Amazing fall wedding!

We were married in October and it could not have been more breathtaking than Tyler Gardens. Every guest could not stop talking about the beauty and perfection of Tyler Gardens. Additionally working with Rae on the day of our wedding was the icing on a perfect fall day. Rae took care of everything in the most professional manner and I am forever thankful to her.

Excellent venue

I recently had my wedding at Tyler Gardens through Open Aire and it was better then I could have imagined. We were originally scheduled for last spring but due to Covid, it could not happen last year. The staffing was so accommodating with working to figure out a new date, while keeping up with all of the new covid regulations. I was able to stop into their show room at Newtown Party Rental and they showed me all the items that we were offered for the wedding. After last year I was not expecting the wedding to actually work out as perfect as it did.

Gorgeous, Elegant, Garden Venue

Tyler Gardens was the first and last venue we looked for our wedding reception. The gardens and tent are absolutely gorgeous! Open Aire Affairs, especially Amanda, were wonderful to work with. Amanda answered all of my (many) questions throughout the planning process and made me feel at ease leading up to our big day. Two days before our wedding there were tornados that touched down nearby. The next day Amanda drove to Tyler Gardens herself to assure me that the tent was perfectly fine and no trees had damaged the gardens for our day. The tent is enormous and easily fit our 120 guests, food stations, additional tables, and dance floor. The patio and fire pit were an awesome perk as well! Keep in mind that if you do choose to have your reception at Tyler Gardens, consider having a day of coordinator to help since Open Aire Affairs is only responsible for the venue and any upgrades you choose; NOT for day of coordination. Open Aire Affairs does provide a wonderful list of preferred vendors (caterers, wedding planners, photographers, etc.). The venue itself is truly breathtaking and if you’re looking for a gorgeous, elegant, garden style venue look no further!

Best Wedding Ever

This venue and staff are amazing. My wife and I got married there over the past weekend and it was the most perfect day ever. We had such an amazing team that helped us throughout the whole process. Rae and Amanda are the best and this day wouldn’t have been what it was without them. We booked with them back in June of 2017 and they were there for us every step of the way. If you are looking for an outdoor garden wedding then this is the perfect spot to pick. They will do everything that they can to make sure you dream comes true.

Fall Wedding

We booked Tyler Gardens an Open Aire Affairs venue in the dead winter with nothing growing or the tented area even up. We were skeptical at first but seeing all the photos we decided to go with our gut & book this venue. Very fortunate for us a date in September opened up for us to book & Amanda was so accommodating. She was very helpful & answered all my bride to be questions. Our event is all our family can talk about over the holiday!

We got married here September 30th 2017. I couldn't be happier with our choice in venue. Working with Rae was such a breeze, she was such a pleasure and made everything so easy. I'm especially OCD and a perfectionist and she was so patient with me and understanding. We did a lot of DIY stuff at our wedding and opted to do our own flowers. We didn't have a bridal party so our "rehearsal" was us setting everything up the night before the wedding. Rae was there to help and I don't think I could've pulled it off without her. She helped make my vision come to life and put up with all the stress I was under that day flawlessly. I couldn't say enough about Rae and her team- they are amazing and helpful with every process along the way. The night was something out of pinterest and I couldn't have asked for anything more

Beautiful grounds

Due to scheduling changes as a result of COVID-19, we only took wedding portrait photos here but are in love with the pictures! The grounds are stunning and are very well-kept. The team at Open Aire Affairs was very accommodating with our schedule changes. As a wedding venue, it is beautiful!

Incredible venue!

Tyler gardens is such a beautiful place to get married! The grounds are beautiful and maintained by a group of volunteers whom we got to meet during our rehearsal. The tent is amazing and the bathrooms were kept very clean. My one issue with Open Aire Affairs was their lack of professionalism and presence. It is very much a “ do it yourself “ venue and you end up paying a lot of money, for poor communication. If you are a self sufficient bride or groom, go for it! We had an incredible wedding at Tyler Gardens!

Our wedding was June, 2018. Tyler Gardens was absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful day. The gardens were in full bloom, the fountains were on. The tent, bridal suite and restrooms were clean when we arrived. The process of booking and working with Open Aire Affairs (OAA) went smoothly. Our first meeting was a walk-through of the Gardens, the second meeting was at Newtown Rentals, where we chose our glassware and linens. To be clear, the rentals are not included in the price and end up being an additional invoice (around $2,000, we specifically asked about this, I think some brides might end up surprised by this bill, since it wasn’t clearly spelled out in the initial meeting). We worked with Amanda and she was able to answer our questions and concerns. For instance, we were worried about the lighting. OAA added more lighting to the tent and staircases so our guests were able to see as they were leaving. We found it easiest to think of OAA as a rental space only. They didn’t help with any of the rehearsal or day-of coordination (this wasn’t made clear when we first met with them. I figured this out through their long list of bad reviews). You, your wedding planner and your caterer will have to do the work of making sure that the site is set up and decorated to your specifications. We would highly suggest discussing this with your caterer or hiring a day-of wedding planner. We used Joseph’s Premier Event Catering; owner Joe Garvey advised us on rentals and offered many helpful hints to keep costs down while having an elegant party. He did a fantastic job with the set-up and take-down (in addition to serving the most delicious scallops ever!) He made sure that everything ran smoothly and we were able to set up our tables and lock up our belongings before the rehearsal. He’s the real deal. Although the site claims handicapped accessibility, that is not completely the case.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
