About

Inspired by art deco and the boozy parties of the twenties during prohibition, Zander's is a luxurious space for guests to experience a different side of Baltimore. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the oldest investment bank in America (built in 1901) located in the heart of Baltimore’s historic Financial District, was restored and converted to an upscale venue.

The restoration included the building’s original marble, oversized windows, a historically-accurate bar, and a Tiffany dome

The Alex. Brown & Sons building at 135 E. Baltimore St. survived the Great Fire of 1904 and will begin a new life as a premier wedding venue and restaurant.

Great Time!

I attended a wedding/reception here in November. Brendon and his staff did an amazing job! Every time I would look up, there was another dish of food coming out. The food was great! There was a wide variety of drinks at the bar. All of the staff had an up for the challenge attitude. The service was quick and prepared. This event had elegant/mystic/vintage vibes. Lots of people and lots of fun! Definitely would recommend!

Phenomenal Service, and Vegetarian/Vegan friendly too!

Chef Brendon and Liliahna were one of the best parts of our wedding. Many of our guests remarked upon the creativity and quality that went into every dish, and we could not have been happier with how our catering turned out. Brendon was super helpful in coordinating a fully vegetarian menu for us, and offered a wide variety of options so that we didn't feel limited at all. he included linens, equipment, settings - everything we needed! From the beginning he communicated with us quickly and efficiently to ensure we would have everything we wanted come wedding day.

During the wedding, Brendon himself came to our table a few times both to say hi (he's cool, we wanted to be his friend), and to check in on how everything was. As a busy couple at a wedding, we were very thankful that he was taking the time to get us extra food or set things aside for us. I could not recommend Liliahna higher for the months leading up to the wedding that helped us feel prepared, to the incredible spread provided to us. We are in love!

PS - If you aren't asking for the mac n cheese bites as an appetizer for your event, you are missing out.

Such a disappointment

We hired Brendon based on his background and his flexibility for our wedding. Apparently it was all an act. He didn’t take notes on anything I asked for. He went to the
Culinary Institute of America, so I would never have expected bottle salad dressing, store bought appetizers and shrimp that looked raw! There was no enough service and dirty plates were left in front of the guest. There was no or very little passing of the food when this was supposed to be a heavy cocktail party. We he asked me what to do with the leftovers, I had realized I hadn’t eaten and his response was, “you didn’t get anything”, not can I get you anything. The places was left a mess and in my wedding dress, I had to clean the kitchen and the mess they left in the garage. Such a disappointment. Really tarnished what could have been beautiful.
