photos they had ever seen.

Amy Deputy is, without question, the most extraordinary wedding photographer you will find. Her photographs are jaw dropping. She is full of laughter and energy, which helps put everyone at ease, and in fact, lights them up; she is a kind, loving, supportive and joyful person. I have lost count of the number of people who have either asked me for her number for their own wedding, or family pictures, or commented to me about how incredible she is and how breathtaking my wedding pictures are. That being said, she also allows the wedding party the privacy to experience the excitement of the day, without interruption. Since she was a photojournalist, she knows how to be a witness and not interrupt the flow. I dont know what else to say to convey how deeply thankful I am that I found her. My only problem has been choosing pictures for our photo album because so many pictures are so beautiful. I should say that I am also a photographer, and consequently, am extremely picky and discriminating about images. But she far exceeded any expectations I had. Amy Deputy, and her work, is a truly a gift. Book her now, if she happens to be available.

Working with Amy was amazing. I can't tell you how many times I was told that my wedding pictures looked like they came out of a magazine. She was super nice and because she is a photojournalist, she captured special moments and made a story book of our wedding without us even knowing. She was was a little more expensive than the other venders I looked in to, but she was well worth it and I had not one regret. You definately get what you pay for when you use Amy Deputy and I would recommend her to everyone. Photography is definately something that you should not try to budget on because it serves as leaving you with the memories of the day that you can never get back. I felt like I was living in a dream on my wedding day and my pictures truly portray that.

Amy's photos are unbelievable. We knew she'd be great from looking at her work, but the photos of our wedding are more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. We are able to relive all of the moments- and emotions- of our wonderful day through her photography and that is a true gift. Amy Deputy is a dream of a photographer!

For any couple looking for someone to capture not only the obvious moments of your special day but all those intimate ones that often get lost in the excitement of the proceedings, Amy is the one you want with you at your wedding. From the shots of the wedding party getting ready for the event, to the beautiful details of the flowers, the food and my trousseau, to the joy and excitement of the guests arriving, to the emotional moments of the ceremony itself and, finally, to the joyous celebration afterward, every picture told a story.

Beyond this, not only is Amy a superb artist and technician, making each shot literally "picture perfect", but she is a dream to work with. With her upbeat manner, her professionalism and her sensitivity to your wishes, she will make sure that your photos reflect both the essence and details of what made your wedding day so wonderful. That is what she did for us. We often go back to our photos and enjoy returning to those happy memories and sharing them with friends and family.

Amy has photgraphed three weddings for my family, and yet she managed to make each one unique by truly capturing the spirit and personalities of the bride and groom. We had the most difficult time choosing which pictures to put in our album from the hundreds of proofs that Amy sent us, because they were all so amazing. The end result, though, has never failed to elicit strong responses from people who are in awe of the layout and the photos. I know that for me, the two things that I wanted to come away with on the day of my wedding were my new husband, and the pictures that Amy took.

Amy is the best, not only in the Baltimore area, but one of the best in the country. A lot of photographers will tell you they shoot a photo-journalistic style, but they don't know what that means. Amy defines this. She can nail a portrait and a planned photo like clockwork, as well, but her "captured moments" are where she shines. She is able to find the emotion in a moment through her lens. When she is styling your portraits, she is able to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera with her bubbly, fun personality. We loved Amy, and hope to have her as our photographer for future life events as we grow together as a family. She is worth every penny, and then some.
The only criticism I could possibly have for Amy is her response to emails. Every once in a while we would have to reach out to her a few times to get a response, but if we called her, she would always get back to us within a day or two.
