When we were looking for a reception venue we wanted something that didn't require much decor and wanted the venue to be our backdrop. Not only is Duck Woods beautiful and very well maintained, the service and experience made the entire event so enjoyable! Lauren does an amazing job at organizing and met every single one of our requests. Her staff was so helpful and organized and the food was absolutely delicious! 11/10 experience!

We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. The currituck club fit all of our needs and was beautiful for our wedding. We had 110 people and needed to get the tent which honestly was so nice to have the flexible seating for guest who didn’t want to be under the veranda dancing the whole time. It sprinkled during our wedding but I don’t think anyone really cared because they were surrounded by beautiful views of the sound. Jules and her team were the best! Anything we needed or wanted they got it right away for us even for the guests. They made the day so enjoyable and care free! Our guests are still raving about the cocktail hour food! We couldn’t have asked for a better day and better place to have our wedding.

Great location if you want the beautiful OBX wedding on the water with stunning sunsets and backgrounds without all the complications that come with beach weddings. Nicole and the staff were very responsive and accommodating to our every need through the entire process and day of. They handled any of unexpected things that pop up with grace and professionalism. Food from start to finish was amazing and received numerous compliments from guests. Guests also enjoyed the views and atmosphere for all the photo opportunities it provided for them and their loved ones. We had a smaller wedding and NHGL were flexible and able to scale the celebration accordingly which was not the case with many other places.

With limited options in our area, we came across Ablemarle Plantation. When we requested more info, they were in a transition of personnel but Lee Duncan stepped up and took care of everything! From emails to site visit, Lee was great to work with. For what they offer at the price they charge, ITS THE BEST VENUE AROUND! The deciding factor was the service Lee provided!

Our wedding at the Hatteras Marlin Club was an absolute dream! The breathtaking location on the sound provided the perfect backdrop for our special day, and we couldn’t have asked for a more incredible experience. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect—they were so accommodating with our schedule and truly made the planning process seamless. On the day of the wedding, everything ran like clockwork, and the compliments from our guests were endless. From the stunning views to the exceptional service, the Hatteras Marlin Club exceeded all of our expectations. If you’re looking for a venue that combines natural beauty with an amazing team of professionals, look no further.
