When my wife and I first got engaged, I said there were 2 things I had to have at our wedding…plated meal service and a band. I come from a very musical family, and I just couldn’t have it any other way. However, that also makes me very picky. Many bands lack the talent or energy to remain fun and interesting all night, and even the most talented wedding bands can be super cheesy! Because of this, I dragged my wife to see several bands. Most of them were just ok, and the half-way decent ones were so expensive! Then I saw Baytown Band. They were AMAZING! There wasn’t a weak link among them, and the male and female lead vocals, John and Chante, were unbelievable! They left all the cheese out of their performance. I thought for sure that having such a great band would be way too expensive. When I found out they were half the price of most other bands of their size and style, I knew I had to have them! On the day of the wedding, they did not disappoint! The keyboard player did a wonderful job with a couple of new pieces he had to learn for our wedding, and the full band was great at the reception. They started with an instrumental set and continuously ramped up the energy level as the night went on so things really finished on a high note. They had people dancing all night and demanding an encore after the last dance song…and they did oblige with a KILLER version of Lady Marmalade! They were also flexible enough to learn a couple of songs that my father wrote that are very meaningful to us, and back him up. Everyone we spoke to after the wedding raved about them! There’s no way we could’ve ever had such an amazing reception without Baytown Band.
