What is the story behind Hammond-Harwood House?
The mission of the Hammond-Harwood House Association is to preserve and to interpret the architecturally significant Hammond-Harwood House Museum and its collection of fine and decorative arts, and to explore the diverse social history associated with its occupants, both free and enslaved, for the purposes of education and appreciation.
The garden at Hammond-Harwood House provides a lovely respite for your ceremony. Hidden in back and enclosed by a brick wall, a set of tall magnolia trees and over 200-year-old boxwood hedges make for a unique space for couples to say "I do". The area is maintained by volunteers and has been certified as “Baywise” for its plantings and care.
