We booked Thomas Hinds Entertainment for a wedding at Wolfe Heights in October. Thomas and his wife Ruth work as a team and from the start they were professional, easy to work with, and took a lot of stress out of the planning process. They met regularly with the bride & groom, not only to work on music selections and the event timeline but to also build a personal connection, which is rare to find with a DJ. Additionally, they use a specialized planning app which streamlined the entire process and ensured that no important details were overlooked on the big day.

On the day of the wedding, Thomas and Ruth arrived early and set up their equipment without interfering with other vendors who were at work. As the ceremony began, everything proceeded smoothly throughout the day. Thomas and Ruth managed the timeline, guiding guests to find their seats, to speeches, cake cutting and overseeing all the special dances. Both Thomas and Ruth coordinated perfectly with our wedding planners, which was greatly appreciated.

Thomas played the chosen music while adding songs to keep the guests dancing! The atmosphere was energetic, and everyone enjoyed themselves from the very first song to the final dance. Absolutely phenomenal!! 10 💫!! Our original DJ double booked and found us Tom with only 1.5 months to our wedding date. Extremely professional, compassionate, and attentive every step of the way. Some of our guests even asked us if he was family or a long standing friend of ours. 💕 Him and our coordinator worked flawlessly to improvise the evening when the catering was extraordinarily late; our guests didn’t even notice the flaw. Highly recommend his services! My only wish was he was apart of our journey sooner because he was such a joy to have on our team!!

We loved working with Tom and Ruth! We chose them because they offered all the services we were looking for - DJ, day-of coordination, photobooth, lighting & monogram, and dancing on the clouds. It was so much easier having just one vendor handle these things instead of multiple.

The planning process is very streamlined and they have regular checkins with you (every few months) to make sure progress is made. Our wedding included a tea ceremony and a surprise dance for my husband; they did a fantastic job coordinating these with me. Our surprise went off without a hitch and my husband loved it! They also use an app where you can essentially plan out your timeline and add music you want Tom to play for each part of the wedding. Tom did such a great job with our music and had me dancing all night long. I had guests come up to me and say they loved the songs that were played.

Something to note is that this team DOES NOT play explicit music, and if you request it, they’ll find a clean/censored version of it to play. I wanted to call this out because this may not be for everyone. We didn’t mind this for our wedding because we had a good amount of kids who attended and it was nice knowing that Tom would clean up our playlist.

Another major differentiator with this team is having Ruth as our day-of coordinator. She made sure that our day ran smoothly and coordinated with our other vendors. The best feeling on your wedding day is knowing that stuff will be taken care of. Things that you planned for months will just happen and you didn’t have to be there to make it happen because the people you hired knew what they were doing. That’s how I felt with this team. Speechless. Tom and Ruth blew us away with their services. They are the dynamic duo, the dream team! I couldn't imagine having our wedding done by anyone else. They think of everything, lighting, music, photo booth, cold spark fireworks, dancing in the clouds effects, and pure fun. Ruth is also the day of coordinator that kept our wedding on track, on time, worked with our other vendors so I didn't have to worry about a single thing. Tom surprised us and came up with an awesome love story about my husband and I that he read in front of everyone. Just an absolutely amazing couple. Easy to work with, they go above and beyond to make your event dreams come true all while being super affordable as well. Highly recommend!

Tom and Ruth were an amazing DJ/day-of-coordinator team for our wedding. They met with us several times before the wedding and helped us stay on track with planning through the app. They did a venue walk-through with us which was SO helpful. The Tom/Ruth team was exactly what we needed. For dancing music we were able to input all the songs we wanted (and didn’t want) in the app and Tom played them in an order they worked really well. For our cocktail hour, Tom did a great job creating an oldies/jazz playlist. We had a last minute change to the walk-out order and they made sure to accommodate. Ruth also helped to make sure a guest got their vegetarian dinner plate that I forgot to put on the list. Our small cutting cake came out at the right time and Ruth made helped us put it away afterwards to make sure it was safe. Also- the Photo Booth was so so fun! Their son was the attendant and he was great. He made sure enough prints were made for everyone in the group.

Overall, I heard from many guests about how fun our wedding was and how everyone loved the Photo Booth, and it felt like it ran as smoothly as it could. A wonderful experience and highly recommended.

Tom and Ruth were absolutely amazing throughout the entire wedding planning process. Thanks to them my wedding went smoothly and our guests had a great time. I could not asked for a better DJ and coordinator than this team !

If I could give 100 stars, I would. Tom and his wife Ruth are the most thorough and professional DJ/MC/photobooth/vendor coordination team out there. They were absolutely essential in our wedding being as successful as it was and I could not imagine our big day without them. From helping us put together a timeline, to providing input and suggestions every step of the way, Tom and Ruth truly cared about us and our special day. I cannot recommend them strongly enough! Please, please, please use them for your events! I will certainly use them again if I plan any big parties again!

My husband and I got engaged last summer and began planning our April 2023 wedding in December 2022… Planning a wedding is already hard enough, but in 5 months? We were insane. We were so worried that all of the great DJs would already be booked but to our surprise, Tom had our date open! Not only that, but he (and his wife Ruth who Coordinated day of) exceeded any and all expectations we had. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better duo and we’re so grateful for everything they did. They completely went ABOVE AND BEYOND! In every aspect! I cannot begin to explain every little detail they helped with and how great all of the services they provided were. It’s been over a month and all of our guests are still raving about how much fun it was and we owe all of that to Tom and Ruth. Tom was there at the rehearsal, planning and making sure everything was perfect, he had everyone dancing all night long, and even threw in some really sweet moments we will cherish forever. Ruth was a gift sent from above!!! Not only was she extremely sweet and easy to talk to, which is great for a bride who is STRESSED, but she was there and willing to help with whatever was thrown her way. There were so many little (and big) things that they did that just made our wedding perfect. They are the complete package and we cannot recommend them enough. The only reason we were able to pull off such a perfect and fun wedding was because of these two, their dedication to their clients and all the services they provide.
