Where do I even start?! Getting married at Burnside Farms a couple of weeks ago was the best decision I’ve ever made. An outdoor ceremony and barn reception was even more amazing than I could have ever imagined. The entire Bruce family was so kind and helpful and just amazing to work with. It was quite evident that they take pride in their family business and do everything in their power to help make your day perfect. Mary was a pleasure to work with. She did a great job of explaining the process to us and walking us through all the steps. She was very patient and thorough in laying out all the different options available to display the flowers. When we first considered flower preservation I was a little skeptical, but looking back I am beyond pleased that we decided to do it. We really love having our flowers on display in our home and they still look as beautiful as they did on our wedding day

Hiring Mary and the Pink Poppy was such a great choice for our May 2024 wedding in Leesburg! Mary is more than just a florist - she is a true artist. I love florals but was not quite ready to spend five figures on a floral budget, as our overall budget priorities were elsewhere. Despite that, I was still hoping to thread the needle to create a floral look that appeared full, lush, and elegant while not needing an extravagant budget. Mary was the perfect fit for us to do just that. She was creative and flexible when it came to repurposing florals from the ceremony to the reception and she created various table decor designs to mix up the room and make it more visually interesting. She did a fantastic job executing on our vision and working with the rest of the vendor team on the day-of with looming inclement weather leaving the final plan in flux. I was blown away and moved to tears when I saw how perfectly everything looked set up with all of the pieces put together and how it matched how I had dreamed it would look. We received SO many compliments on how our barn venue was transformed to look so magical even for an indoor ceremony rain plan, and that was due in no small part to Mary and her team’s execution!
