I had my wedding at The Inn on Pamlico Sound and it was truly magical. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make the entire weekend seamless. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel so supported throughout the planning process and on the big day.

And the food—wow. I’ve eaten at the Inn several times and already knew it was incredible, but they delivered the same exceptional quality for our wedding. Our guests have not stopped talking about how delicious everything was!

The venue itself is stunning, the service is unmatched, and the overall experience completely exceeded our expectations. If you’re thinking about hosting your wedding at the Inn, stop thinking and just do it. It was the best decision we made! 💛

This review is long overdue but SO well deserved. My husband and I chose the Inn on Pamlico Sound for our (slightly) last minute wedding back in late 2023. Due to some pretty big life events that occurred shortly after, leaving a review for this amazing venue completely slipped my mind amidst dealing with the situation at the time! :( For me to come back 2 years later to leave this should prove to anyone reading how spectacular this venue and its staff truly are.

My husband and I had a dream of getting married in OBX for the longest time but always felt that it was just a pipe dream until we found Pamlico Inn. We planned on having a small wedding with our most cherished family/friends as well as a slightly tight budget to work with and a shorter timeline than most people. To say that Meredith (the event coordinator) and her team went above and beyond for us is an understatement! She was absolutely fantastic from the moment we first spoke with her following all the way through the planning and the wedding day itself. They were organized, communicative, and thoughtful. She helped us plan every detail and made sure everything went perfectly. My husband and I as well as our bridal party arrived a few days before the wedding to prepare and setup. Meredith was so kind to everyone as well as the rest of the staff and helped everyone feel very comfortable and taken care of. Meredith and I were discussing the table arrangements for the next day and she gave my sister and I the opportunity to have fun with her decor and supplies and create her an example of an arrangement that we would love. So that's exactly what we did! And the wedding staff replicated it PERFECTLY!! It was really a dream come true (especially because I'm a crafty person who likes to decorate) and it really felt like everyone cared about making sure we were happy. Everything was genuinely taken care of so well and it provided us with so much peace. It felt like we were on vacation which we are grateful for because all I ever hear about from others is how stressful their wedding day was!

All of our guests (who were quite tired from their journey all the way from NJ) were truly blown away by this little gem by the ocean as well as my husband and I. The venue and hotel were calm, relaxing, clean, and cozy. The restaurant onsite has great food and our food at our wedding was even BETTER! Our guests have been to many weddings before and they genuinely still rave about our humble, beautiful, little wedding to this day! Everyone loved the atmosphere, the decor, the staff, the food (especially the tuna tataki and our signature drinks!!) the grounds and how laid back everything was. Some of our guests even say it was their favorite wedding that they have ever been to :) It truly felt like we were all a part of a piece of Heaven that day (especially with the sunset skies over the sound, come on!!)

Our wedding day and wedding weekend were truly a dream come true. OBX has always been special to my husband and I. It was truly a blessing from start to finish. We are forever grateful to Pamlico Inn, Meredith, Steve and the rest of the staff for a day that we will cherish forever. We cannot wait to go back and create more memories there as the years go by and relive our wedding day as we grow old together.

We very much enjoyed our Just We Two wedding at the Inn. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was nice, and the food at the restaurant was wonderful. Since it was just us, the B & B was a perfect small, quiet setting for us to get married. I would recommend it highly to anyone looking to do the same thing!

Beyond expectations and an absolutely amazing experience! We reserved The Inn on Pamilco Sound  in Buxton, NC for 3 nights in September 2025 for my son's wedding venue. It is understandable why The Inn is rated as the top venue for weddings in the Outer Banks, NC. Meredith, the wedding coordinator,  was so knowledgeable,  informative, flexible and pleasant in putting our selected package together and making all our wishes come to fruition without disappointment. She provided a list of possible vendors for us to contact for music,  hair styling,  bakeries, florists, officiants, photographers well in advance and guided us through every step needed as we approached the wedding day. The Inn on Pamilco Sound offers numerous meal selections to choose from and it should be noted that Cafe Pamlico restaurant at the Inn is rated as the top restaurant in the Outer Banks. Our rehearsal dinner and reception dinner was very delicious and wedding guest commented on its excellence of taste and presentation.  A dedicated staff of servers was assigned for our event and they were most attentive,  professional and friendly. Tasha, the general manager of the Inn, ensured our stay at the Inn was memorable with comfort, pampering and ease. Tasha was unwavering in her desire to please and accommodate our every need. Since we occupied all of the 13 bedrooms at the Inn, we had the entire facility to ourselves as a private venue. It was like living in a huge home with employees catering to our needs and a very safe environment for the children to explore and play throughout the Inn and its grounds. We took advantage of the free amenities during our stay using the pool, bar, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and an open firepit at waters edge for evening gatherings.  They also have an indoor theater for private use and beach chairs and umbrellas available. Some of the bedrooms have balconies which overlook the Pamilco Sound and are situated so you can enjoy watching both sunrise and sunset.  The wedding ceremony was conducted with the backdrop of the sound and after the ceremony we all enjoyed a most spectacular sunset. The venue offers a dance floor area. I can not praise the employees at the Inn enough for creating the most eloquent wedding for our special day. Thank you to the event staff: Merdith, Tasha, Melissa,  Ashley, Aylah and Olivia. Support staff: Sean, Huber, Abi, Canaan, Mark and Jasmine. And a huge shout out to Steve for creating this beautiful and romantic venue.  I highly recommend The Inn on Pamilco Sound and Cafe Pamlico.

From start to finish, the Inn was great. Meredith is a great planner and made sure the weekend went smoothly! Everything was well organized and went as planned. The rehearsal dinner food and wedding food were amazing. We received so many compliments on the food from our guests. They did a great job with set up and clean up. It was one of the best weekends of my life and I can’t thank the Inn enough for putting together such a special weekend for us.

The Inn on Pamlico Sound was everything we had hoped it would be! The location was stunning! The ocean backdrop for our ceremony was more than we could have ever dreamed of! Me and my wife just got married at The Inn on Pamlico Sound, and it was everything we dreamed of and more. I worked at the Inn years ago and always thought it was the most beautiful venue. Seven years later, I got to experience it in a whole new way as we celebrated our wedding.

We booked the full wedding weekend package, and it was absolutely perfect. Our entire wedding party stayed at the Inn from Thursday to Sunday, and it felt like a dream getaway for everyone. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of, and the setting itself is unmatched—stunning views, peaceful atmosphere, and the perfect backdrop for our big day.

OBX has always been special to us and a wedding at the beach was a no brainer. We instantly fell in love with the Inn when we went there for dinner prior to securing the venue. The staff is incredibly friendly-- they truly go above and beyond to ensure that your time there is the absolute best. Booking your wedding there means you get to work with their amazing Event Coordinator, Meredith Harris, who is truly incredible at her job! She is so easy to talk to, makes your feel at home when you are at the Inn and makes the wedding planning process so seamless. Every guest at our wedding was so impressed by the staff at the Inn and told me that it was their favorite wedding they had ever been to! I believe that is truly because of the staff, the incredible location and the amazing food. I always thought it was cliché when people said their wedding day was perfect and felt like a dream but the staff at the Inn made this concept a reality. Thank you so much :)

We got married at the Inn on Monday June 2nd, 2025. The day of our rehearsal dinner, I didn't lift a finger. I didn't have to make any calls, answer any questions, or worry about a single detail. We just showed up, rehearsed, ate good food, and partied! The same thing happened on my wedding day. We got ready in the theater room while the coordinator and the staff put together my dream reception area. Again, all I had to think about was hair and makeup.
Everything unfolded smoothly and beautifully. The sound was the perfect backdrop- it couldn't have been any prettier.
The food at our wedding- FOUR COURSES- was some of the best food I, and our families, had ever had. Everyone was raving about it.
At the end of the night, they wrapped up everything for us (food, flowers, decor that we brought) so that we could easily load it into our car and leave for the night. I am so glad we chose the Inn as the place for our special day. They told us, the day we booked, that once we have entrusted them with our wedding- we wouldn't have to worry about a thing. They fulfilled their promise. We can't wait to go back and make more memories.
