I don't know many other couples who can honestly say there is nothing they would change about their wedding - but we can! With the help of the Lakeside Inn staff our wedding was perfect. From day one Cat and her team were amazing to work with. They accommodated all of our special requests (decor, live band, vegetarian food options, signature drinks, having our dogs present for the outdoor ceremony) as well as handling all of the minutiae. We chose this venue in part because of how close it was to our home but ended up coordinating mostly remotely (by choice) making the entire process incredibly easy and stress free. Even with all of the preparation they still managed to surprise us with several personalized details. It was a truly magical experience, and we cannot thank them enough

We just had our wedding at Lakeside Inn, and we seriously could not have picked a better place. Cheryl, the person in charge of organizing events at the inn, is simply AMAZING!!! She is so friendly, kind, gracious, helpful, and professional. She walked us through the whole process, was never fazed by our questions, and always took the time to make sure we were happy with how things were going. She is SUPER creative and talented, and came up with so many cool ideas for our event!!

Cheryl is someone you can completely trust with your wedding. I told her that if she needed to make any decisions the day of, to go right ahead and not even ask (since we'd be at the ceremony elsewhere). When we came back for the reception, it was a little colder and drizzlier than we had anticipated... but she had added cute pop-up tents and blankets on the benches outside around the fire pit, which she had just bought so that we could still enjoy the lawn and not get cold!! Our guests loved it and everyone snuggled up around the fire pit while the more intrepid ones ran around on the grass!

The inn is very nice inside. We rented the whole downstairs, which I recommend if you want to use the lawn and the indoors. The dining room is beautiful and newly renovated, and having the whole bar to ourselves was a great choice. We held the dancing there, and guests could play pool or hang out by the fire pit with s'mores while not dancing. It was beautiful by the lake!

The one thing that was challenging (which I hesitate to mention, because this was literally our only problem) was the room booking process. There was no online system at the time for booking with the group rate, and because of a weird e-mail quirk, a lot of our guests didn't receive confirmations even though the inn staff in charge of this part sent them out. But we sorted it all out in the end.

All in all, I highly recommend Cheryl and the Lakeside Inn, and we hope to go back and visit when we can!!

The Lakeside Inn is a stellar local venue with a wonderful and caring event staff! For our 100 person wedding in September, the Lakeside Inn guided us every step of the way, through food, decor, booking rooms for guests and more! They were attentive, professional, and helped us have the wedding we wanted at a reasonable price point. As an LGBT couple, we were also pleased with the hotel’s welcoming team and inclusive environment. Special thanks to Cat for all her help! We would recommend the Lakeside Inn if you are looking for an affordable venue with beautiful lake scenery!

First appearances are deceiving. The front of the Lakeside building is unassuming, but the Yorkshire room and back lawn setting are absolutely gorgeous! The room has bowed glass windows that look out on the lawn. The lawn is right on the lake. There's nothing like it in the area. Great value for the price -- we looked at places that cost significantly more and were nowhere near as nice. We worked with Catherine Nigro, the Catering and Function Sales Manager, to plan the event. She is INCREDIBLE! Cat is a great listener who took the time to understand what we wanted, and to also suggest nice touches that hadn't occurred to us. She used her networks to find us a great DJ on relatively short notice. On the day of the event there were a few curve balls due to an unanticipated level of traffic in Wakefield. Cat was so flexible and gracious, working with her team to make adjustments on the fly. As the mother of the bride, I was freed up to be a relaxed host and celebrate the wedding because the Lakeside team was working diligently behind the scenes to make things as stress free as possible. This is the place to pick if you want to host a lovely event in a picturesque setting that is managed by a professional, thoughtful, and friendly staff.

This was such a wonderful event. It was a rehearsal brunch for our son and now new wife. All our guests loved the venue! Great location, easy to find, beautiful view of Lake Quannapowitt from the room. Leah was so helpful and kept in touch, loved working with her! She had great ideas and everything was set up beautifully. She kept everything going so smoothly that I was not stressed at all...and the food was so good. Everyone loved the omelet station! The staff was very helpful and nice to all. They were right there for us. Great experience, It looked lovely too. highly recommend this venue!

Our wedding reception was held at the lakeside inn. The wedding was for 50 people and the space was perfect. The customer service was exceptional. The stuff was polite, friendly, and helped to create a comfortable atmosphere. Cheryl, the event coordinator , helped with any requests or questions prior to the wedding and acted as a wedding planner almost. I had overall very pleasant experience and would definitely recommend.

We were very happy with the service and food at my daughter's baptism reception. The Latin Grill was absolutely scrumptious and so was the cake! The carne asada and mojo chicken were perfectly seasoned and cooked and the steak was so tender it just melted in my mouth. The guacamole and other condiments were very tasty as well. The cake was a made by a local lady, not a major bakery. Both exceeded our expectations.

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for value and flexibility is because you are not allowed to take any leftover food home (except for cake).
