Andrea Boykin from Unique Events was a godsend. We hired Andrea to help us coordinate my daughter’s rehearsal and wedding. She was hardworking, dedicated, experienced, and caring. From early planning assistance to the event itself, her knowledge and expertise shone through, culminating in the seamless, fun, and beautiful wedding we envisioned. When we came to truly value Andrea (more than words can adequately convey) was when the unspeakable happened. With no forewarning, our original venue sent us an email (an email!!) informing us that the property had been sold, and they would NOT honor our venue contract. This unexpected email was received less than 80 days before the wedding! Every bride’s, groom’s and parent’s absolute worst nightmare.

The first person we reached out to was Andrea. She made herself instantly available and quickly provided us a list of other potential venues in the area. Her rapid response enabled us to pivot quickly. We were able to visit and select another venue within a week’s time and proceed with the wedding as originally scheduled with the wonderful new venue. As you can tell from the photos, the wedding and venue were absolutely stunning.

Andrea coordinated the entire rehearsal like the pro that she is, answering everyone’s questions and anticipating those no one thought to ask. She showed up the next day ready for action. I never saw her stop moving or sit the entire day, which began many hours before the actual ceremony. She made sure everything was handled from start to finish, from ensuring that the ceremony and reception site were beautifully arranged to securing the gifts and our personal items before she left. She coordinated with all of the vendors behind the scenes, ensuring that each of their parts was completed on time and per our vision. Whatever challenge came her way, she handled it perfectly, always maintaining a calm, cool, and cheerful demeanor – and without us having to worry or lift a finger. She is the ultimate professional.

We hired Ben to officiate our wedding, and the experience was absolutely amazing. From the start, both he and Andrea were incredibly professional, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. When our wedding had to be postponed due to Hurricane Helene, Ben was very understanding and worked with us to reschedule without any stress or complications. Andrea is organized, ahead of the curve, and never misses a step. Should a challenge arise, she's innovative and figures out a solution. I especially love when she is in charge of the decor and florals, because I know that no detail will be missed and everything will be perfect!

Andrea and Ben were both incredible and worth every penny for our wedding! They were both extremely communicative, kind, and helpful for us, since we didn't know what we were doing half the time.

Ben did a great job officiating our wedding, and listened to all of our concerns and requests for the ceremony. Andrea made the month before our wedding a breeze and handled everything from setup, vendor communication, and timeline to perfection!!

Andrea and her team are the ABSOLUTE BEST. Even though we were planning a somewhat smaller and more informal affair, Andrea was a godsend. Leading up to the day Andrea's kind, patient, and detail-oriented communication was amazing. Importantly, she held space for us to be who we are and not pressure us to go in any direction throughout our planing- I cannot overstate how lovely that is. Honestly one of my favorite photos from the wedding was of Andrea leaning into our bird theme by wearing a feather headband!

I did not have to make a single decision or give any direction on our wedding day. I'm telling you- GODSEND. We had no idea if anything went wrong- you can't ask for anything more than that (and we had a caterer, band, DJ and bar set up in a somewhat challenging venue! We found out later that they had to completely pivot where the food was being cooked and set up). At one point Andrea had to kindly redirect the band when they started playing the wrong genre music that we had requested- woof. We were able to simply relax and enjoy the day with our loved ones. We also used her bar services and recommended DJ (who was so patient with our very specific requests) and everything was just perfect- everyone was so friendly, kind, and professional. Andrea also checked in on us throughout the evening and made sure we were fed and had drinks!

Even if you think project management and/or event planning are your strong suits, I'm telling you- HIRE ANDREA AND UNIQUE EVENTS. You don't need to be a hero on your wedding day.

Ben and Andrea were absolutely fabulous to work with and made us feel at ease immediately! They ensured that my wedding was a complete a success. It's difficult to plan a destination wedding, not knowing or really understanding what you're walking into. They had a full knowledge of the area, were able to provide incredible guidance yet valued our input and originality. We had Zoom meetings to hammer out any details and were in constant communication via email. They had a fantastic rapport with the venue staff and people around them!
