This venue gives you everything you can ask for. It is clean, professional, well organized and detailed, and gives you flexibility without sacrificing quality. Any place can be great, but the service is what sets this place over the top. Kristina, the Director of Catering, is an absolute joy to work with and provides the best attitude and attention to detail that are needed to make an even successful. While we held the ceremony at a church, the included Verdure room would have been ideal to make it an all-inclusive place for a full wedding. The venue is also very cautious and very understanding of the concerns of the current pandemic and have taken precautions to make it as safe of an environment as possible. We had a smaller wedding for the same reasoning but I fully believe this venue can handle a wedding of any size with no concern about a drop off in quality or service.

Our entire experience went very well. I highly recommend using Springwoods Village Marriott for any event. Our wedding reception was truly amazing from start to finish. It seems as though everyone enjoyed the food and the service was impeccable. We really felt as though we got a great bang for our buck. We worked with Kristin Glenn and she was an absolute pleasure to work with and was always responsive. She answered every email and always returned phone calls, but most of all she was always professional. The entire process went great!

We didn't originally want a hotel as our wedding venue, but once we saw The Sam and met with Michelle Scrimger, we were sold! The hotel has a boutique feel, and the Veranda event space is unique and beautiful. Michelle was fantastic to work with, and answered so many questions we had. Coordination with our on-site vendors was seamless, and their food and beverage options were top-notch. They worked with us to tweak a couple of things on the food and drink menus, and the day of ran extremely smoothly. Our package included the honeymoon suite adjacent to the Veranda event space, and it was perfect. We highly recommend The Sam Houston Hotel for a unique "hotel" wedding space.

My wedding photographer recommended Hotel Icon for our wedding block hotel. My fiancé and I toured here and could quickly see why. Not only are the staff so friendly, but also from the lobby to the guest rooms to my suite room everything is beautifully detailed. They surprised my husband and I with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries the night after the wedding. We loved staying here and will stay here for any hometown getaways.

We had our reception at South Shore Harbour Resort in their Crystal Ballroom. The ballroom was not over-the-top, but still elegant and comfortable. They can offer plenty of space to accommodate a large party indoors, which was important for us since we had a summer wedding. I also really liked having our reception at a nice hotel where our guests could safely enjoy themselves. The guest rooms are reasonably-priced and have awesome views of Clear Lake and the marina. While their prices for the wedding reception seemed a little high at first, after comparing what they offered with other locations in the area, they offered a really great value. The food was excellent, and we got a ton of different options on our buffet. So many of our guests commented on how it was the best hotel reception buffet they'd ever had. There were some communication issues at times, like guests being charged extra for their breakfast vouchers when they made reservations and a difficulty getting a response with some post-wedding questions. It would also have been nice if they could have facilitated more of the reception details, like helping to set out favors and other decor the day-of so I wouldn't have had to figure out who could do it and coordinate when they could get into the room to start setting up. Overall, though, Teri (our catering manager) was very helpful and patient with my and my mother's requests, even when we got to be a little frantic as the wedding got closer. We ended up with a smaller dance floor on the wedding day than we had agreed upon, but it was still a good size and that was the only real snag in the evening. Teri and Sharon (sales manager) left a gift of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries for my husband and I in our room, which was a really sweet touch. Overall, they offered a great space and we had a great time!
