Duchess of Cameron is a business based in New York City that specializes in handpainted bespoke wedding cakes. The company was established in 2013 by Grey Pak and creates luxurious, one-of-a-kind cakes. Grey and her cakes have been featured on various Food Network shows as well as in publications like BRIDES and Vanity Fair.
Services Offered
Duchess of Cameron specializes in providing an experience as elegant and lavish as the cake itself. The process begins with a consultation so couples can discuss their vision, flavor ideas, and more. Tastings are available so soon-to-be newlyweds can sample various flavors and select their favorite. Once the taste and design elements are finalized, the company can begin work on the cake so it is fresh for the wedding day. The team can deliver cakes within the Tri-state area.

Team
While Duchess of Cameron’s main mission is to create a memorable experience through cakes, Grey (Grace) is also consistently working with nonprofit organizations to promote psychological well-being by providing multi-sensory experiences that can be achieved through the process of cake decorating.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University and a Master of Science in Neuroscience and Education from Columbia University, Grey has always explored various ways to bridge the gap between art and science, experimenting with art forms focusing on phenomenology, the study of consciousness as part of first-hand experiences.
After working in e-commerce at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) with nine years of web design experience, Grey co-founded Duchess of Cameron with her older sister Jen, specializing in high-end letterpress invitations and bespoke cakes. With formal training at the International Culinary Center (formerly the French Culinary Institute) in NYC and graduating with the Grand Diplôme with Distinction in Cake Techniques & Design, Grey realized the positive aspects cake decorating has on mental health, promoting creativity and insight in everyday life. She believes the experience of creating an art form that can physically be shared with others, which literally becomes a part of them and their body, is one of the unique characteristics that makes cake decorating a powerful tool.
In the hope of sharing this positive experience with others, she founded NY Cake Design Lab where International Master Cake Artists are invited to come teach unique cake decorating techniques to professional cake makers, hobby bakers, and first-timers. As a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, Grey also works closely with Licensed Creative Arts Therapists to continually improve and develop the cognitive aspects of the cake decorating programs.
“Besides creating something beautiful that also tastes wonderful, I am on a journey to instill empowerment, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment to those who are knowingly or unknowingly seeking them, via cake-making and decorating. Maybe even call it Cake Art Therapy, if you will. Whether it be by eating cake or making cake, with one cake at a time, I believe we can overcome obstacles together — big or small — because we all have to agree, cakes make everyone happy!”
