The White Barn Farm is a stunning private estate situated on 110 acres of farmland, forests and manicured gardens in Brookline, VT. Serene and secluded, this historic property is nestled within a scenic Vermont valley and provides a stunning setting for once-in-a-lifetime occasions. It is owned by Mike and Sue DeSocio, a husband-and-wife duo who envisioned a transformation of this property to the perfect location for couples to celebrate in the heart of nature with family and friends. Nature provides the ideal setting with fields of wildflowers, mountain views, bird song and babbling streams. Lounge by the heated pool, hike or bike miles of trails right on the property, stroll among the lavender and perennial gardens or take a yoga class before the guests arrive. Enjoy the farm to table bounty from this working agricultural farm and relax in the evening around a bonfire. Couples are invited to plant a tree of their choice and the wedding orchard, and check on its progress as the years go by!
The White Barn Farm is offered as an "exclusive use" weekend venue rental (Thursday afternoon through Sunday at noon) mid May through mid October and therefore ideal for destination weddings (some day rentals are available in the spring and early summer). The farm boasts beautifully landscaped lawns, gardens, a variety of specialty crops (heirloom apples, lavender, rare varieties of white pumpkins, maple sugar and vegetables), fields and forests - with a number of carefully curated outdoor ceremony locations to choose from. The historic White Barn, which dates back to the 1800s, is the centerpiece of the property and is an exquisite backdrop full of vintage charm for your celebration. Your reception is in the field under a high peaked tent with breathtaking 360 degree views. Included in the venue rental is the newly renovated farmhouse with 5 luxury bedrooms with private bathrooms and ample space for gatherings. There is camping on the premise and several area options for additional guest accommodations.
Located less than three hours from New York, Boston, Hartford, and Albany, this easily accessed, picturesque venue provides a private sanctuary from the fast pace of big-city life. Mike and Sue are ready to help you put every detail in place to create a seamless and stress-free wedding weekend.

Phenomenal Venue and Team
Planning a wedding isn't easy, but the team at White Barn Farm (Sue, Angelina, and Michael) are extraordinary and went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I wanted for my big day. That's another great thing about White Barn Farm -- your experience can be customizable. You can choose your vendors, which means you can choose your tent style, your caterer, your florist, etc. -- all to meet your budget. Sue and the WBF team know all the vendors in the area and were able to find me an amazing team that helped my vision come alive. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, they coordinated with my vendors and helped solve any issue that came up (for instance, a chair shortage in the area!).
Sue and Michael are also truly magnificent hosts and welcomed us at White Barn Farm as though we were family. They made the entire process seem so simple, which allowed me to trust them blindly to guide me through the entire planning process. I cannot recommend this place enough. We had a truly magical day, all thanks to the WBF team.
A Dream Come True
At White Barn Farm, you never really feel like "customers," you feel like close family. Sue and her husband, Michael, made us feel at home the weekend of the wedding and welcomed us very warmly. The venue includes a restored farmhouse that we stayed in and, with five rooms and ample space, it is ideal for the immediate family of the bride and groom to stay in during the wedding weekend. The farmhouse is also beautifully decorated and fully equipped with anything you may need during your stay. And if that weren't enough, the surroundings at White Barn Farm are absolutely breathtaking! You have amazing views from the farmhouse of the orchards, gardens, and tree farms all around the property.
White Barn Farm is truly perfect for celebrating special occasions. In the days leading up to the wedding, Sue and Michael were available to give us a private tour of the forest near the farm and showed us where in the garden to pick fresh tomatoes and sweet apples. During the day of the wedding, they also worked seamlessly with my daughter's wedding planner to make sure all details were in place and everything went off without a hitch. They were such a wonderful team and their efficiency and hospitality made us want to return as soon as possible!
I can't recommend this place enough and there are truly not enough words to explain what a wonderful time our entire family had. Thank you Sue and Michael for making our experience such a memorable one!

Beautiful, quiet farm venue with incredible owners
The property is incredibly beautiful and peaceful. It is extremely clean and well-maintained with neat discoveries around every corner - flower and vegetable gardens, vineyard, tree farms and wooden swings, the beautiful old barn and the amazing fire pit area. It a farm property that dreams are made of. The weddings are not in the barn itself - they are held under a tent just steps away - but the beautifully restored white barn provides a dramatic backdrop for the evening. It is a beautiful, elegant, and updated take on a typical farm wedding. There are a few beautiful areas for ceremony options and the cocktail hour space by the barn has the backdrop of the mountains. The options for picture spots for the photographer were endless! Sue, Michael, and the rest of the staff were incredible starting from planning and through execution. They are always 10 steps ahead and have thought of everything. They have wonderful recommendations for all vendors (tent, catering, linens, bathrooms, bar staff, etc) and offer packages, if preferred. They make everything easy for you and bring such a beautiful energy of sharing their incredible property with you and your guests. There are a few decent-sized towns nearby for your guests and planning needs. I cannot recommend this venue enough for an intimate, beautifully elegant Vermont farm wedding.
The Perfect Day
Once the reception starts they are around to help and serve, but allow you and your guests to dance and party as long as the small VT town allows (they also adhere to the 10pm curfew set by the town) but offer a quaint after party experience for those who are staying at the farmhouse (5 rooms available) by the fire to wind the night down.
All in all we couldn't imagine a better day. We still are in contact with WBF and Fran even after the wedding as they truly become friends past your special day.
