History

The Bel Air Armory was originally built in 1915, becoming the town’s Civilian Defense Headquarters during World War II. After the war, it was repurposed as a community center, housing important services such as the Red Cross. In August of 2004, the Armory was donated to the Town of Bel Air who has since been dedicated to maintaining and renovating this historic building.
