The X Isles duo play enjoyable island party favorites including vocal tunes by Jimmy Buffet, UB40, and Bob Marley, Caribbean steel drum instrumentals like Guantanamera, Yellow Bird, and St. Thomas, current acoustic rock by Zac Brown, Jack Johnson, and Kenny Chesney, as well as classic songs from artists like James Taylor, The Beatles, Sting, and Paul Simon, to name a few. Last summer, our most successful season to date, favorites for wedding ceremonies were Marry Me, Better Together, and Over the Rainbow.

The “Island Style Music” concept of the X Isles continues to expand, offering a variety of musical styles. John blends his voice and guitar with pre-recorded bass and drum backing tracks allowing for a full band sound at a comfortable listening level in a compact area. This year John will be working with George Zecher and Aaron Cote (based on availability) to add that incredible live steel drum vibe to the mix. The group can expanded to a 3 piece with the addition of Rusty Hughes of keyboard. John is also available as a solo performer with plenty of island tunes and more of an emphasis on acoustic rock selections. With a flexible musical repertoire, the X Isles (duo, solo or trio) can customize a set list to accommodate any occasion.

The X Isles have performed for RI Monthly's Best of Rhode Island award show at PPAC, the Newport Chamber of Commerce and numerous weddings and corporate functions throughout Southern New England including Boston and Cape Cod. A favorite with the Newport summer sailing crowd, they perform regularly at Newport's exclusive Bailey's Beach Club and Chelo's in East Greenwich. During the busy summer season you can also catch us at Harbor Lights Marina and Country Club in Warwick, poolside at Aqua (Marriott Hotel) in Providence, as well as cranking out the tropical party tunes at Westerly's famous Ocean House.
