About this vendor

“Absolutely GORGEOUS!!”

With 5+ decadesof performing and composing Jewish music, you will be nothing short of amazed at what you will hear while you treat your guests a canvas of beautiful music.

Professional flute tone, captivating, soulful expression combined with high level of knowledge translates to what is the right music for everyone. I will lead you with music from strolling during the pre-wedding ceremony or during cocktail hour, or playing for specific ceremonies pre-aisle such as the bedeken or tish or simply to greet your guests with music! At his time you may want a little mix of upbeat or even Broadway tunes as well but always a welcome sound as your guests enter instead of canned or silence or the “backdrop” of shmoozing - which you still can do. When it then becomes time to gather, you will hear a majestic, announcement-like introduction; your guests know in this unique and special way that the procession is about to begin. You will have your original Jewish instrumental song/piece playing by solo flute (best option, or duo or trio, arranged by me or provided to your musicians). Here is THE most unique and special addition to your wedding: Your own Processional! How many hours listening to what everyone else has? Do you want to be the couple who walks down to the same Pachelbel’s canon, or Dodi Li that all others will have chosen? I have composed many award-winning Jewish tunes and performed them on my recordings, all to great reviews. You can own your very own piece, not to be shared with anyone else unless you want to!  Also, you may choose to add a separate melody if you are circling each other, called the Hakofot. I am also known for my improvisations with cantors, interweaving short phrases during the seven blessings, blending my flute with the voice and even capturing the key the cantor will sing in!

If I am playing for your recessional I will play Simin Tov or Od Yishama and/or a traditional exit tune from the early 20th century klezmer repertoire. If you prefer an Israeli tune, just ask! If you want old Turkish sound, again, do ask!

I have been told I am the Queen of Jewish Flute. Listen on YouTube to decide for yourself! Lastly, I leave you with a couple published comments: UK’s Songlines Magazine: Greenbaum breathes new emotional life into familiar klezmer material, while her original compositions uphold the contemporary vitality of the tradition itself. From the solemnly paced “Far Di Kale, Greenbaum explores Jewish marriage and celebratory music while to the Seven Blessing”, Greenbaum’s flute lends crystalline support to glorious chanting.  From the Klezmershack: “Adrianne is a force of nature. Nobody plays like her. If Jethro Tull played klezmer, the energy would be there-but not her skill!” I encourage you to take full advantage of the beauty of solo flute for your ceremony, with your OWN processional!
