WENDY KERNER is a full time professional harpist who performs in person and virtually throughout the Northeast. Described as "first rate" by The New York Times, Wendy plays a wide variety of music including classical favorites including the Pachelbel Canon in D, Wagner's Wedding March, Mendelssohn's Wedding March and so much more. She also plays love songs, Celtic music, standards, contemporary songs, and many other marvelous pieces of music. Wendy is a graduate of Juilliard, where she received her Bachelor and Masters degrees in Harp Performance. In addiiton to performing as a solo harpist, Wendy works regularly with many wonderful musicians, playing in duos and trios and larger ensembles. Wendy also frequently arranges for other musicians – singers, string ensembles, brass groups and more. Wendy can play for the ceremony, the cocktail hour, for the reception, and for other special occasions, too. Wendy began the harp at the age of seven because she was intrigued and captivated by the sound and look of the instrument. She has appeared in concert throughout America, performed at the World Harp Congress in France, played for Queen Sirikit of Thailand, the Prime Minister of Ireland and Former First Lady Hillary Clinton. She was presented in her New York Debut in Carnegie Recital Hall as a winner of the Artists International Competition. She is the principal harpist with The Norwalk and Ridgefield Symphonies in Connecticut and the Westchester Chamber Soloists in New York. Wendy has a CD Sounds of the Seine with flutist Donna Milanovich, (The Glorian Duo) on the Delos International label. Wendy is also a founding member of the Irish music group Themselves, and the septet The Fontenay Chamber Players.

In addition to her concert appearances, Wendy has provided music for many weddings and for private and business functions. Her clients have included the United Nations; New York University; Neiman Marcus; Nivea; People’s Bank and the Discovery Museum. Wendy has appeared frequently at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; the Ritz Carlton Hotel, La Panetière; Yale University, the Glen Arbor Golf Club, the Indian Harbor Yacht Club, The John F Kennedy Memorial Library in Boston, The Ocean Cliff in Newport, Rhode Island and many other leading locations throughout Connecticut, Westchester, New York City, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and beyond.
