The Suffolk Theater is a vintage wedding venue located in Riverhead, New York. It was originally built in 1933 and lovingly restored in 2013. In recent years the theatre was transformed into an Art Deco cinema space with a full-service performing arts center. As soon as we walked into The Suffolk Theatre, we both knew that was where we were going to get married. Being theatre industry professionals ourselves, we had a specific vibe we wanted for our wedding and this place could not have been more perfect. Not only was the classic and unique aesthetic exactly right for the romantic and whimsical wedding we were planning, but the staff and technicians working with us this last year, run as tight of a ship as any theatre we have ever worked for. Our venue coordinator, Kristen, is even more organized than even my own type-A little heart. You are in good hands with her running your “show.” She is thorough, detailed, and truly gave us the sense that she was just as invested in the success of the day as we were. We’re still fielding comments from our bridal party about just how stellar Kristen was and how she managed to make one of the most stressful days of our lives flow so smoothly. Kristen is a multi-tasking, organized, accessible, sweet, and professional all-star. The venue is insanely flexible with your requests, whether it be catering, decor, bar requirements, etc. If you have a specific idea, just ask. They bent over backwards to help us find a plan that was right for us. And we are STILL getting compliments about the food. Book this venue. Seriously. From start to finish, we never doubted if we had made the right choice.

I would have my wedding here again and again.
I cannot put into words how amazing everything turned out for our wedding day. Kristen and her team are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Kristen is such a sweet heart, honest, and professional. Her goal is to make you have the best time of your life and have your vision come alive which her and her team did just that. The Suffolk team are easy to communicate with and always get back to you quickly. To this day, our family and friends still talk about our wedding and say it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to; between the attentive staff service, the scenic theatre and the close proximity to attractions and lodging, it was a perfect venue for a weekend for our friends and family. I HIGHLY recommend the Suffolk Theater and down the road L, I would love to have an out her party there.

The Suffolk Theater is Amazing!
Our wedding in May 2019 was truly an unforgettable evening that was only possible due to the hard work of Kristen and the amazing staff at the Suffolk Theater. They were so organized and easy to work with that we didn't even need a wedding planner. The venue is stunning and made our wedding such a unique experience. We do not have one single regret down to the last detail, all of which were executed to perfection. Even our name in lights outside the theater greeting our guests was such a cool touch. If you plan to have a band, the theater is ideal and sounds beyond great. The food was catered by Noah's in Greenport and was delicious. We had a tasting weeks before to nail down the menu. Everything, and I mean everything was top notch!

Unique, Beyond Perfect, A Dream Come True!
If you are looking for a venue for your wedding day do yourself a favor and look into the Suffolk Theater. I married my husband here on 9/7/19 and that day was beyond perfect. One of the main reasons for the day's perfection was the staff at the Suffolk Theater. Kristen’s organized ingenuity made the day run seamlessly! During all the months planning our special day, the theater staff was the most accommodating, caring, attentive people and it was a pleasure working with them all. I had a vision for my wedding day and the production team brought it to life. We had around 200 guests attending and I know that at at least one point in the night we had everyone on the dance floor with no issues at all! This space lends itself so beautifully to a wedding of any size. Our guests complimented the production quality, the wait staff/bartenders and the food! OMG the food! Chef Noah absolutely blew us out of the water with his assorted cocktail hour menu, his dinner entrees and the pass around desserts. If I had to do the day all over again (and I wish I could!) I wouldn’t change a thing. Because of the Suffolk Theater, I was able to have my dream wedding.

Amazing Experience
We had the great fortune of getting married at the Suffolk Theater and I feel so lucky that we chose this gem of a venue. The space is stunning, the food was great and It cannot be overstated how wonderful the production team and staff are. Kristen, the director of events, went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was what we had envisioned. Leading up to the event we had wonderful communication with Kristen and the day of the wedding we felt looked after and cared for. It was apparent that Kristen truly wanted us to have a perfect day, and we did!
Our wedding was the best (and most fun) day of our lives and we could not have asked for a better venue than the Suffolk Theater.

Best most unique wedding venue people are still talking about it!
Suffolk Theater went from an untouchable dream to a dream come true. We saw pictures online and hoped and prayed we could get into this amazing theater for our wedding. At our first tour of the venue, we signed the papers. It was everything my husband And I could have asked for. I have a love for anything historic and my husband works in the film business and loves film and theater. This theater was originally built in the 1930’s and recently restored to its glory.
Our venue coordinator, Kristen, went above and beyond for us. She was attentive, passionate and above all else a good person. That’s the one thing you want on your wedding day is a good person who understands how much this day means.
The production team and staff were all so amazing. They executed every detail we asked for and even built upon our ideas. The night was an unforgettable night and we couldn’t imagine spending the most special day of our lives anywhere else but the Suffolk Theater.

Absolutely beautiful venue, Exceptional and Professional Staff!
I don't know where to begin to describe how absolutely beautiful my daughter's wedding was. It was everything she had hoped for x 100. From the moment my daughter Sam saw the venue she knew it was what she wanted, but nothing could prepare her for the way it actually turned out, breathtaking. Kristen is an amazing person. She is super organized, super professional and does not miss ONE beat. She is the conductor in the symphony. With her you do not need to worry about anything. She listens to everything you say and will create the magic you dream of and then some. We will be forever grateful to her and the staff for their dedication and hard work. We miss her already! Jamie and his production team are top notch and can handle anything you ask. The bartenders and wait staff are fantastic! They were extremely attentive to everyone. Special note about Jennifer, she was an absolute love, super sweet, kind, attentive, all around just Great. Our guests could not stop complimenting the food (thank you Noah!!!!), the drinks, the staff, the service, the venue....My baby girl's wedding was beyond INCREDIBLE thanks to this wonderful team of great people. If you're looking for an experience of a lifetime and memories beyond compare Suffolk Theater, Kristen and the Team will make your dream come true.

My daughter had the privilege of getting married at this outstanding venue. From the moment we walked in to meet Nicole Evers, the event coordinator, the entire experience could not have been better. Nicole was supremely professional, flexible, willing to accomodate the ideas of my daughter and son-in-law, available to patiently answer each and every question, provided many of her own outstanding suggestions, ran the event flawlessly, and just made the entire event unforgettable. The venue itself was spectacular and I can't tell you how many people told me it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I cannot recommend Ms. Evers and this venue more strongly. It was magical.

Where do I even begin to start reviewing this magical, amazing place that I was lucky enough to have my wedding at last week?! From the moment I stumbled across The Suffolk Theater's website, I knew it was the perfect place for me and my now husband, John, to get married in. We're both creative and couldn't picture having our wedding at some stuffy old catering hall. From the moment I walked into The Suffolk Theater in person, I was blown away by it's beauty and how truly, every single detail has been meticulously restored. Meeting and working with Nicole Evers, the event director, was the highlight of the entire process and I could NOT, absolutely could not have have pulled off this wedding of close to 200 people without her. I cannot say enough good things about how organized, calming, amazing, smart, creative, and nice she is! She left no detail un-turned and was by my side the entire time to make sure everything was going smoothly. I also cannot sing enough the praises of the entire production team, including Chip and Clutch, who were AMAZING at what they do and delivered a truly awe inspiring event. Not to mention Reverend Lynn Ann, who wrote a beautiful, thoughtful, and incredibly touching ceremony for John and I - she genuinely delivered the exact ceremony we wanted that was true to who we are all, and Reverend Lynn is an amazing person who I feel blessed to have met. Now onto the party...the food, the drinks! Where to even begin! The food was a massive hit, a huge rarity at most weddings, and the drinks were flowing in generous amounts. I just cannot express how thrilled I am with how the entire wedding turned out and I am eternally grateful to the entire staff at The Suffolk Theater for making this wedding so memorable, incredible, and hard to top. Every guest has indicated weddings will probably suck to attend after this one. Thank you to ALL for making my day truly amazing, and thank you to Nicole for helping me plan it all and execute it flawlessly!!!

My husband and I had a spectacular wedding at the Suffolk Theater. Every detail from the ceremony to dessert was planned with incredible detail with the help of Nicole Evers who acted as our right-hand woman. She helped us to stay super organized and keep the timeline on track as well as communicated with all of the vendors for us; it made things much less stressful on our part. If you're looking for a unique venue that's totally not run-of-the-mill, definitely check this place out. So many guests asked "How did you find this place?!" in awe. We also heard how memorable the wedding was because of how beautiful and intriguing the space is. My only complaints would be that I wish we could have tasted the food prior to the day of and also, unfortunately, they ran out of white wine towards the end day (I guess we had a lot of winos) but their huge craft beer selection made up for it. Some highlights: the bride/bridesmaids had an awesome dressing room backstage, the movie screen which you can use for whatever you'd like, the details of the design of the space (make sure your photographer captures these!).
