About
About Al's Hideaway
Tucked into 20 private acres of Texas Hill Country, Al's Hideaway isn't a venue you rent for the day — it's a place your wedding gets to live in for a whole weekend. When you book the park, every inch of it is exclusively yours: 13 handcrafted log cabins where your guests stay steps from the celebration, RV sites and tent sites for the adventurous, a covered pavilion with an outdoor kitchen and stone fireplace, a swimming pool, walking trails, and skies dark enough to see the Milky Way over your first dance.
We're a family-built campground, and it shows. Gordon and Jennifer didn't just buy this land — they built it, cabin by cabin, and they live here. That means the people who care most about this place are the ones making sure your day is perfect, from the morning your families arrive to the last campfire ember the night after the wedding. Gordon is also an ordained minister, so if you'd like, the man who built your venue can be the one who marries you under its oaks.
What we're known for
No strangers at your wedding, and no goodbyes at midnight. Because your guests sleep on-site, the celebration doesn't end when the reception does — it moves to the campfire. Couples also love that we skip the things that make wedding planning miserable: no required vendor lists, no corkage fees, no "inquire for pricing" games, and yes — your dog is welcome at your own wedding. We were named Texas Campground Accommodations of the Year, and our guests consistently rate their stays 4.9 stars.
How we make each wedding special
We only host one celebration at a time, so the entire property bends around your vision — your caterer, your decorations, your music, your timeline. Whether it's a 48-guest dinner under the pavilion or an intimate ceremony beneath the live oaks, you're never sharing the day with anyone but the people you invited. You arrive as visitors. You leave as family. That's not our slogan because it sounds nice — it's what actually happens here.
