We love this bakery so much and were so glad they let us order a large of our favorite mixed baked goods like e'claris, cupcakes, cookies, etc.. They were a huge hit and felt like really high quality product vs asking the caterer to do it or getting a fancy cake. Very happy with our decision. We paid in advance and had a family member pick it up from them on the bid day. Called to remind them a week or two before the wedding too as instructed too. Glad we could count on them. Might have been nice if they could deliver but no big deal.

I can't say enough AMAZING things about Marla. I found her on YELP some months ago, pretty much right after I got engaged and immediately set up an appointment to meet with her and have a cake tasting. I was blown away with how delicious Marla's cakes and presentation was. My favorites were the coffee chocolate, red velvet, and tiramisu. The coffee chocolate was moist, rich, and had a nice creamy texture. The red velvet was nice, light, and flavorful. I am usually not the biggest tiramisu fan, but Marla's is sooooo freaking good. Her pricing is super reasonable and her designs are so nice, neat, and beautiful. I definitely recommend her for all your cake needs.

In the midst of 6 cake tastings (spread over a few weeks, of course), I realized that I had to book Montclair Baking. They were super professional, flexible on their delivery, and the carrot and double chocolate cake tasted amazing. The carrot cake was not too sweet, not too dry, like many of the other bakeries. I super appreciated the ease of ordering and how amazing my cake looked on our wedding day. I highly recommend Montclair Bakery!

Merritt Bakery makes the best cake. My wedding cake was soooo good, That someone stole a tier of the wedding cake. I swear. I had went on a massive hunt for the best, freshest cake and Merritt won hands down. Great service. I was in heaven when I ate that cake. I order a replica mini cake every year for our anniversary.

Alison is a creative genius. She crushes it every single time. We have gotten several sculpted and/or themed cakes from her for birthdays or special occasions, and somehow each one impresses me more! She’s also wonderful to work with which is HUGE!! Do not hesitate if you’re looking for something incredible. Not a wedding but wanted to be sure to review her wherever possible.

I have nothing but great things to say about Debbie Goard. She is fantastic to work with, very flexible, and extremely talented. Our wedding was held outdoors in a garden, so I wanted a floral theme to the cake. I never wanted cupcakes, but when I compared the cost I (reluctantly) decided to go with it. Each one of the cupcakes had a hibiscus flower and looked pretty realistic. In the end, I was so happy that I went with Debbie's cupcakes because they looked gorgeous and truly were the centerpiece of the decor. Not to mention they were delicious!

We ordered our wedding cake (red velvet with buttercream frosting) from Delicieuse Princesse Bakery, and we could not have been happier. Our cake looked exactly like the picture we showed them, was moist and delicious, and literally less than 1/2 the price of other wedding cake quotes we received.

The ladies at JatGC were great! The cupcakes are the best in the Bay and they arranged them beautifully! Leftover cupcakes are the 2nd best thing I came home with that day!

Jen was so great! We had a vegan wedding, so we knew that we’d go to Angel Cakes to provide our wedding cake and the cupcakes for our wedding guests. I don’t know of another bakery that has so many vegan cake flavor options! Everyone loved the cupcakes—it was one of the comments we heard most after the festivities! Jen even provide a separate box of gluten free cakes for one of our guests with an allergy. The simple buttercream design was exactly what we wanted. No fuss, just a beautifully frosted & delicious cake! We can’t wait to eat our frozen saved slice on our anniversary.

AMAZING!!! I reached out to Two Chicks In the Mix and spoke with Malaka in search of a wedding cake baker for my wedding this past June. She was responsive and timely with her communication. We procrastinated and decided on a one-tier cake a little over 1 month out from our wedding originally with a different local baker. However they left us waiting for responses for days and as long as a week. With 3 weeks to go and anxiety riding high, I thought to contact Malaka again and inquire about a cake, noting how crunched we were for time. Malaka was swift with her response (that same evening) and offered us a price for a decorated 8 inch one-tier naked cake (to serve 35) with florals plus delivery to Sunol for a very reasonable price!! We immediately cancelled with the first cake baker and finally relaxed knowing we were in good hands. Their business locally sources and decorates all their own cakes with florals which I love and support. Our flower vendor gave us a bit of resistance about this because they were afraid outside florals would be lower in quality and negatively affect their branding if the incorrect business was credited for the cake flowers on social media. We reassured them that Two Chicks would be tagged for the cake flowers. We then gave Two Chicks the same color scheme and flower/greenery type that our florist would use and trusted them to take care of the rest. Well lo and behold, the flowers looked absolutely GORGEOUS and seamlessly blended in with the rest of our wedding decor. The cake was absolutely delicious and retained its quality even after sitting out for 4 hours on a relatively warm spring day. We received tons of compliments about how delicious the cake was (we went with the Lavender and Earl Grey). We loved our cake so much that we ordered cake for Father’s Day which my father loved and was incredibly delicious. I would highly highly recommend Two Chicks not only for wedding cakes but for any occasion. They are true professionals and bring consistency, quality, creativity, uniqueness, and passion into what they do. Support this black-owned business! We will continue to do so. Thank you so much!!
