Cuisine
The on-site caterer, Distinctive Gourmet, provides the cuisine for the Virginia Beach Convention Center. You and your guests will enjoy the fresh ingredients with the help of the on-site garden, established in 2008. Distinctive Gourmet’s chef Desiree Neal began the garden, initially specializing in herbs. The garden, with the assistance of a local master gardener, now includes 10 raised beds of various vegetables and fruits as well as one flower bed for attracting necessary pollinators. Along with the delectable cuisine, essential items for your wedding event that are provided by this venue include barware, flatware, linens, china, glassware.

From start to finish, the staff at VBCC were amazing!! From the first meetings with Sabrina R. (Catering manager of Distinctive Gourmet,) who put us in touch with everyone - Darcy P. is the sweetest and most helpful planner and day-of-coordinator. I was and still am, so very thankful for their great work. They were always so responsive with emails, calls, even texts. Wayne, with Whitlock company (sound, lighting and drapes,) was also phenomenal.
Distinctive Gourmet is their catering company that provides the BEST food for all events that take place here. For our wedding, we chose "stations," versus buffet and plated. THE MOST AMAZING Shrimp-n-Grits, ever! Compliments for days and weeks about them. I highly recommend.
