A beautiful venue within budget

This is an event facility owned by the city of Round Rock, it’s extremely budget friendly. The only pain was that we had to provide our own table linens, but I bought some on Facebook Marketplace funnily enough from someone else who also had their wedding at the Rabb House. It was a challenge to clean and iron them so many of them and store them without creating too many wrinkles, but it worked out. The venue provides plenty of tables and chairs. There is a little amphitheater out back of the venue where we had our ceremony. It was 90 degrees at 5:30pm that day, so plan accordingly. Only one side of the amphitheater gets shade. One drawback is they restrict DJs and bands to plugging into the venue’s overhead speaker system and do not allow any additional speakers. It was fine for us, because we’re not loud party people, but I know some DJs who are not a fan of it. Definitely go for the extra rehearsal time the day before your event. They allow you to set up everything inside and leave it overnight. Saved us so much stress on the day.

DIY - No "Fine Print"

The Rabb House is perfect for those looking for a truly DIY affordable indoor / outdoor venue. They allow you to bring your own food and drinks, without requiring any licensing to serve, or extra security or insurance, as other venues hide in their fine print. Plenty of tables and chairs are provided. They have a prep kitchen, refrigerator, ice maker, and audio-visual system. Staff were hands-off but adequately helpful.

Wedding Venue

The Rabb House was beautiful for our December wedding. The creek running behind the amphitheater was so pretty with the trees overhanging. Texas winter means the leaves are changing color & my gosh, was it stunning. There was plenty of room for our guests to eat and dance without having to rearrange tables etc. I was satisfied with the process of booking the venue - very easy and stress free. We opted for the cleaning service after the event because it just made sense, and they were so helpful. Beautiful location!

The Rabb house provides an excellent venue for both ceremony and reception for a large amount of guests. We had about 150 guests give or take, whom we sat downstairs with no space issues. The upstairs area was used for our dance floor, dessert table, photo booth, and additional seating for guests during the reception. We did have some rainy conditions during the ceremony and into the dinner portion of the reception, but everyone was able to stay nice and dry while seated on the first floor. They also have a convenient elevator for both vendor and guest use! For the price, 12 hours for $1,500.00 (Round Rock resident rate), plus a $500 refundable deposit, no other venues could touch the value. We loved the amphitheater and the wrap around porch area, as did our guests! All in all we were extremely happy with our choice to rent the Rabb House. We loved our venue and would happily recommend it to couples looking for a more affordable option for large and small weddings.

Great venue with options for indoor and/or outdoor space. Beautiful wrap around balcony and wood floors. Kitchen area was helpful. Projectors were nice. Rented venue for all day for a wedding but couldn't enter the site until noon unless I wanted to pay hourly to start earlier (all day was for 12 hours- noon to midnight). That was inconvenient. I believe it was because the City of Round Rock had a security guard in the office for every hour we paid for the venue. We were asked to turn the music down late in the evening due to the neighborhood close by but all we had to do is close the floor to ceiling window/doors that wrapped the balcony. City of Round Rock was very prompt in returning our deposit after. Overall, it was a great value and we received compliments from our guests about the place.

Beautiful Venue But Many Hoops to Jump Through

The Rabb House is a beautiful, affordable venue and the perfect size for a 50-80 person wedding. The only catch is that it's a parks and recreation facility, so you must deal with the government. Set tour times of Wednesday evening and Thursday morning only. Park rangers are your day-of contacts. If you've got the patience to deal with all this and DIY is your thing, this is a great place, just don't expect a full-service experience.
