The Hartford Club is a business center and banquet wedding venue in Hartford, Connecticut. Founded in 1873, this historic clubhouse offers something for every wedding event, from the intimate affair to the grand celebration. Facilities and Capacity
The Hartford Club offers both indoor and outdoor areas for your wedding ceremony and reception. Outside there are several grassy areas for an outdoor ceremony. You can then lead guests to the open patio for cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres. The patio can be used for your reception as well if you have a smaller party. If not, the clubhouse can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. It offers seven distinct dining rooms which can accommodate custom floor plans and decor to enhance your wedding theme. The clubhouse offers intimate dining areas with traditional decor, warm wooden walls, and a fireplace in most areas to keep guests warm during winter weddings. Each of these areas can include small dining tables for two to four guests, and arranged in a way that meets your guest count. Prior to the ceremony you and your fiance are invited to use the private suites to get ready and relax.

You’ll work with a Hartford Club event planner to organize the details of your event from beginning to end. You’ll also get to work with their talented culinary and banquet staff to plan your menu. All Hartford Club menus are custom prepared to suit your personal tastes and the dietary needs of your guests.
Cuisine
The Hartford Club offers the finest catering menu to suit all couples’ preferences. You’ll work with the culinary staff one on one to determine your main meal, as well as selections for a cheese table, harvest table or hot hors d’oeuvres, served buffet style or butlered. All menus are curated from seasonal vegetable options and fresh meats, as well as savory seafood options.

First of all, the food is outstanding! We were blown away at our first food tasting, and it only got better. At the wedding, everyone raved about the food, and we had comments that it was the best wedding food guests had ever eaten.
The location itself is gorgeous. The reception is inside in a beautiful large ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows that look out on the golf course. The ceremony can be done on site, either indoors or outdoors My husband and I were married in October, and we were blessed enough to have a beautiful day to get married outside on the lawn behind the house. The foliage was beautiful, the lawn was perfectly manicured, and it was wonderful. There is a room separate from the reception hall that is available for the ceremony should the weather be poor, and it is also a nice room with views over the golf course.
James, the events coordinator, is phenomenal. He was very friendly, very professional, and very helpful with suggestions when we were unsure what to do. The team at the Golf Club were all very professional and helpful, and the servers were prompt and always willing and able to help. James stuck around for the whole rehearsal and event to help us and make sure everything was exactly what we wanted. When we had questions about what happened next, he was there, making sure everything went smoothly. His team was a huge help in placing our centerpieces and making sure everything was where it should be.
The only bad thing about the Golf Club is that they do a ton of events throughout the year. Sometimes James has a lot going on with other events and is unable to get back to you very quickly. However, when he does get back to you, he has all of your answers and stays on top of things. I never doubted that it would be a wonderful day, and it absolutely was!
Definitely go with the Hartford Golf Club; they are the best!
