Aubrey was our wedding planner and wedding coordinator for our August wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe, and from the beginning of the planning process through the final moments of the wedding day, she was absolutely instrumental in making the entire experience everything we hoped it would be.

From day one, Aubrey and Events by Grace and White gave us access to an incredible suite of wedding planning software and tools that made organizing an enormous number of moving pieces far more manageable. Between timelines, vendor coordination, planning details, and all the little decisions that come with a destination wedding, we always felt like there was a system and a process behind everything.

Aubrey’s vendor recommendations were also outstanding. She seems to know someone for absolutely anything and everything, and more importantly, the people she recommends operate at an exceptionally high level. Whether we needed help with a major vendor, a specific service, or some random detail we had not thought about until halfway through the process, Aubrey always seemed to have the right person to call. Her network and knowledge of the Lake Tahoe wedding market were invaluable.

That local knowledge was especially important to us because this was a destination wedding. Aubrey knows the Tahoe area extremely well and helped us create something that felt connected to the region rather than like a generic wedding that happened to be held there. She also went well beyond the wedding itself, generously helping us identify and evaluate venues for our welcome party and rehearsal dinner. Her familiarity with the area, the vendors, the logistics, and what actually works in Tahoe helped give the entire weekend a local touch.

One of Aubrey Silva’s greatest strengths, though, is her extraordinary emotional intelligence. Weddings involve a lot of personalities, family dynamics, opinions, vendors, budgets, competing priorities, and occasionally difficult conversations. Aubrey navigated all of it with an incredible amount of tact, calm, patience, and professionalism. She always seemed to understand what a situation required, when to push, when to listen, when to offer a solution, and when to simply take something off our plate and handle it.

Her availability throughout the process was also remarkable. We genuinely tried not to abuse it, but Aubrey and her team were incredibly flexible with us, nights, weekends, odd hours, whatever the planning process required. It honestly felt like 24/7 service. Whenever something came up, we knew we could reach out and get thoughtful, useful guidance rather than feeling like we were waiting for the next business day or the next scheduled meeting.

She was also extremely respectful of our budget. Rather than defaulting to “spend more,” Aubrey consistently looked for creative ways to save money without sacrificing the vision, quality, or guest experience. She understood where spending would actually make an impact and where there were smarter ways to accomplish the same goal. We always felt like she was treating our money carefully and helping us spend intentionally.

Aubrey has an incredible ability to take vague ideas, half-formed concepts, or even just a vibe and turn them into something real, which was especially important for our wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe. There were many times when we could not articulate exactly what we wanted. We could describe how we wanted the wedding to feel, the guest experience, and the overall energy, but not necessarily how to execute it. Aubrey understood the vibes intuitively and translated those conversations into actionable plans, design decisions, vendor direction, timelines, and countless small details that ultimately created exactly the experience we had imagined.

And then there was the wedding day itself, which is where Aubrey and the Events by Grace and White team were truly exceptional.

Because of Aubrey, we were able to be 100% present at our own wedding.

We spent the day talking to our friends and family, laughing, celebrating, eating, drinking, dancing, and actually experiencing the event we had spent so long planning. We were never pulled away to answer logistical questions, manage vendors, solve problems, or deal with emergencies.

We are certain things came up behind the scenes, because things always do at an event of that size, but if there were problems or emergencies, Aubrey handled them so seamlessly that we never even knew about them. That may be the greatest compliment we can give a wedding coordinator. She and her team absorbed the stress, logistics, and inevitable curveballs so that we, as the couple, never had to.

Her day-of staff was absolutely phenomenal. They seemed to be everywhere they needed to be without ever feeling intrusive, and every detail simply happened when and where it was supposed to happen. We were able to completely let go and trust that Aubrey and her team had everything handled.

The result was a genuinely flawless wedding weekend. We walked away feeling that there was absolutely nothing we would have changed.

Aubrey Silva is simply exceptional at what she does, and Events by Grace and White is the best wedding planning team we could possibly have asked for. They understood our vision, captured the exact vibe we wanted, respected our budget, connected us with incredible vendors, brought invaluable Lake Tahoe knowledge to our destination wedding, and executed the entire weekend at an extraordinarily high level.

Planning a wedding in Northern California from Los Angeles, my now husband Troy and I knew that hiring a wedding planner was an absolute must-have. We interviewed two different wedding planning companies, and immediately felt that Curated G+W could perfectly execute our clear vision of a timeless, classic, modern romantic wedding. We had an introductory call with Hannah Palmer, and booked soon after.

Hannah totally understood Troy and my style of wedding planning (i.e., easily overwhelmed and quick to get decision fatigue!). Troy and I booked Curated G+W a year plus before our wedding date, so Hannah was intentional with the items we tackled each month and she gave us ample notice when we would embark on new wedding planning boulders. She kept us level headed and above water while we also juggled our usual busy lives!

Hannah was also incredibly adaptable and was seamlessly able to navigate through the changes to our vision, budget, guest count, etc. Hannah was able to simultaneously propose several different plans so that we could weigh our options and make informed decisions. I also love that Hannah wasn’t afraid to give her true thoughts and opinions based on her industry expertise, which made it a lot easier to make tough decisions! I welcomed her input.

As we got closer and closer to the wedding, it took so much stress off our shoulders knowing Hannah was handling all vendor communications! It really helped us stay focused and prioritize not being in the trenches of emails/phone calls.

Hannah really went above and beyond as our wedding planner! Even handling things like getting a custom portrait I had commissioned of Troy and his siblings professionally printed, framed, and gift wrapped in Northern California so that it would be a surprise on our wedding day!

On the day of the wedding, I was 100% stress-free knowing that all our vendors would be arriving on time as she coordinated, any fires (I don’t think there were any!) would be handled by her and her team in the background, and all I had to focus on was marrying the love of my life!

We recently got married on 11.18.2023 and could not ask for a better team. We were blessed to have Carrie help execute our wedding timeline and help us plan accordingly. To add on to their amazingness, I just remembered that we initially had a content creator who was supposed to be there on our wedding day but backed out the week of. On the day of our wedding rehearsal, Sara informed us that she got us a content creator for our wedding day. This was the best gift that we received for our wedding. We worked with Mary from Curated by Grace + White and we tell everyone we possibly can that it was the best decision we made for our wedding. I don't even know where to start on how amazing she was to work with. We were originally scheduled to get married in May of 2020 and had to postpone MULTIPLE times and Mary saved the day in getting all of our vendors moved and working with the venue to accommodate the shifts. Beyond the scheduling, she understood the type of day and vibe we wanted and helped us find the best vendors at the right price and could help us navigate what would make the most impact to our guests and creating the day we wanted.
