Facilities & Capacity
With breathtaking coastal scenery and versatile indoor and outdoor event spaces, The Portofino Hotel & Marina provides the ideal backdrop for weddings of every style and size. Couples can exchange vows aboard the elegant El Rey Catamaran for a truly unique on-the-water ceremony accommodating up to 50 guests. For romantic sunset ceremonies and receptions, the Seaside Lawn offers panoramic ocean views and space for up to 200 guests.
The Bayside Ballroom features floor-to-ceiling oceanfront windows, sophisticated coastal décor and room for up to 300 guests to dine and dance the night away. For more intimate celebrations, the Pacific Ballroom & Terrace accommodates up to 150 guests and includes a private balcony overlooking the marina and Pacific Ocean.

We left another venue for Portofino and it was the best decision we made
My couple already had a signed contract at another venue nearby. We only came to Portofino for a hotel room block for their out of town guests. That's it. But from the very first email and phone call with Brittany, her grace, responsiveness and hospitality shined through. We were welcomed with open arms.
So I did something risky. I advised my couple to forgo their previous contract with a venue that was not valuing their business anyway, and take a chance on Portofino.
Here's what I was afraid of. Some places change up their attitude when they're trying to win your business versus after you sign and pay. Brittany and her team never did. They were accommodating, hands on, transparent, responsive and genuinely kind to my couple, their guests, and my event design team. I actually thanked God for them multiple times throughout this experience, because it was clearly divine.
Amanda and Diana were right there through every stage of prep. Luis and the catering team executed flawlessly. Our ceremony was on the Seaside Lawn and reception in the Pacific Ballroom, and every transition was seamless.
And what started as a one day wedding turned into an all inclusive vacation for our guests flying in from St. Louis. They didn't just attend a wedding. They got a getaway.
If you're a couple or a fellow planner looking for a venue with five star quality at reasonable prices, this is it. Ask for Brittany.

We had our wedding in the summer of 2024. This wedding venue is breathtaking; elegant and sophisticated. Ocean view ceremony with white/ gold chiavari chairs and the ballroom has an impressive view towards the ocean and marina!
Rain Villanueva, the catering sales manager was an absolute gem! He took care of every detail, basically orchestrating the entire wedding with ease and precision.
All of our guests were mesmerized with the amazing experience from start to finish!
The quality of the food and alcoholic drinks were beyond expectation. To top things off, they offered us a package that included a gorgeous delicious cake and a night in their high class hotel!
The food was exactly as I envisioned, and he made adjustments whenever needed without a hitch.
His professionalism and attention to detail ensured everything went smoothly.
We couldn’t have done it without him! We owe so much of our day to Rain and his fantastic team. Truly outstanding!
