I've been to several weddings and most of the time the food has been mediocre. Susan and her team really raise the bar and deliver very high quality and delicious food. We were so happy with the food and many of our guests gave compliments on how good the food was.

Susan is so kind and really made us feel important and that she cared about us truly. Her team did a great job as well with the dinner and bar service. It was so great to have all of that provided through Susan and her team.

We hired Trends catering upon recommendation from our venue, Vine Hill House, for our wedding back in May. We knew as soon as we talked to Sue and saw her menu that we wanted to work with Trends. Throughout the process, Sue was so attentive, hands-on, and flexible. She worked with us on making trade-offs to fit our budget, made many selfless suggestions that helped us save money, and even joined us at Encore to choose our rentals. She went absolutely above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible, and all her staff were just as wonderful. Jasmine organized an incredible tasting for us and helped us cater to all the dietary needs across our guest list when selecting our menu. The food at the tasting and on the day of our wedding was absolutely incredible. Our guests are still raving about it months later, and so many people have said it’s the best wedding food they’ve ever had. The family style service was also a big hit among our guests, and service during dinner was impeccable! The special touches for the bride and groom really set Trends apart as well. They did everything possible to ensure my husband and I found time and space to eat throughout the day, Jasmine had our signature drinks ready for us as soon as we walked down the aisle, and the team even packed a to-go bag with leftovers for us to snack on at the end of the night. Above all, it was really important to us that all our vendors be LGBTQ-friendly, and the entire Trends staff was so inclusive and respectful to all our party members and guests. Susan and her team had great communication throughout the entire process, from the introductory meal to the table settings to the main event. They were all very kind and patient and lovely to work with.

Now for the important part: the food. My wife and I give it a 10/10. They have plenty of options and modifications available. Honestly, it was hard to choose because it all sounded so delicious. Plenty of gluten free options!

For apps, we chose beef quesadillas, tequila shrimp, and salmon corn cakes. For our family style entrees, we chose salmon and chicken, of which there are plenty of delicious varieties. Finally for family style sides, we had polenta, risotto, and fresh veggies. All of it, and we mean all of it, was delicious.

If Trends was a restaurant, we’d be there at least once a week…

For weddings, the ceremony is obviously the most important part. However, I would argue that food is the second most important part. And Trends takes it very seriously. They helped make our wedding smooth, delicious, and unforgettable.

Susan and the Trends team are true and complete experts. That's the only way to describe them, they are professional, dialed in, and make feeding 130+ people seem like nothing. From our first tasting with Susan I knew we had made probably the best decision of our wedding in hiring her. She is so fun, funny, joy filled, understanding, helpful and SHE KNOWS FOOD! Our food wasn't just great wedding food, it was great food PERIOD. We are still getting compliments about how delicious everything was! Some of my favorites of hers are the Thai quesadillas, the California caesar, the ravioli with pesto, the lemon salmon, and the mashed potatoes, and the green beans with mint, but truly you can't go wrong. When I had some last minute changes to our rentals a couple weeks before the wedding, Susan handled it with ease and reassurance. My husband and I can't possibly recommend this team more!!

Our wedding day was made extra special by Trends Catering. Susan and Head Chef Carlos led a team that gave us an awesome food experience that our guests are still talking about.

The food was absolutely top-notch. The Thai quesadilla starters were a hit, and the chicken skewers were juicy and full of taste. The main dishes, like the salads, filet mignon, and salmon, were loved by everyone. And the crowd-pleasers like smash mashed potatoes and baked ziti were just delicious.

Trends suggested we serve the meals in a family-style, and it was a great idea. It let our guests dig in, chat, and enjoy our celebration while eating some amazing food. This style brought everyone together and let them try a bunch of different tasty dishes.

The team at Trends was really good with our guests. They took care of every detail perfectly, showing that they're really professional and pay attention to everything. The bars, including a cool cigar station, a tequila tasting, and a full bar, were well-run and made sure all our guests were happy and impressed.

We hired Trends as our caterer and Susan and her team were stellar. If you surveyed our guests, most people would say dinner was the best part. That’s insane because no one likes wedding food AND we had phenomenal vendors. We hired the best 7 piece band in the Bay Area and a lot of people STILL said dinner was the best part of our wedding. Some of my friends texted me the next morning asking if I had leftovers because they would love to take some home.

Susan and her team are also super professional and easy to work with. Communication was always great and when I’d change my mind, she’d always accommodate me. Susan and her team were fabulous. She and her chef Carlos were so willing to work with us to make sure we had exactly what we wanted on our wedding day. The food was locally sourced, seasonal, and delicious. They have meals for every palette and make great suggestions since they have years of experience. We even got to taste our wedding food after the wedding since Susan prepared a beautifully wrapped to go bag for us. We highly recommend them for future events.
