Poplar Hill is a rustic, elegant barn wedding venue on the border of Orchard Park and East Aurora, NY. Situated on 26 acres of manicured lawns and flower beds, our historic venue gives you unparalleled space, privacy and flexibility so you can create your own world on your wedding day. Family owned and operated, we see Poplar Hill not just as a venue, but as a place of intimacy, new memories, and new beginnings. We aim to bring that same spirit to your event.

Our Venue

Brides prepare for their ceremony in the Carriage House, which we’ve converted into a bridal suite. Complete with living room, full-bath, kitchen, and hair-and-makeup stations, the Carriage House can accommodate virtually any size of bridal party. We’ve converted the former grooming stables into our Grooms’ Den, a lounge with a bar, flat screen, half-bath, dartboard, and outdoor fire pit.

We focus your wedding ceremony around an exposed wood post-and-beam arbor and can comfortably seat up to 200 guests. We encourage you to decorate the arbor and configure the ceremony space to best suit your vision. We also have an indoor arbor and ceremony space for rain insurance.

For your reception dinner, we offer a 2400 sq. ft. luxury high-top tent with professional lighting, handmade Amish farm tables and chairs, and tabletop decor including chandeliers, ivory runners, bud vases, table numbers and votive candles.

The reception centers around our 3000 sq. ft. barn, which accommodates the dance floor, hayloft lounges, three-sided bar, prep kitchen, three bathrooms (one wheelchair accessible), aforementioned Groom's Den, and smoking balcony. The interior of the barn retains its original woodwork and showcases our in-house professional lighting, including fairy lights at the floor line, uplights, string lights along the rafters, and a 40" multicolor LED disco ball. The original barn floor has been preserved and refinished, retaining all its rustic character without sacrificing luxury or practicality.

Moving outside, Poplar Hill takes full advantage of its natural setting to give you and your guests countless photo opportunities and places to relax. The new front steps by the main entrance of the mansion provides a great backdrop for group photos. Our lawn games, swings, and outdoor seating areas create an atmosphere of play and celebration. We have ample parking, a drop-off and pickup loop in front of the mansion, and your guests are more than welcome (even encouraged) to leave their cars and pick them up the next day by noon if they've had a little too much fun.
