The William Mason House, Circa 1845, is located on Thompson Hill, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Connecticut. Built by mill owner William H. Mason, at the time Thompson's most powerful and wealthiest resident, the structure is matched by few others of its style in the state. Abandoned for decades, the historic estate was privately acquired in 2019 and is being lovingly restored to its former elegance.
The beloved nineteenth century mansion bows to the old and nods to the new. Guests will experience life of a bygone era, in twenty-first century grandeur.
The William Mason House will open our doors in Autumn 2023.

If you're in search of the perfect wedding venue, look no further than William Mason House. From start to finish, our experience exceeded all expectations, and I can say without a doubt that there is no other venue that can compare to the level of luxury and attention to detail we encountered here.
Upon arriving, we were immediately enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance. Every inch of the venue exuded class, from the beautifully appointed rooms to the stunning reception tent. You could tell that no detail was overlooked, and that commitment to excellence was evident throughout our entire wedding weekend.
The food? Absolutely exquisite! Each dish was crafted with care and creativity, leaving our guests raving about the culinary experience long after the celebration. The presentation was top-notch, too—every plate looked like a work of art that tasted just as divine.
But what truly sets William Mason House apart is the incredible staff, and especially the dynamic mother-daughter duo, Kelly and Channing. These two are absolute gems! They provided unwavering support throughout the planning process, guiding us every step of the way. Their attention to detail and ability to anticipate our needs made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. It truly felt like we were in the hands of experts who genuinely cared about making our day perfect.
