Thanks for stopping by to look into my bridal and event services. Let me tell you a little about me just to get an ideal of what kind of artist I am and how I can work with you to create an amazingly dreamy look for your special day.

Makeup and Grooming by Kathy Aragon for DC Modern Luxury Magazine.

I’m a DC and NY celebrity agency makeup and hair artist signed with Artists by Timothy Priano in New York. What does that mean exactly? I do hair and makeup for all types of celebrities on editorial (magazine), red carpet, and/or event appearances. I am also the Sr. Hair and Makeup Artist at CNN in Washington DC.

Because I work with everyone from "A list celebrity diva" types, to military men who reluctantly have to get groomed for an information video, I am able to adjust to all situations very comfortably. My confidence in the work I do has created a work environment where everyone can relax an know they are in good hands and that they will leave happy. No matter the subject, or how stressfull a situation is, I stay true to my friendly demeanor. I don’t believe in doing something for a living that you don’t love, and people are a big part of my business, therefore I like to bring a positive attitude to any job I am doing. I not only get ongoing referrals from past clients because of my love of clean and detailed (HD ready!) makeup, but because I bring a "joyful presence" to any type of job I am on (so I’ve been told).

Now here is more about the actual work I do!

As I mentioned, I have a lust for clean and beautiful makeup. I don’t put more makeup on you than needed and I don’t consider a makeup job a paint by numbers project. Everyone’s face and features are different. Everyone has that little thing they love and that little thing they would rather not showcase. That is where I come in. I blend away any minute flaws and highlight your best features to make you look like you, but just a glowing and radiant version of you, on your special day.

Every bride’s taste is different as well. One may love their eyes to speak dramatic volumes while another may just want to keep a very understated yet polished look for their day. I am here to work in collaboration with you to create exactly what you want , and maybe even what you didn’t think could be possible!

I started in weddings, moved into the fashion and commercial field through time, then went on to work with celebrities for red carpet events, and somewhere in there I hold the title of Sr. Hair and Makeup artist at CNN, so I do not do weddings full time anymore. I have only recently opened my book back up to take on more weddings because frankly, I miss it!

I miss being the part of the process that brings great memories back to one's wedding day. I love creating classic looks that will always be commented on when friends and family go through photos of your special day years down the road. I love working with a group that truly appreciates the skill set that goes into making someone look radiant which in turn puts a lighter spring in their step.
