Nestled just North of Terryville, Connecticut, Wood Acres Farm is a family-owned and operated venue for weddings. It can be found down a quiet country road amidst 25 acres of serene farmland at the foot of the Litchfield Hills. There is plenty to explore on the property, such as the wooded trails, glistening ponds, manicured gardens, and vast greenery that set the scene for a magical wedding celebration.
Facilities and Capacity
Couples can start the celebrations off by arriving in style on a horse-drawn carriage. Then, they can tie the knot in the romantic gardens encompassed by lush florals. When the vows have been exchanged, everyone can head to the outdoor bar situated on the wide wrap-around porch for a dreamy cocktail hour. With photo opportunities at every turn, newlyweds and their loved ones can follow the bricked walkways to find the perfect backdrop for the all-important photography shots. For the reception, everyone can head to the stunning wood-panelled Barn with wide-plank timber floors, plentiful windows, and stylish decor with space for 140 guests. Two sets of elegant French doors allow plenty of natural light to shine through. When the meal is finished, guests head onto the huge dance floor for an evening of laughter, joy, and funny dance moves. Attached to the Barn is the Perch is a private plateau where the newlyweds can escape the excitement and have a quiet moment to themselves to take it all in.

The Cottage is available for the day's preparations. It is complete with skylight windows, soft accent lighting, personal dressing rooms, full-length mirrors, and beauty stations for a morning of pampering. Their professional and friendly event coordinators will be on-site to help ensure that everything runs seamlessly on the day. What can I say? Love this venue. A great New England setting. Always a joy for me to DJ there. What a view. What a fun place. I can't say enough good things. Joyce is the best. She'll make sure everything is perfect and treats any vendor great. This is important since vendors all need to work together to assure an event is seamless. I always look forward to my next event at Wood Acres.
I have been the DJ at this venue over the years many times. I have had many happy6 brides and grooms use the venue as well as the horse and carriage rides that they provide. They are fabulous!
