We first visited the North Farm on a very snowy, cold day in January 2022. Despite the awful weather, we knew the North Farm was something special, and James and Abbey (who kindly walked us around the grounds, despite the wind and snow), were truly delightful. It was "good vibes" all around and we signed our contract right after the visit!

Fast forward to August 2023, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. James, Sophie, and Abbey are wonderful hosts. Throughout the entire planning period, James was attentive and responsive via email, and allowed us to visit the farm again during warmer weather with our families. Around our wedding day, we stayed two nights in their suite (which is so beautiful and peaceful). Again, they tended to the most minor of details and made us feel welcomed and cared for during what can be a stressful time! Sophie brought us a delicious breakfast each morning, and it was so special to ease into the day. We truly hope to return and celebrate anniversaries to come. Thank you, thank you!

After visiting most outdoor venues in the Finger Lakes, we found The North Farm and immediately fell in love. The property has multiple historic barns, a studio for the bride & groom, working agricultural land, and a lake view (if you're willing to take a short walk). It's the ultimate Finger Lakes Farm Fantasy venue.

My favorite part: each phase of the wedding happened in a different space which created delightful surprises and natural transitions for the guests. The venue brings the vibes. You won't need too add much.

The owners - James , Abbey, and Sophie - were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the process. On the wedding day, they ensured our older guests were comfortable and able to safely navigate the property (golf cart transport, water delivery, excellent jokes). They charmed us all to say the least!

This review is WAY overdue but as our anniversary approaches we have been thinking about our perfect wedding day at The North Farm and wanted to share our experience! Like so many others, our original 2020 wedding plans were thwarted by Covid and we ended up postponing twice AND changing our venue entirely as our our first one could no longer host us. We were informed 3 months before our date that we had to find a new venue so we started our search all over again and immediately fell in love with TNF and were so excited that they had a date open that worked for us and our vendors. First and foremost, we cannot say enough kind words about the owner, Sophie; she was so understanding of our situation and our shortened timeline for planning and literally did everything she could to help us make our day happen. She and the coordinator at the time, Kate, rallied around us to work with our vendors and recreate our wedding vision in just 5 months, always in constant communication and making sure everyone was on the same page. When wedding day came everything went off without a single hitch! Note: they hold one wedding a weekend so we had ample time for setup/teardown which was GREATLY appreciated!

I could go on about their kindness for days but I need to make sure I also rave about the absolutely gorgeous property! We had a couple of lovely options for an outdoor ceremony as well as a backup plan to move it into the main barn in the event of rain-thankfully we didn't need to move inside as the weather was perfect and we had our ceremony up on the hill of the farm overlooking Seneca lake. We loved that there was a designated area for each part of our wedding and our guests loved this as well! Cocktail hour in the courtyard, dinner in the lower level of the barn and then we moved the party upstairs for dancing and dessert. There was plenty of space, lounge areas for people who needed a break from dancing, an area for lawn games-something for everyone!

I know this has been long winded but if you're still reading this, we just want to say that if you are looking for a venue with a sophisticated and vintage feel and the best host-look no further. Our style was to keep things simple in terms of decor and we're so glad we did because the buildings and grounds added so much character and natural beauty to our day and to our photos-there was no shortage of photo ops/locations! Sophie and her team/family very obviously take such great care of this amazing venue, and genuinely want to make sure that their guests are happy. Thank you again, Sophie & The North Farm!! We just celebrated our wedding at The North Farm this past weekend and it was just incredible! What I loved most about the venue was the different use of spaces, you had a different area for cocktails, dinner, dancing, and lounging so it really created an experience for our guests. I also got so many compliments from guests and vendors commenting on how beautiful and unique the space was! They even have the most amazing view of Seneca Lake just up the hill which provides an amazing backdrop for pictures.

James and Abbey were also the most amazing hosts at The North Farm, they guided us through the property and were extremely accommodating with anything we needed. Couldn't have asked for a more amazing venue and set of hosts for our wedding. Would highly recommend!

My fiancée and I knew we wanted a unique wedding venue away from NYC. We also wanted to provide guests with an unforgettable experience. The North Farm delivered on so many levels and provided a hands on approach to make our day special for us and all of our guests.

The North Farm is NOT a factory venue. When you book a date, you’re actually reserving the space for the entire weekend. This allows for you much needed to time to prepare for your big day! Whether you need to drop off table numbers, or have vendors come set things up, the owner (Sophie is extremely flexible with time to ensure everything is set exactly as you want!

Our outdoor ceremony overlooked Seneca lake and provided a private, romantic setting where we could share our most intimate moment with friends and family.

Dinner in the barn with the provided chairs and farm tables, brought our loved together in a comfortable, intimate setting. The barn is naturally cool, so even on a hot August day, we were all extremely comfortable and enjoying delicious farm-to-table fare.

What I loved most about this venue, is the reception location is actually upstairs from the dinning room. This allowed our guests to get away from the confines of an assigned table and co-mingle/dance. I know I’m biased but I’ve never seen so much dancing at a wedding, and I think separate locations for dinner/reception was a huge part to encouraging people to dance.

The venue was tastefully designed with high tops and chairs for cocktail hour and reception and the venue is beautifully landscaped with natural flowers to compliment any theme.

Overall The North Farm was the BEST decision we made for vendors on our wedding day. We were able to create an event unlike any other, and our friends and family are still raving about the experience.

Final recommendation. Stay in Sophie’s loft for the weekend. You’ll be onsite and her breakfast is literally the best I’ve ever had. Bring your appetite because there are multiple courses. All of her ingredients are carefully curated to highlight local and organic ingredients and eggs are gathered from her own chickens. We were living our best farm life that weekend and we can’t wait to return.

Sophie becomes family and you can tell hosting couples and parties is a passion of love, not a moneymaking venture.

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the North Farm. It was really the perfect venue for us. Adrienne, Sophie and Kate were so great to work with and always there to support us throughout the wedding planning year. Sophie was always available when we wanted to swing by for planning visits and is such an amazing host. The North Farm is such a beautiful place and we feel so grateful to have had our wedding there.

The NorthFarm is a truly beautiful and magical wedding venue. I visited it in February in the cold of winter with tons of snow and could still see how beautiful the venue was...so we booked it right away for a September wedding in 2020. Due to Covid, our plans for the wedding changed a few times (going from 170 people to just 10 people), and the owners (Adrienne and her mother Sophie) were nothing but flexible and helpful to accommodate all of our changes- many times! The property is stunning, and we got married at the top of their hill over-looking Seneca lake this past September. There were wildflowers and beautiful grasses everywhere, making it so scenic and gorgeous. My sister said it was the most picturesque wedding ceremony she has ever been to! Whether you are planning a wedding small or large, we HIGHLY recommend the North Farm. The family is wonderful, and so accommodating. Sophie was there the day of the wedding to help us set up the flowers on the arch and provided us with champaign flutes for a toast after the wedding. While my husband and I took some solo pictures, Sophie had chairs set up and blankets set out in the barn for our 8 guests to relax and drink some champagne on the chilly evening. Also the property makes the ideal backdrop for all wedding photos!!! It was so easy and beautiful, you truly cannot go wrong!!

We got married at The North Farm in early September and the entire event was more beautiful than we ever imagined. To start, we planned our entire wedding from out of state and did not see the venue in person until after we already committed to it. As soon as we stepped foot on the farm, we knew we made the right choice. Sophie and Adrienne were so warmly inviting, reassuring, and accommodating throughout the whole process. We gladly accepted several of their recommendations for vendors, all of whom exceeded our expectations. They went above and beyond to help us set up over several days, make contingency plans for weather, and ultimately have the most magical experience.

Overall, the space was rustic, relaxed, inviting, elegant, and incredibly versatile. We personally wanted our day to feel both laid back and classy, and The North Farm provided the most perfect balance for our vision. We loved the effortless flow between the different spaces, from the ceremony up the hill, to cocktail hour in the courtyard, dining in the lower part of the barn, and dancing in the main space. So much was taken care of for us behind the scenes that we had no choice but to fully immerse ourselves in the big day and enjoy every moment of it. We stayed at the Maison (suite on site) for 2 nights and couldn't imagine a more lovely, dreamy space to get ready throughout day and spend the night. Added bonus, Sophie's breakfasts are to die for and we can't wait to make our way back to stay there again!

Sophie and Adrienne have expertly curated the most magical space. Getting married here was the best decision we could have made!

We could not have picked a more perfect venue for a wedding. Everything was exactly as we imagined it, and the venue (Sophie and Adrienne) worked with us to make sure our vision came to life. From the beautiful reception on the top of the hill, to the the gorgeous dinner in the renovated downstairs barn and unique layout of the upstairs reception, it was a pleasure to work with The North Farm.

There were options for different scenarios, if you had different visions or different tastes in vendors (no vendor was a *must* for the venue so you could completely customize you wedding to what you wanted). Everything and everyone worked seamlessly with each other and the amount of stress we thought we would be under was just not there.

I can't recommend this venue any more.
