We wanted a cake that fit two criteria: (1) gluten-free and (2) delicious. Tu-lu’s fit the bill. If you have Celiac Disease (or just love good cake) we highly recommend Tu-lu’s. They were professional and easy to work with. We were able to try several different flavors of cake and frosting at our tasting, and we ultimately settled on a three-tier cake with three different cake flavors: chocolate, lemon, and spice, with vanilla cream cheese frosting, each of which was delicious.

My one request for the wedding food was that our cake was gluten free red velvet as I have celiac. Well...when we started the search, we realized how overpriced wedding cakes can be...until we found Tu-lus. They were amazing from start to finish. We LOVED our tasting...we had so many options. We also loved how they were able to really execute our design. We wanted a black cake...with white cascading flowers and they delivered! Everyone loved the cake and we were thrilled.

Tu-Lu's is our favorite gluten-free bakery in the city, so it was awesome to be able to have them create our wedding desserts! It was easy and fun to work with the bakery staff to get our order set up-- from scheduling our (delicious) tasting to recommending quantities, they were all helpful and responsive. The cake was delivered without a hitch, and during the reception our guests, even the most stubborn gluten-lovers of the bunch, all agreed that the cake was phenomenal.

Attention Celiac Brides or Grooms! My husband and I got married on June 2, and I'm proud to say that Tu-Lu's provided us with a gorgeous, decadent gluten-free wedding cake. It was vanilla with buttercream frosting, and we were blown away by how delicious our very first bite was. We actually rushed back to our table as everyone was dancing so we could devour the slices that were left at our place settings. The staff was great, especially Jennifer Wells, who answered all of our questions leading up to the big day, and the cake designer gave us exactly the classic, elegant look we had requested. We have a few more slices in our freezer, which we plan to eat on our one year anniversary. We can't wait!

If you have celiac disease or just a gluten allergy, I would highly recommend using Tu-Lu's Bakery! They are great to work with. At our tasting, we got to taste all kinds of flavors to help us pick out our cake. We ended up getting a 3-layered cake with vanilla and chocolate cake. It has raspberry filling and raspberry buttercream frosting. It was delicious! They did a good job in making the cake look like the picture I had found online too! Only thing I'd change is having them deliver to NJ!

I'd highly recommend Tu-Lu's to all NYC brides, but especially those who want a gluten-free cake. I have celiac and wanted to be able to enjoy my own wedding cake. The cake tasting was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and you can apply the cost to the ultimate cost of the cake. They have a wide range of tasty flavors to go with, and can customize the design to your preferences. The cost was comparable to other, non-GF bakeries.

Our wedding had about 15 people who were either vegan or gluten free so I thought it was perfect when I found tulus and they were able to deliver both in one cake. We had a different cake for everyone else but all the vegan gluten free eaters raved about this cake saying it was the best they have had in a long time. I ordered vanilla cake with maple icing.

I have Celiac disease, and this was the first gluten-free bakery we tried — the tasting was delicious and fun, and it was easy to work with Arianne to make a cake similar to examples we sent in. We ended up going with lemon with lemon frosting, which was delicious and zesty and still tastes great out of the fridge (we got enough to bring the top tier home, and stuck half in the freezer). There were only two other gluten-free guests, and they were the only ones who also knew it was gluten free; everyone definitely enjoyed it as a generally tasty cake! The price was reasonable for a wedding cake, as well. It did taste just like the mini cupcakes from the tasting, so you can use those as a reliable guide for choosing flavors and frosting. Enjoy!
