As my daughter walked into The Fillmore for her wedding reception, she told a friend "this is everything I dreamed of". The venue was perfect for the size reception we were holding (200 guests) filling the main floor with tables and still left room for a dancefloor. More guest might have been crowded but we would have managed using balcony too. It was not cheap but it was worth every penny! The setting is industrial, but softened by the red velvet curtains & the beautiful chandeliers, it felt more glamorous & sophisticated than "concert hall". Several touches that we added (at The Fillmore's suggestion) that guests noticed and commented on - large picture frames behind the bars filled with photos of the bride & groom, TV monitors behind the bars running a powerpoint presentation of photos, round mirrors with flowers in bud vases with votives to brighten up the tables in balcony, draped off gold-plated merchandise area in the front lobby, and flowers & candles in the bathrooms. We did cocktail hour in the balcony and dinner/dancing below. Photobooth was in front of a wall of concert posters and we added a poster of the bride & groom to personalize it. Mikyla was our primary contact after signing our contract with Chris & Melanie, and she was wonderful coordinating the day-of matters before and during our reception. The entire staff at The Fillmore was kind and gracious. My daughter commented that "everyone was so nice to me"! It wasn't just that they were kissing up to the bride - they were friendly and helpful in every possible way and many guests also let us know that the staff did a great job and was outgoing, friendly, and helpful. This stretches from front door greeters/security to coat check, to bar staff. The bartenders didn't skimp on the drink pours either - we got many comments on the great bar service! Highly professional from top to bottom! Cost indicated below includes top shelf open bar. Wonderful facility and great people - thanks!
