As far as events are concerned - this place can do and hold it all- from small catered business meetings to a convention of any kind, if you can imagine it exists, it probably does, and was probably held here at one point. A few that I’ve been to over the years were the tattoo convention, the VOW Bridal convention, our friend's Navy Ball, and most near and dear to my heart, our wedding! It was in December, and a day I will never forget. We also attended our dear friends’ wedding here just a couple weeks ago, reception held in the ballroom. Perfection!

From start to finish, the staff at VBCC were amazing!! From the first meetings with Sabrina R. (Catering manager of Distinctive Gourmet,) who put us in touch with everyone - Darcy P. is the sweetest and most helpful planner and day-of-coordinator. I was and still am, so very thankful for their great work. They were always so responsive with emails, calls, even texts. Wayne, with Whitlock company (sound, lighting and drapes,) was also phenomenal.

Distinctive Gourmet is their catering company that provides the BEST food for all events that take place here. For our wedding, we chose "stations," versus buffet and plated. THE MOST AMAZING Shrimp-n-Grits, ever! Compliments for days and weeks about them. I highly recommend.

I recently just had my wedding here and everything was perfect! I had no worries about anything on my wedding day because I knew Sabrina and Keith were on top of everything. Sabrina helped with the planning and Keith was my Day of coordinator. They both went above and beyond to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. Keith was THE MAN! I can’t rave about him enough. No job was too big or too small for him, he got it done. The food was amazing! Everyone loved it and said “Wedding food usually sucks.”

The venue is awesome for pictures and makes it easy to have ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in one easy place. Guests don’t have to travel after the ceremony and people loved that. Everything about the event went just as planned, which is not common for a wedding...if something was wrong it was fixed and no one stressed me with it. I would recommend The Convention Center to anyone getting married and if I had to do it all over again...they would still my first choice!

This hotel was fantastic for our guests. We had the ceremony and reception at another location, but the hotel was the hub for the guests. We also did a patio party on the day after the wedding that the hotel did a beautiful job organizing. They worked with us closely and were flexible with our needs. Definitely recommend!

EVERYTHING TURNED OUT WONDERFUL. WORKING WITH CHERYL, CHEF JOHN AND STAFF WAS GREAT. ANSWERED ALL OUR NEEDS. FOOD WAS FABULOUS AND CHEF JOHN WORKED WITH US TO CREATE MEALS FOR OUR VEGAN GUESTS, DELICIOUS. WOULD DO IT AGAIN
