“I am an artist. When I moved to town over four years ago, I needed a photographer to document my work. Tim came highly recommended to me by a friend who works at Quint Gallery. He’s documented my art at different art spaces around town since then, and every time he’s done a great job.

A couple important images he shot has needed some photoshop love in the past (both times it’s had to do with lighting–I think bringing studio lights would be a plus in some circumstances), but 90+% are good to go as is (wow!). Over all, he sends me very solid images that I proudly include in exhibition and funding applications, as well as on my website. And anytime I’ve asked for a different shot or let him know something isn’t quite the way I want it, he has been willing to reshoot and didn’t seem frustrated at having to do extra work. I really appreciate that.

Bottom line–Tim wants his clients to be happy, not to squeeze in as many jobs as he can, and he always bends over backwards to help out or do something extra to make sure his clients are satisfied. He always folows up to make sure I like his images. He’s made the drive up to La Jolla and Solana Beach to shoot for me, and once when I lost the disk he gave me, he HAND DELIVERED another one to my house that same day. Wow again. Hard to imagine better customer service.

Also, his schedule is extremely flexible. And he returns phone calls and emails promptly. Did I mention what a nice guy he is? And that he is affordable?

Tim considers himself to be an artist, and even though I usually hire him for boring, straightforward documentation work, he always includes a few creative shots. It’s fun for me to see how he interprets the work–I usually look at it differently after seeing his take on it.”
