History
In 1891, Elridge Johnson offered to build a “Tribute House” on his property. This facility’s purpose was to honor the 81 Merion men who were in the armed services during World War I. Architects designed the space with Gothic patterns, local stone, ornamental iron work and stained glass windows. The venue has been part of the wedding industry for 85 years.
