I don't know where to begin to describe how absolutely beautiful my daughter's wedding was. It was everything she had hoped for x 100. From the moment my daughter Sam saw the venue she knew it was what she wanted, but nothing could prepare her for the way it actually turned out, breathtaking. Kristen is an amazing person. She is super organized, super professional and does not miss ONE beat. She is the conductor in the symphony. With her you do not need to worry about anything. She listens to everything you say and will create the magic you dream of and then some. We will be forever grateful to her and the staff for their dedication and hard work. We miss her already! Jamie and his production team are top notch and can handle anything you ask. The bartenders and wait staff are fantastic! They were extremely attentive to everyone. Special note about Jennifer, she was an absolute love, super sweet, kind, attentive, all around just Great. Our guests could not stop complimenting the food (thank you Noah!!!!), the drinks, the staff, the service, the venue....My baby girl's wedding was beyond INCREDIBLE thanks to this wonderful team of great people. If you're looking for an experience of a lifetime and memories beyond compare Suffolk Theater, Kristen and the Team will make your dream come true.

I cannot put into words how amazing everything turned out for our wedding day. Kristen and her team are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Kristen is such a sweet heart, honest, and professional. Her goal is to make you have the best time of your life and have your vision come alive which her and her team did just that. The Suffolk team are easy to communicate with and always get back to you quickly. To this day, our family and friends still talk about our wedding and say it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to; between the attentive staff service, the scenic theatre and the close proximity to attractions and lodging, it was a perfect venue for a weekend for our friends and family. I HIGHLY recommend the Suffolk Theater and down the road L, I would love to have an out her party there.

If you are looking for a venue for your wedding day do yourself a favor and look into the Suffolk Theater. I married my husband here on 9/7/19 and that day was beyond perfect. One of the main reasons for the day's perfection was the staff at the Suffolk Theater. Kristen’s organized ingenuity made the day run seamlessly! During all the months planning our special day, the theater staff was the most accommodating, caring, attentive people and it was a pleasure working with them all. I had a vision for my wedding day and the production team brought it to life. We had around 200 guests attending and I know that at at least one point in the night we had everyone on the dance floor with no issues at all! This space lends itself so beautifully to a wedding of any size. Our guests complimented the production quality, the wait staff/bartenders and the food! OMG the food! Chef Noah absolutely blew us out of the water with his assorted cocktail hour menu, his dinner entrees and the pass around desserts. If I had to do the day all over again (and I wish I could!) I wouldn’t change a thing. Because of the Suffolk Theater, I was able to have my dream wedding.

We had the great fortune of getting married at the Suffolk Theater and I feel so lucky that we chose this gem of a venue. The space is stunning, the food was great and It cannot be overstated how wonderful the production team and staff are. Kristen, the director of events, went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was what we had envisioned. Leading up to the event we had wonderful communication with Kristen and the day of the wedding we felt looked after and cared for. It was apparent that Kristen truly wanted us to have a perfect day, and we did!

Our wedding was the best (and most fun) day of our lives and we could not have asked for a better venue than the Suffolk Theater.

Our wedding in May 2019 was truly an unforgettable evening that was only possible due to the hard work of Kristen and the amazing staff at the Suffolk Theater. They were so organized and easy to work with that we didn't even need a wedding planner. The venue is stunning and made our wedding such a unique experience. We do not have one single regret down to the last detail, all of which were executed to perfection. Even our name in lights outside the theater greeting our guests was such a cool touch. If you plan to have a band, the theater is ideal and sounds beyond great. The food was catered by Noah's in Greenport and was delicious. We had a tasting weeks before to nail down the menu. Everything, and I mean everything was top notch!

Suffolk Theater went from an untouchable dream to a dream come true. We saw pictures online and hoped and prayed we could get into this amazing theater for our wedding. At our first tour of the venue, we signed the papers. It was everything my husband And I could have asked for. I have a love for anything historic and my husband works in the film business and loves film and theater. This theater was originally built in the 1930’s and recently restored to its glory.
Our venue coordinator, Kristen, went above and beyond for us. She was attentive, passionate and above all else a good person. That’s the one thing you want on your wedding day is a good person who understands how much this day means.
The production team and staff were all so amazing. They executed every detail we asked for and even built upon our ideas. The night was an unforgettable night and we couldn’t imagine spending the most special day of our lives anywhere else but the Suffolk Theater.

Where do I even begin to start reviewing this magical, amazing place that I was lucky enough to have my wedding at last week?! From the moment I stumbled across The Suffolk Theater's website, I knew it was the perfect place for me and my now husband, John, to get married in. We're both creative and couldn't picture having our wedding at some stuffy old catering hall. From the moment I walked into The Suffolk Theater in person, I was blown away by it's beauty and how truly, every single detail has been meticulously restored. Meeting and working with Nicole Evers, the event director, was the highlight of the entire process and I could NOT, absolutely could not have have pulled off this wedding of close to 200 people without her. I cannot say enough good things about how organized, calming, amazing, smart, creative, and nice she is! She left no detail un-turned and was by my side the entire time to make sure everything was going smoothly. I also cannot sing enough the praises of the entire production team, including Chip and Clutch, who were AMAZING at what they do and delivered a truly awe inspiring event. Not to mention Reverend Lynn Ann, who wrote a beautiful, thoughtful, and incredibly touching ceremony for John and I - she genuinely delivered the exact ceremony we wanted that was true to who we are all, and Reverend Lynn is an amazing person who I feel blessed to have met. Now onto the party...the food, the drinks! Where to even begin! The food was a massive hit, a huge rarity at most weddings, and the drinks were flowing in generous amounts. I just cannot express how thrilled I am with how the entire wedding turned out and I am eternally grateful to the entire staff at The Suffolk Theater for making this wedding so memorable, incredible, and hard to top. Every guest has indicated weddings will probably suck to attend after this one. Thank you to ALL for making my day truly amazing, and thank you to Nicole for helping me plan it all and execute it flawlessly!!!

My daughter had the privilege of getting married at this outstanding venue. From the moment we walked in to meet Nicole Evers, the event coordinator, the entire experience could not have been better. Nicole was supremely professional, flexible, willing to accomodate the ideas of my daughter and son-in-law, available to patiently answer each and every question, provided many of her own outstanding suggestions, ran the event flawlessly, and just made the entire event unforgettable. The venue itself was spectacular and I can't tell you how many people told me it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I cannot recommend Ms. Evers and this venue more strongly. It was magical.

I had my wedding at the Suffolk theater this past Saturday. From the second we walked into this beautiful venue last year we knew it was the one for us. We wanted something different then your run of the mill catering hall, but we also didn't want the responsibility of transforming a totally diy space. The Suffolk theater gave us the best of both worlds. We were able to work with their amazing production team (shout out to Chip and Clutch!) to add personal details that we came up with, but still had the comfort of knowing every wedding detail was being taken care of by the staff. Speaking of the production team, I cannot say enough about their abilities and creativity. From the sound they got out of the band, the lighting, the videos they put together for the projection screen, just EVERYTHING! They are so professional and you can rest easy knowing your day is in great hands (let them use their creativity and have fun, I promise you won't be disappointed). The venue in itself was so unique and every guest was blown away the entire evening. It was amazing to see people just walking around and exploring every detail. And last but absolutely not least, the event coordinator Nicole Evers is an absolute gem. I don't even think gem is a strong enough word for what she brings to this venue. She helped us from day one create a day neither of us would forget. She meticulously planned out our entire day and not a detail was left out. She was a calming presence throughout the whole experience and process and encouraged us to be ourselves and express our creativity. She helped us come up with ideas that both complimented the space and its history, as well as our story. I would honestly get married in a dump if I knew she was the event coordinator there. I feel so lucky to be able to call her a friend after all of this! If you want to have an amazing wedding put your trust into this team of people. They will not let you down.

My husband and I had a spectacular wedding at the Suffolk Theater. Every detail from the ceremony to dessert was planned with incredible detail with the help of Nicole Evers who acted as our right-hand woman. She helped us to stay super organized and keep the timeline on track as well as communicated with all of the vendors for us; it made things much less stressful on our part. If you're looking for a unique venue that's totally not run-of-the-mill, definitely check this place out. So many guests asked "How did you find this place?!" in awe. We also heard how memorable the wedding was because of how beautiful and intriguing the space is. My only complaints would be that I wish we could have tasted the food prior to the day of and also, unfortunately, they ran out of white wine towards the end day (I guess we had a lot of winos) but their huge craft beer selection made up for it. Some highlights: the bride/bridesmaids had an awesome dressing room backstage, the movie screen which you can use for whatever you'd like, the details of the design of the space (make sure your photographer captures these!).

Working with Nicole thus far has been a wonderful experience. She is very flexible, knowledgeable & enthusiastic. We are looking forward to the upcoming months and to having our wedding here in February!

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Suffolk Theater in December 2015. When we first walked in to see the theater we were immediately impressed with the authentic art deco décor and atmosphere in the room. We looked at many different possible wedding venues in Suffolk County and the only one that was truly outstanding to me was the Suffolk Theater. What really finalized our decision to have the wedding at the theater was our meeting with the private event coordinator Nicole Evers. Nicole made us feel that our wedding could be a truly special event and that she was going to ensure that our vision became reality. Nicole helped us through every step of the planning process. She had interesting ideas and she knows how to get the most out of what the theater has to offer. Nicole made us feel like our wedding was the most important event that she had ever coordinated. Every last detail was planned in advance and there were no surprises on the day of the wedding. The fact that it is an operating performing arts theater provides you with unlimited possibilities. We were able to work directly with the theater technical staff to personalize every detail of the day. Some of the special touches that were added included: our names up on the theater marquee and a photo montage was projected onto the theater sized screen during dinner. The wedding ceremony itself was personal, warm and expertly officiated by Lynn Kolesar who also works at the theater. She helped us craft a most thoughtful and touching wedding ceremony which took place in the spotlight on the stage. The lighting and sound quality was perfect.Two other areas that were very important to us were the quality of the food and the bar. Both of these exceeded our expectations.The bar was without question the best bar that we have ever seen at a wedding. I want to thank Nicole Evers, Kaitlyn Ferris, DJ Phil, Lynn Kolesar, the technical staff, the chef and the wait staff!

My new husband John and I would like to formally thank everyone at the Suffolk Theater for giving us the most perfect, personal and unique wedding. The service was outstanding-the servers couldn't have been more helpful. Brianna was a particular help to me. She went above and beyond her duties to make sure I was taken care of in every possible way. The food was delicious. Everything I tasted was delightful-Thank you to Chef Bernie who also went beyond simply creating and cooking. The lighting and our unique audio-visual requests (like our opening song video and especially our metal Slayer first introduction complete with lightning storm!) were all beautifully performed by Clutch, Chip and the AV team.

The shining star of the night was Nicole Evers, the Director of Private Events. She is a talented, organized and caring professional. I felt safe the moment she took on the position and began handling our wedding. She thought of and executed EVERYTHING. She coordinated outside vendors, helped me brainstorm, listened to and calmed my fears, and ultimately visualized and produced the absolute wedding of our dreams.

I know we're biased, but we thought our's was the best, most beautifully unique wedding ever that exceeded all expectations. The theater's charm, vintage beauty and staff truly made an impression on us. We will never forget our special day at the Suffolk Theater!!

This venue is simply amazing. Kristen was phenomenal. But unfortunately the price was over our budget. Kristen was very quick to respond to any questions and to even set up a private tour after hours (due to our work schedules). This place is not your average wedding venue, but a must see for long island brides.

With a heavy heart I write this, We did not have our dream wedding here. Maybe it’s more CoVid’s fault than the venue, but I think the Theater just was not ready to host private events again. Our wedding was unique for sure, and our guests liked the old fashioned theater but our night did not run smoothly from the moment we stepped into the space from cocktail hour till our last dance. The place is so staff dependent that without one crucial individual- present and “running the show”, everything folds like a house of cards. An event cannot rest solely on one person so the theater needs to get a better action plan in place, or not over-promise and underdeliver.
Communication is lacking- excuse CoVid.
+\- Kristen was as responsive as someone would/could be when the place was not officially open. Without our confidence in her and her abilities, we would have explored other options. TIP: Hire your own planner or day of coordinator in addition to what the theater offers because the rest of the team on site there at the theater will not execute your plans other than when it is time for the guests to get fed based on my experience.
In fairness, the theater furloughed their team, then the theater sat empty for months until they were allowed to return-open but frankly THEY were not ready-to host our wedding, and did not seem like they knew what they were doing at all. Perhaps without the regularity of events there, you do not get the same service you would at a banquet hall that does multiple weddings and I am judging them harshly. Perhaps! Maybe we were the just the lucky couple that the “ball got dropped on” due to unforeseen circumstances. I can only cite some of the missteps that occurred so you can go into contract with your eyes open and hopefully more prepared.
Highlight: The first look held on the stage was done nicely and was the only thing that was executed by Kristen, our event coordinator working there. (In retrospect though, backlit by a spotlight all the photos taken by the photographer are all of the backside of the bride.) Unfortunately after the first look, the night went off the rails which made for a very stressful night!
Guests waited in the rain when doors were supposed to open. Guests were not given a program ( containing their seating assignment) upon entry. * They didn’t know about them, once told by the groom who was asked where do we sit by guests, the staff were quick to find and deliver into guests hands and to put up the slide on the screen. The staff “guessed” where decor items went and did not follow the event plan instructions given in advance. We paid extra for a tech package and they failed to execute the cues of the “run of show”. Even though there were a few practice rehearsals, cues were missed, curtains closed and We had to argue with a stagehand on when to open/close the curtain. Thank goodness the lighting plot was pre-programmed prior to the departure of a staff member, because the ambiance lighting was right. Not all of the tables were pin-spotted as requested which I believe was another detail that was missed but paid for. Promises in the “sale” process changed with the excuse “CoVid”. In particular- with their on site caterer Noah (which is changing?) Menu options that were shared on a sample event menu- were not made available to chose. Many choices that were advertised as standards became upsell options or were no longer offered citing CoVid food scarcity as the reason. Servers serving pork, when paid extra for duck or they didn’t know what it was they were indeed serving. (If the caterer had signs in the stations this would have corrected this issue.) Guests flow right to their dining tables during cocktail hour and do not really use the upper balcony space (save money on decorations there.) The bride-groom meals got plated without them being there to eat a hot meal, had to flag down a server to ask for a piece of wedding cake- I guess they really thought we cut our own slices. Not once did a server actually wait on the bride-groom. No Bridal attendant offered- but if there was one, never saw. Although the bride was able to get one plate of appetizers during cocktail hour from a server after that never saw her again. Many of our guests said that their food from Noah’s was tasty but often cold or not cooked to their specifications. Several of our personal belongings went missing and many were returned damaged. They have yet to return our many messages and calls on the whereabouts of said items. One large item supplied to their care and was not returned is our cake stand. Marquee had our name on it but only after *many ads and many of the lights were out in the sign. You would think with the money being paid to host the night, you could show the couple’s names often and more prominently. We never got any pictures with our name in the background because it cycled thru so many advertisements first, we simply couldn’t wait for it. Perk(s): You can use your own vendors except catering and tech.
Great stage if you plan to use live music. The band has a back of house area they can take breaks in. The DJ (used most often there- Marty ) is good and has lots of “extras” you can pay for that were a saving grace. His use sparklers which we needed to get approval for and we had to pay extra for fireguards* were totally worth it to make up for the missing cues.
If you are theatrical, lots of aspects can be tailored. Posters, gobos, lighting, use of big screen but all at your expense and effort.
If you have the energy to DIY, with a disposable income to pay for extras and to supply items like menu cards, programs/seating ‘cards’, decor, etc. and can run around at your own wedding- your guests will really enjoy the uniqueness of space. We are blessed that our guests were not aware of the list of issues that occurred. However, I really needed a vacation from the experience. Furthermore I am disappointed that as I write this - a month later we still haven’t heard back on the missing items.

Such a horrible experience. We tried to book this venue for 2 months straight after falling in love with it online. Took over a month to get a tour and then they ghosted us for another month. We decided to make the drive out there and talk in person where they proceeded to quote us 4x the price that we were originally told. We didn’t even get a chance to tell them no before they canceled another meeting with us. Don’t waste your time, no venue is pretty enough for that migraine. Delayed my entire wedding planning progress.
