The Ideal Wedding Venue

The Seneca Ridge
Long story short, Alexandra and Michael have not only created the perfect venue for a wedding, but also have the knowledge, experience, and attitudes to make any wedding perfect.

We used the house on-site the morning of to get ready and take photos. It was breathtakingly beautiful and had everything we needed for a comfortable, fun morning with our bridal parties. The ceremony site was stunning and so well put together. Their barn was a lovely venue for cocktail hour - spacious enough to fit everyone comfortably but not so big as to not be cozy - and the Sailcloth Tent was elegantly decorated for the reception. All in all, the spaces were absolutely beautiful and full of unique details and character.

Although we first fell in love with the venue itself, we can’t say enough good things about Alexandra and Michael - truly the best pair we could have had in our corner for our wedding day. We would have booked our wedding in a high school gym just to have them as planners and coordinators. They not only ensured that our day ran smoothly and stress-free by engaging with us for the last 90 days up to our event date, but they genuinely made us feel welcome and cared for. Every time we spoke with Alexandra before the wedding, no matter how stressed we were, we left the phone call feeling at ease. She and Michael helped us bring our dream day to life, and we truly couldn’t have done it without them. Every vendor they recommended was wonderful, and Alexandra was there every step of the way to answer questions - from logistics to general best practices.

We adore them both, and the Seneca Ridge, so much. GET MARRIED HERE!!

Choosing The Seneca Ridge was the best decision we made

To put it simply: book this venue. We just had our wedding at The Seneca Ridge, and could not be happier with our experience. The best piece of advice I have for anyone planning an event is to hire people you genuinely like and feel supported by – and that is exactly what we found in The Seneca Ridge. The owners (Alexandra and Michael), the venue manager (Allie), and the entire staff are such kind, passionate, and dedicated people who make everything run flawlessly and will go above and beyond to take good care of their couples. We felt a true connection with all of them from our very first visit, and choosing them was the single best decision we made. They are consummate professionals with incredible recommendations for other vendors in the industry, and really deliver a personalized experience – we never felt like we were “just another wedding.” (On top of that, they are also a TON of fun and make amazing signature cocktails!). Beyond the fantastic team, the venue itself is absolutely stunning. We continue to hear amazing feedback from our guests, and loved staying at the house on the premises – it made for gorgeous getting ready photos and really simplified logistics for us. To the entire staff at The Seneca Ridge: we are so thankful for you and can’t wait to watch your continued success. All our love, Molly & Kevin

Stunning venue!

Long post warning! The Seneca Ridge is AMAZING!!! It is the most stunningly beautiful venue and has the most attentive, hardworking, incredible staff that goes above and beyond to make the wedding of your dreams come to life.

Our wedding day was hands down the best day of our lives, thanks to Alexandra, Michael (the owners) and Allie (the manager). They are so sweet and down to earth. Even though the venue is new, they've been in the industry a while and are very experienced with weddings. Their passion for weddings comes through! They worked so hard alongside our day of coordinator and other vendors to make our wedding day go off without a hitch.

Cocktail hour in the renovated barn was a huge hit! Our guests loved mingling under the string lights and hanging out on the patio right outside the barn. Even though it was a hot, humid 90 degree day, our guests stayed cool with the fans and the breeze that goes through the barn. We chose two signature drinks and they turned out soooo delicious, and the Seneca Ridge bar staff even had real basil and mint plants lined up at the bar to use for garnishes! They also have a really nice selection of local beers and wines.

Our reception in the sailcloth tent was by far the most amazing part of our day. It really is a blank slate that can be customized to fit whatever your style is! For us that meant decorating the bistro lights with hanging greenery, using bright florals and gold decor as centerpieces, and putting white linens with blue accents on their tables. We also had a DJ, photo booth and live painter and they all fit comfortably in the space along with our 110 guests. Whatever your vision is, the Seneca Ridge staff will make it come to life. I'm so excited to see how future couples decorate this space!

The tent sits on a beautiful field that overlooks the hills leading down to Seneca lake. You get the perfect sunset views and lighting. So many of our guests took such nice pictures they look professional!

The reception was such a blast, but the end of the night is always sad. No problem at Seneca Ridge because you can just walk 30 ft back to the barn for an after party! We stayed for an extra hour and had a dance party with our college friends (best part of the night if you ask them).

We also stayed overnight at the onsite accommodation with a couple of our friends. It is a charming older home from the 1800's that has been BEAUTIFULLY updated with modern finishes. The lighting in there is soooo good for pictures everyone kept commenting on it. It was so convenient to stay there and made the rehearsal and the morning of the wedding so relaxing and fun. Waking up on your wedding day and looking out the window to see your ceremony space set up with the arch and chairs is the most surreal experience ever. And of course at the end of the night when our reception ended it was super convenient to just walk back over to the house and not have to worry about transportation. I HIGHLY recommend staying overnight here if you get married at Seneca Ridge it is absolutely worth it.

We had such a fun wedding and got so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the venue was. From butterflies fluttering around the tent to the dreamy sunset views, this is hands down the most beautiful venue in upstate NY.

TLDR: book Seneca Ridge!!!!!

Awesome team, beautiful views, and a great venue

We could not have better things to say about the Seneca Ridge team following our wedding weekend. Alexandra and Michael (the owners) and Allie (the venue manager) were all organized, accommodating, kind and fun to work with! We stayed at the property Friday and Saturday night (the wedding was Saturday) and had our rehearsal, the ceremony and reception (130 people with plenty of room to spare), and a morning after brunch all on site. Even though this is a new venue, everything ran super smooth and was handled in a professional manner. Between the Seneca Ridge team and our day-of wedding planner, there were seriously zero mishaps during the wedding leaving us free to enjoy the beautiful backdrop and our guests.

Speaking of the backdrop, we had an amazing sunset over Seneca Lake. With Alexandra and Michael as wedding photographers, it is clear that a lot of thought went into creating photo opportunities. Our wedding photographers raved about the perfect light created by the sail cloth tent. The inside of the house is also tastefully decorated (again great for photos) and was a perfect spot to get ready and hang out with our wedding party.

We will highly recommend Seneca Ridge to anyone willing to ask. Several of our guests are calling our wedding the highlight of the summer. It certainly was one of the highlights of our lives. Thank you Alexandra, Michael and Allie! We are rooting for you guys and look forward to visiting again!
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
