The Elm City Club offers a beautiful wedding venue located in downtown New Haven, Connecticut. The Club is located in a historic building with New England charm and offers wedding menus that fits the style of your event, as well as Elm City Club's professional staff who will work with you to customize your special day to your specifications!

Facilities and Capacity
We can accommodate up to 175 guests in its Main Dining Room, which is the largest room available. The Great Hall can accommodate up to 90 seated guests, or 150 for a cocktail hour or reception. The Library and Gold Room can accommodate more intimate weddings between 15 and 75 guests.

The Club offers 15 guest rooms, including 2 bridal suites.

Beautiful Historic Venue

The Elm City Club (Graduate Club) is a beautiful venue that takes care of everything for you. One point of contact, Sandra, for your food (which is awesome), and choices. You can choose to scale up or scale down your wedding with appetizers, dessert bars, actual bar options. You have the flexibility to be simple or extremely high end. We loved the lobster roll sliders, the food in general, and the fact that Sandra worked with us to have a slider bar at 10:00 pm. Plus, there are guest rooms and a library upstairs so there's great options for the bridal party to stay and to get ready at the venue, but in a different place. You are the only event at the venue, and our wedding was absolutely stunning.

Exceeded our expectations

The Sandra and her team at the Graduate club were a pleasure to work with. Their hospitality and accommodation for us our guests and even our other vendors are much appreciated.

We had a Sunday brunch reception which I a little out of the ordinary but the Graduate club delivered!
We are still hearing about how good and beautiful everything was. The food was delicious, especially the hors d'oeuvres! Everyone loved the flowers too! It was everything and more beautiful than what I envisioned it!

Pure Perfection

I can’t say enough about how amazing it was to work with the staff at the Q Club in New Haven. They made my vision of a prohibition themed wedding come to life! Every detail was spot on perfection! The food was exceptional, their in-house made centerpieces breathtaking and their service exceeded all expectations. Not a beat was missed as everyone working accommodated every guest in a quick and efficient manner. I truly felt like I was back in the 1920s as I entered their elegant ballroom. My dreams came true as every minute of my wedding went by; memories I’ll treasure forever. The Q Club made everything possible; I couldn’t of picked a more suited venue.

The Graduate Club was the perfect venue for my daughter and son in laws wedding. They both went to Yale where their relationship started so we wanted to have the wedding there. We went to see it and fell in love with it. All the other places we looked at were too generic. They got married at Battel Chapel right across the street and were able to take pictures on campus and in Calhoun college where they met. The Graduate Club is very quaint and has a ton of personality. The staff could not be more accommodating and they were all so very nice. All the guests raved about the food, the staff and the club. They had the wedding of their dreams and I could not be happier. Thank you for everything you did to make their wedding perfect. I would definitely recommend The Graduate Club to anyone who asked.

The Club is absolutely beautiful. It is located in downtown New Haven in the midst of the Yale campus. The staff is incredibly accommodating and very flexible in making a memorable event, within your budgetary confines. The location and the service are top notch.

I had a 95-person wedding reception at the Graduate Club this past month and cannot recommend the venue enough! Sandra was responsive and professional in coordinating the event and pulled everything off flawlessly. Compared to other venue options, the Club was also very reasonably priced. If you're into an old-fashioned, New England B&B feel, this is the right place for you. The staff is friendly, the food great and the entire place charming and cozy.

Also, one note in response to the review below: the Club is able to stay open until (at least) midnight. We partied until 12AM and then a few guests hit the bars nearby.

The Graduate Club was a great venue for our wedding reception. The care taken with the food and tables was immense, and the bar was run very well. The club handled the table settings and centerpieces, taking that off our minds before the wedding, and they were beautiful. The manager there helped move the reception along throughout the night, and the service was impeccable.

Beautiful venue. Cute little manor right on the Green, very knowledgeable, accommodating staff and simply AMAZING food at ridiculously good prices. We had a lot of requests (glutenfree, food allergies, vegetarians) and everyone kept saying how surprised they were with the unique food. They even had an ice cream bar for our guests who didn't like cake! Really superb experience. Has rooms for the newly weds too--no need to drive!

Had a great reception here. Location is perfect for downtown New Haven. Classic decorations inside. It definitly was easier to personalize than a 'wedding hall' type place. Party did have to end by 10 pm and that was a downside--but then everyone just went out to their own bar hopping!
