The Barn at young harris was the easiest thing to say YES to on our big day! The space is incredible all the vendors she recommends are amazing as well. We got so many compliments on how stunning everything looked. Cannot say enough good things about this place! 10/10 !

A-MA-ZING. I can’t say enough about The Barn at Young Harris. The venue is absolutely stunning with the mountains in the background. They have a large pergola, or the mountain background or even a large tree to get married under. They have a beautiful barn for dancing with any decorations you could want available on site. They provide all the tables and chairs. They have table cloths, napkins and runners. There are 2 cabins on site that make it so convenient. There’s a 3BR2BA that sleeps 8, a 2BR2BA that sleeps 6 and even an efficiency for the honeymoon suite over the cows. This allowed the families to be on site and spend more time together. It also made for a nearly stress-free day because I could just walk back and get the things I forgot, and I sure kept forgetting a lot of things! They provide 2 pavilions. One can be used for the reception and the other we had lawn games set up in. They make a nice rain contingency. There is a spacious bridal ready room with a bathroom and room enough for several bridesmaids. There’s a separate groom ready room. There are HIGHLAND COWS!!! and my daughter and her wedding party got to go groom the highland cows before the rehearsal and dinner. Melanie was very attentive and easy to work with. She was very organized and helped us figure out the layout for the event. She provided us with a map of the layout and list of everything we wanted to use as decorations. They have many wooden signs and chalkboard signs to choose from. There are tons of table decor and lawn decor to decorate with. No additional rental expenses are needed. We did bring a lot of our own decor because I was mixing Guatemalan and Mexican cultures together. The couple are both Hispanic but my daughter is Guatemalan and the Groom's family is Mexican. We were able to incorporate their decor with a lot of our own cultural pieces. In addition to the barn, they have a fire pit for s’mores and places to relax and enjoy the outdoors. My guests played lawn games after the ceremony. An hour before the event, a trellis we bought snapped it half dumping the flowers on the grass. Melanie and her husband came back and helped my husband set up a new backdrop and attached the flowers to it. They went above and beyond to make our experience as stress-free as possible. Many of the wedding guests left the reception when the cows came to the fence and got to feed them treats. This is such a special and beautiful place to get married that my new son-in-law wanted to stay. We will definitely be back, even if it’s only to stay in the cabins. Highly highly recommend this beautiful venue. Did I mention they have fluffy gentle HIGHLAND COWS???!!!

The Barn at Young Harris is an incredible place to host a wedding! The views of the mountains, the hydrangeas, and the wildflowers created such a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere.

Melanie is amazing to work with! She is kind, flexible, and so helpful throughout the process. You can tell she really loves what she does and wants every couple to have their perfect day.

We especially loved having the ceremony in the meadow, the reception in the pavilions, and dancing in the barn. Such a nice way to transition through the evening.

Being able to stay in the cottaged and honeymoon suite on the property made it all feel even more special. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend this venue!!

Melaine is a wonderful person and host for our wedding ! She and her crew made our wedding a day / night to remember! Our wedding was nothing short of perfect. I wanted everything perfect and it was! The views are outstanding, the cottages were perfect, the bridal suite made me feel like a star and all the little details came together perfectly with Melaine and a coordinator. Such an amazing experience!

I have known Melanie long before she undertook this ambitious vision. I never doubted that The Barn at Young Harris would exceed everyone’s expectation. . . . and it most certainly does! Wendell and Melanie have worked tirelessly to create a dream come true. Surrounded by breathtaking mountains with Brasstown Bald being the centerpiece, this venue is continually improved by the owners who really care to provide unparalleled experiences for all who come. I feel that those who choose The Barn at Young Harris have chosen memories for a lifetime.

AMAZING, ONE-OF-A-KIND WEDDING VENUE! I am a Mom of five children - this is my fourth experience planning a wedding. Both the rehearsal dinner, the wedding day, and actual wedding were wonderful and seamless much in part because of The Barn, but most importantly because of its owner, Melanie. She was so very easy to work with and it was a pleasure to work with Melanie and Wendall, her husband.

We toured The Barn in early January this year and knew immediately this was perfect for our son and daughter-in-law. As our plans developed, Melanie was always available to ask questions and we received a response in a timely manner, even when she was on vacation with her family (and please know we had many questions and needs). Her ideas were very helpful and when our guest numbers continued to change at the last minute, she never missed a beat to accommodate our needs. She is organized, friendly, enjoyable, offered many barn accessories in our rental, worked well with our vendors, and honestly, is just very in tune with making the bride and groom happy by meeting their expectations for their dream wedding.

Please also know that I am not sugarcoating this review, I am just stating our personal experience related to the planning of and actual rehearsal dinner and wedding this past weekend - it was everything we every dreamed of for our children. We highly recommend The Barn at Young Harris to anyone that desires a beautiful venue and easy planning experience.

The owner is kind and thorough...and having a cottage on site was very helpful for my now husband to have and visit with family that traveled from afar.
The view is amazing. The facilities were spot on. Having the curtains surrounding the patio was most helpful on a chilly night.

My grandson got married here 11/7/20. The views were stunning, the accommodations were wonderful. Melanie and Wendell went above and beyond in helping us make this wedding perfect. They have a caring and friendly spirit. Our entire family is very grateful we found this venue.

This place was a beautiful dream! Melanie worked incredibly hard to make sure the layout and planning were all implemented to my requests. She went above and beyond which most people do not do. The setting was everything and more than I imagined...a gorgeous mountain backdrop, a spacious pavilion for dinner, and the barn itself worked perfectly for dancing and fun at the end of the night. We also rented the cottages for our bridal party to stay which worked out so well! This venue took my breath away when I first saw it and I can't speak highly enough of my experience!
