About Martine - Owner & Founder
A recent bride herself (that's her on the left!), Martine understands what it's like to experience weddings from both sides--as a planner and as a bride. While planning her own destination wedding, she became inspired to help fellow brides by creating the wedding blog Primp My Bride, where she shares advice and tips that are invaluable during the wedding planning process. She later applied to become a Featured Blogger on WeddingBee, the largest wedding blog in the US and was accepted, giving her the chance to share her wedding planning experience with an audience of millions. She has been quoted for tips on wedding planning in both Huffington Post Weddings, Forbes, Bridal Guide and Bride & Groom Magazine.
Inspired to help couples on an even more personal level and with encouragement from her amazing husband, family and friends, she decided to take her passion one step further and plan weddings professionally. She took the Professional Development Program through the Association of Bridal Consultants and successfully completed the course as a Distinguished Graduate. She is a Certified Wedding Planner and member of the Association. She also served as the Assistant Director for the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists.

Martine was everything we could have hoped for and more! We hired Martine early on as a “month of/day of” wedding planner. Even though we hired her for the “month of” service, she was always open to talking with us throughout the year leading up to our wedding. She was in the loop with everything and helped us tremendously. She was always willing to answer questions or offer a suggestion as we looked for other vendors. Eight months before our wedding when we found out our original venue, which was under construction, wasn’t going to be ready in time, I thought our wedding was hopeless and not going to happen. Martine listened to us and she helped us figure out what to do. Being an attune person who pays close attention to detail, she heard excitement in my voice when describing one of three venues in CT that happened to have our date available 8 months prior and she helped bring us clarity in choosing a new venue under extreme circumstances and we couldn’t have been happier. Our wedding wasn’t easy - there were a lot of logistics and Martine handled everything with ease! From coordinating the coach buses for our guests to creating a schedule that outlined our day down to the minute, Martine helped make our day perfect. There was such peace of mind knowing everything was going to be ok and Martine was in charge, which allowed us to fully enjoy our day - which is crucial, because it goes by in a flash. Martine is the BEST. We really cannot recommend her highly enough. I was initially skeptical of the wedding planner thing, but I have to say that every meeting we had with her she thought of something that we had not or suggested a fix to a problem that we never would have thought of. It was crucial to have her input throughout the process. Also, setting up meetings with her was a great way to keep ourselves on schedule.Sent on 05/13/2015
I almost feel like I need to have two reviews here though because, while her services were valuable during the long-term planning and in the months leading up to the wedding, her help in the last few weeks before the wedding and her day-of services were a whole other level of awesomeness. She is like a machine! She kept track of so many details and was four steps ahead of everyone and everything. Our actual wedding day went off without any problems, and I really believe it was primarily due to Martine’s help and guidance on the day of. We were able to just sit back and experience the day. It’s like having a genie on hand that you can just ask to go deal with some problem that’s developing or some scheduling issue that has arisen. Really great stuff.
I should add in all of this that Martine’s really a pleasure to work with. She’s not overbearing or crazy, even when she’s organizing and directing all this stuff. That being said, she was also willing to play bad cop with vendors when necessary, which I am thankful for because I am not super good at that. But with us, we always felt like she was on our team – or maybe a calm and wise coach for our team.
We really highly recommend Martine for whatever wedding or event you need help with. She is the real deal.
Martine will take care of the details you don't even think of! She is a trusted professional and joy to work with.
