Hotel Wedding Venues in San Antonio

Professional. Treated my guests well. Flexible. But the food served was okay, the beef was delicious, the chicken was dry and didn’t have much flavor. The hordourves were good, carrots were under cooked. Was expecting better food served at dinner at 132$ a person. Would still recommend but ask for food samples first.

My husband and I toured quite a few venues, but none of them seemed to be the right one for us. When we toured the Eilan, we knew it was the place for us! It is an elegant hotel with not only a beautiful interior and so many beautiful ballrooms but also a wonderful Italian style villa exterior. There are so many wonderful photo spots- the marble staircase, the outside staircase, an outside terrace, trolley tracks, and a gazebo just to name a few! Susan did a wonderful job working with us to make sure that all of our questions were answered and everything was ready for the wedding day. She also made sure that our meal choices were correct- we had an initial tasting and a follow-up tasting to make sure we liked the modifications that had been made (the food was so delicious!). On our wedding day, Susan and the staff at the Eilan made sure everything went according to plan. Both the guys and the girls got ready at the hotel in addition to having our ceremony in Sala Cristalla and our reception in Palio Hall. The ceremony and reception rooms were set up phenomenally! The staff did such a wonderful job and half a year later we are still receiving compliments on what a beautiful and wonderful wedding we had! We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Eilan!

Hotel Valencia Riverwalk is a beauty, but the real reason I wanted to write a review is their staff. They are the friendliest and most helpful people ever. Thank you especially to Elise Medina who helped us organize our wedding. It was truly the wedding of our dreams. I cannot think of anything we would have changed. It was all thanks to this staff and Elise. We upped our budget a bit once we saw this venue and we did not regret any part of it. Shout out to the chef and bar staff that kept us full and happy. This venue is worth what they charge and more.

Jessica and her team at Tapatio Springs did a fantastic job helping my daughter's dream wedding weekend come true! Jessica is wonderful and doesn't miss a detail! We had a welcome reception, rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, afterparty, and farewell breakfast all on the property and the food was great, the service even better, and the venue was perfect!

We hosted our Christmas Holiday Party here in December and it was a dream! Shimeyka, the catering Sales Manager, was absolutely amazing From the planning down to the day of the event she was absolutely fantastic to work with. We appreciate all the little touches and the fast communication to make sure our event went without a hitch. The staff is amazing, and the ballroom was perfect for our event. Thank you again to Shimeyka and staff for the attentiveness and for hosting us.

The title of this review doesn't even scratch the surface. When we first started looking, we had the Menger high on our list due to the role it played in our relationship (our first stay vacation!) and how beautiful it is. I was elated to find out how responsive, helpful, creative, and kind the team at the Menger is. They answered my (many, many) questions promptly and thoroughly. I never felt confused by the process or like I would be blindsided. They were up front about everything and willing to work with me on different ideas. The pricing is also a really strong point here, as it is well priced and well worth the cost. Leading up to the wedding, the team took care of so much and were so flexible with letting us into the rooms early to set up, and even changing some of the decorations that day because yes, they have items like charger plates and candle sticks already there! They helped with signage for the cocktails and direction plaues in the hotel, and they even made sure they had ingrediants for our signautre cocktails on hand. They made the whole experience so easy and fun and I really can't recommend them more. It's a beautiful space, with so much character, and the whole team, from the catering planning department to the servers to the bartenders to even the kind people at the front desk made it such a wonderful experience. Weddings are hard and kind of a mess to plan, but this is one decision that can be easy to make. Happy planning!

I fell in love with the Hotel Contessa 5 years before my wedding when my cousin toured it while searching for venues. When it was my turn to choose a venue, we looked at quite a few other places, but I kept coming back to the Contessa with it’s gorgeous lobby, patio, access to marriage island, view of the river, and river level reception room. We were treated wonderfully by the staff at every step of the process, even though they were going through the process of adjusting to new ownership and staff changes. I can’t even begin to express my gratitude to all the wonderful staff members who were so kind and treated us like family. Monica, Rosa, Victor, Mauricio, Joe, Luz, Elise, Patricia, Toribio, & Natalia were all so wonderful. I’m sure I’m missing some names! Setting up the hotel block was incredibly easy and flexible, and the rooms are gorgeous. Our wedding suite had a living room area with plenty of room for getting ready, and the staff delivered some champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our room after the wedding. When we got there, one of our guests needed to change rooms to be closer to us because they had a toddler with them, and the front desk was so quick and gracious with moving them into a new room. The staff worked so hard to make sure everything was exactly as I imagined it and set up the reception room and patio so beautifully. The river level reception room was the perfect size for 70 people and a DJ, and it’s so pretty on its own that we barely had to do any decorating. Because it’s a hotel right on the river, it was also a perfect hub for hanging out all weekend. Guests would use the river level lobby to hang out, get drinks and catch up, and then explore the riverwalk. It was so easy to spend more time with guests individually as they came and went through the lobby, and it made getting ready the day of so simple because we didn’t have travel between getting dressed and the ceremony. We had live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and it was an easy process to get our guitarist set up on the patio. The drinks and food were all delicious, and given how prices have been going up for so long now, it was honestly a pleasant surprise at how affordable it was compared to other venues/caterers given how fancy everything felt. We had an open bar for cocktail hour and dinner, appetizers, and a complementary vegetarian option, so we didn’t have to worry about making sure our guests had options. The staff also went out of their way to make sure we ate because you so often hear about how the bride and groom missed out on food during the wedding (shout-out to Victor and Mauricio!). Honestly, everything was so perfect, and I can’t recommend them enough! If you have the opportunity to have your wedding at The Hotel Contessa, you definitely should.
