About

The Mansion, mainly known as the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs, is a historic site and wedding venue located in Austin, Texas. This elegant and grand historic building contains a majestic ballroom, as well as spacious interior and exterior spaces, allowing for the perfect setting for wedding ceremonies and receptions. With dramatic columns, expansive windows, a grand piano, antique Victorian furniture and sparkling crystal wall sconces, The Mansion can fit any wedding theme, from vintage chic to upscale glamour.

Facilities and Capacity
This venue offers multiple indoor and outdoor event spaces to accommodate up to 299 wedding guests. Indoor wedding ceremonies and receptions can be held in the 4,000-square-foot magnificent and classic Grand Ballroom, with polished oak floors, soaring ceilings, a curtained stage, and vintage bronze and crystal wall sconces. The Georgian Room, a former tea room, provides a throwback to the 1930s with the original hat-check stand, hardwood flooring, wall sconces, tall windows and a vaulted ceiling. Outdoor wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours can be held in the scenic Classic Garden Courtyard surrounded by a stone fountain, Greek-style pergola and beautiful flowers. Additional event spaces include the following:

The Mansion offers venue rental for weddings and other social events. Venue rental can include one event space or the entire venue, but only one event is held at a time. Event services offered include the following:

The Mansion is an ideal location for hosting private parties of varying sizes. In addition to wedding ceremonies and receptions, this location can accommodate all of your wedding events, such as engagement parties, bridal showers and rehearsal dinners. History
Since opening in 1931, the TFWC Mansion has been a setting to entertain and celebrate. The Mansion is a Texas and Austin Historic Landmark, and is listed with the National Register of Historic Places.

Location
This wedding venue is centrally located near the University of Texas West Campus. The Mansion is only a short drive from local churches, hotels and restaurants.

Stunning and Elegant Venue

My husband and I chose the Mansion because we frequented their swing dance nights during our dating days. It holds a special place in our hearts, and since it's so beautiful, it was the perfect place for us to host our wedding reception. Booking and confirming details with their staff was so easy. The bridal room is stunning, and the many rooms were perfect for guests to mingle during cocktail hour. Since the Mansion allows outside vendors, we were able to make the day exactly what we wanted with drinks, food, and decor. The only thing I wish I knew to budget was ice and cooling containers for the drinks. The Mansion does not have an ice maker, so you'll have to provide that as well as coolers or bins to keep your drinks cool. Other than that little detail, it was perfect! The Mansion is a dream spot!

We had our wedding at The Mansion last month and it was amazing!! After our long wait to have our wedding this spot lived up to the hype. The venue itself is gorgeous. The courtyard was beautiful spot for the ceremony and it is connected to the ball room. Guest were taking pictures all around the venue through out the night. Due to covid we had to postpone our wedding three times in the last year. Mari and the staff at The Mansion were so easy to work with and extremely helpful as we were rescheduling. Cannot stress enough how helpful Mari was through out the whole planning process. She was extremely communicative and timely. She also had recommended vendors for several things we needed, which is always extremely helpful. We had the most perfect day, and I would recommend this place to anyone!

Amazing Place for a Wedding!

My husband and I had our wedding at the TFWC Mansion, and we were so pleased with how it turned out. We worked with Mari throughout the planning process, and she was more than accommodating when it came to our questions and visits to double check the space. The price point for the venue is very reasonable, especially in comparison to other wedding venues. We were able to go with a Saturday wedding instead of Sunday because the prices were so similar. It was also greatly convenient having rentals available through the venue. We arrived the day of, and the tables and chairs were all set up and ready to go how we wanted, and we were able to leave them at the end of the night. Overall, we were so happy with our experience at the Mansion.

the perfect venue!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the TFWC in March and couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue! Not only was the courtyard beautiful for an outdoor ceremony and the ballroom breathtaking for the reception, but Mari, the manager, was so great to work with! It's a historic building with southern charms and so many of my guests commented on how beautiful and unique the venue was. Not only that but they allow outside catering so I was able to have New Fortune Restaurant cater an 8 course asian banquet and had an open bar for a fraction of what I would've paid elsewhere. Another great thing about the Fed is that it's in downtown Austin making if convenient for guests since it's only a 5 minute uber ride from their hotels instead of an hour bus ride to Dripping Springs. We absolutely recommend this venue for any bride who wants a unique venue with lots of character and charm rather than the typical hotel ballroom.

Dream Come True

The Mansion was an absolute dream to get married in. My husband and I had our ceremony in the courtyard, cocktail hour in the front rooms, and the dinner/reception in the ballroom. The Mansion has so much charm, history, and beauty so you don't have to add much to make for a stunning wedding. Our guests were so impressed and we received many compliments. We could not have been happier with our experience here. An added bonus is that my parents got married here 35 years ago so The Mansion is extra special to us and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

The perfect venue! It was the first one I looked at and the other ones couldn’t compare! Everyone who works there is incredibly nice and professional. It was easy to set up multiple walk throughs during the planning process with a quick email!

Everyone at the Mansion was amazing to work with and they made everything easy for us. The building itself is absolutely beautiful and my guests are still talking about it months after the wedding.

Our guests could not say enough wonderful things about this venue. It’s natural decor makes decorating easy and simple. The Mansion is gorgeous from the moment you walk into the front door to the ballroom in the back. We had about 120 guests and The Mansion’s size and multiple rooms makes having a larger group feel less crowded. From the moment my husband and I went to look at the venue Mari has been nothing but helpful and patient. She was always quick to respond to our emails and made this part of the planning process easy. Thanks Mari!

TFWC Mansion is a wonderful Austin wedding venue that is centrally located where your guests can easily get to and from. It has a built in rain plan and a few ceremony space options. This venue was one of the only ones in the city that can comfortably accommodate more than 150 guests at a reasonable price and not to mention how beautiful the venue is without much need for extra decor. Mari, the venue manager, is absolutely phenomenal to work with.

The Mansion was the PERFECT choice for our wedding venue! The ambience and unique characteristics of the venue suited our personal aesthetics to the detail and we loved how welcoming the space was for our large guest list. Mari was a breeze to work with and we were floored by the amazing value of the venue for everything you got. We brought in some outside vendors to assist with extra decor here and there, but honestly, we could have had the same event with very little extra brought in and it still would have looked wonderful. This is a fantastic (and very central) Austin venue and we are glad to have had made one of our biggest life memories here!

We have DJed at the Texas Federation Women's Club Mansion many times and have enjoyed their facility. This is a perfect facility for large weddings and receptions as there is plenty of room to accomodate large groups of guests. Many times when we have been here, we have set up a separate audio system in the front area for cocktail hour, which allows guests to enjoy music while being away from the main reception hall. The stage also provides ample space for our large DJ setup. If you are looking for a large venue in the heart of downtown Austin, this is the facilty to go with.
